Great vid love the solo, i waited 4 months for mine in the uk, loved the whole concept of the notaklon just had to be a part of it, its a brillant pedal
I bought the NOTAKLON, I had to wait about 3 weeks I suppose, and that was delivery to Australia. Totally worth it, and one of the best sounding pedals I have. Just remember - it's not a Klon - till you build it.
Hi Tommy ! Just saw your awesome show at Indian Ranch !!! My wife bought me a NOTAKLON for Christmas and I recently received it. loved your video and hope mine works ok, I haven't built it yet! it sounds great! Of course your playing helps! Rock on Dude!
Josh from JHS said he'd never build another Klon clone and sell it, so he made this that's "not a Klon until you build it." Gimmicky, sure, but it's a hell of a pedal for the money. I waited months for mine as well. Glad mine worked because I use it constantly.
I gotta mess with mine again. The directions stated to Goop and sit for 24hours after adding that mess. So I did. Last night was my first night plugging it in. But I think I've got way more noise than I should and it could have been I was on a different electrical circuit than my amp was. So going to try it tonight on the same circuit of AC as the amp to see if that changes it. Josh was stating you could use it as a gained up push on a distorted channel of an amp head. I cheated a little, just to test and ran it into a Boss Katana 100 MK2 Head on top of the Brown Sound channel. I want to try it again, because it was horrible with noise so bad it was killing the guitar. Plus I want to try it on my GM40D and my Mesa Triple Rec.
Midweek treat with TZ! Looks like it was worth the wait for this petal and you sound gnarly playing the tune. Love the Eagles also, seen them in 1994 for their Hell Freezes Over tour. Thx for sharing!
That sounds killer. I remember when jhs introduced this pedal and guess it sold out in no time (like everything jhs does). I have a Tumnus deluxe by Wampler, and it sounds awesome. It cost twice as much, though! I don't need another Klon, and I'm sketched about putting it together myself. But, it would probably double in price if jhs built it for us? It definitely wouldn't be $100! That's a lot of pedal for the price! I kinda want one now.
It’s really not a hard build. I made more out of it because the first one didn’t work but I’m pretty sure the ribbon connector is bad. All in all I’d say it’s worth it

All said and done it was a $99 pedal and I think it sounds pretty good for what it is

Try swapping the ribbon of the good one over to the defective one. Worth a try.
I might just out of sheer curiosity but either way I’d still have one pedal that doesn’t work.
Built mine yesterday and it just doesn't power up. Sucks because I'm in europe and have to pay customs on almost everything :(
