I wore the 990v6 for 2 days during the 4-day walking event in Nijmegen. 2 times 50km. Held up fine! Just ordered the 991v2 as my second pair of NB. Can't wait to try them on.
Nice comparison. I'm interested in purchasing the 991 v2, I'm just skeptical on sizing. Did you take into account the US to UK sizing conversion or did you purchase your pair based off your standard shoe size?
You will not regret getting the 991v2! For sizing, I wear a size 10 in all US shoes and for the 991v2 I also ordered a size 10. There is no conversion needed when buying the made in UK sneakers!
I do not have v1 but I will say that the 991v2 is slim in the forefoot. I went true to size in my pair and they fit great, they are just a little more snug than say a v6. I have been getting a lot of questions on the sizing for the 991v2 so I am going to make a video for a 991v2 size guide

@@samdopkosky, In my opinion, in addition to comfort, the NB 998 is the most tenacious of all New balance models. Plus, the quality of the materials is excellent! Although in Russia the most popular is the 574 model.
I buy all of mine true to size and love the way they fit. However, the 990v6 is a long shoe so people tend to go a half size down for an extra snug fit. For the 991v2 it has a narrow toe box so people like to go a half size up.
These are both lifestyle shoes borrowing some of the newer tech from NBs running shoes. If you think either of those are comfortable, you should at least try the 1080, which are in a different league altogether. You can also get a utility version that has lifestyle type styling but has all of the tech.

I have 2 pairs of 990v6s that are a size 10 and they just have a little extra toe room and I prefer it to fit a little more snug so I go a half size down in the 990v6. Hope this helps!
I would have to say the 993. The 993 is one of the most luxury comfortable sneakers you can buy. Plus they are extremely well made and will last you a very long time. I highly recommend!

I've heard the 990v6 is relatively tight on the foot arch behind the toes for the given size.
I haven't ever felt this issue in any of the 4 pairs of 990v6's that I have. The only thing about the v6 is that it is a little longer than most 990s

The outsole on the 990v6 holds up extremely well. I’ve been wearing mine for over a year and there are almost no signs of wear
