In today's video we are kicking off major upgrades/renovations to the garage of our toy hauler, a 2021 Grand Design Momentum 399TH-R. We have been living the RV life full time in our toy hauler for over a year now and it's time to make our garage feel a little more homey. In this video, part 1, we are ripping the aluminum paneling off the walls in the garage space, building up the dove tail ramp and laying new flooring. These are not easy renovations but they are definitely rewarding. We've learned that the more comfortable you are in a space, the easier it is to live in it. We no longer own a toy hauler...Nope, meet the "Parent Hauler". Master bedroom here we come!

What’s your favorite RV modification you have done?
That is quite the project! Great idea filling the holes from the D-rings with spray foam. We’re definitely getting ideas for our garage space! You really did a marvelous job; it looks so homey & cozy.

This looks really good. I love the flooring choice. We put this same type of flooring in our basement. Very flexible, waterproof, and easy to cut and work with. Can't wait to see the final of your project. To me it seems the hard part is putting up with moving everything around and dealing with the clutter while doing the project. I guess it makes you work it faster...haha.
That is definitely the hardest part. Plus side is, no procrastination 😂

Hi, this is Kim from Talona Ridge (your neighbor). FYI, we purchased the smaller Ryobi power sprayer and love it to wash the windshield of the motorhome. It really works great!

I wish manufacturers would make these new larger rigs with the master bedroom in the back with the patio. Pretty much the way you have set yours up, but come from the factory that way. Maybe the full bath in the back too, with the half bath up front with the kids. Love the channel ! Keep it up. Glad to see you got over 10K subs.

@@1StrangeAdventure we had a great time. We do the same thing ours usually run 4-6 weeks behind. The cabin was nice two bedrooms and two baths. One of the perks we like about our TT membership. Best of all we got a pet friendly one.

Thank you. Neither of us were ever a carpenter but we’ve had several home projects in the past and just learn as we go. We do not have the 8k axles at this time.

What type of doors do you have for the back patio part? I currently have a mesh screen doors on my toy hauler, but the plastic part has wholes and I am interested in redoing the whole garage including the doors. I would like to replace them with something more sturdy than plastic/ screen?
We have the Lippert 3 season patio doors. Ours came with them but you may be able to order them for your rig.
