I have both 990v6 and the 1906r(same pair as you). 990v6 is way more comfortable but my feet get hotter faster in these shoes and I have 3 different pairs. Tried very thin socks but same story. 1906 is my favorite Gym Shoe
tried all 3 on in store. Only shoe that gave me a "Wow" factor was the 1906R and it was right after I took of the 990v6. I feel the 990v6 was heavier and less breathable. Tighter on the forefoot as well. I went to the NB outlet and tried the 990v6 then since I wasn't impressed I went to the NB store downtown and tried on these. 1906R won in comfort, weight, breathability, and styling. 990v6 just looks like grandpa shoes unless its the Action Bronson pair. I have several 990v6s: Grey Day, Grey and Kith x MSG x Knicks. I am considering a 1906, but I really like the comfort and fit of the 990v6.
I’ve been wearing NB for over 20 years , and the 990v6 is the most comfortable ever .
I have most of the made in USA 990 line for some reason I always go back to my 990v6’s 😅
