- This is my guy, Dan!!! We've been together for 8 years now (SOON TO BE MARRIED!!! YAY!) We met while I was wearing alternative hair. I brought him onto this video to get a guy's perspective on wigs, alternative hair, and his take on whether admitting you wear wigs at the beginning of a relationship is a good idea. I didn't start wearing wigs until a few years after my husband and I started dating and living together. In that time I got more and more sick with autoimmune and neurological problems and my hair loss sped up. I just bought some wigs one day and announcend I will be wearing them so get used to them. He just said "ok."
He literally did not care. I did ask him specifically one day what he really thought about it and he said that he sees how much more confident and better I feel when I wear them and that if I'm happy he's happy. He loves the long hair on me. He's very supportive. He loves me not my hair. He told me I could shave it off and he would still be turned on by my bald head...😂... he's one of the good guys. 😊 My son who is 18 also loves my wigs. He said they made me look younger and he comments on which one's he likes the best. So from another male perspective of my son he thinks they are fun to see me in. My son is a good, kind kid. Most kind, good men won't care. If you find one that acts stupid I agree you dodged a douche.
As a man myself, i can ASSURE U that men wouldnt care if u wore a wig. We are visual creatures, and as long as u look good we wouldn't care whether its real or fake!

Ive been with my husband 23 years and like you we were much
younger too..3 years ago I started wearing wigs and he and I have had a lot of laughs..My hair had gotten terribly thin and I just couldnt stand what I saw in the mirror..he has supported me and loved me without conditions for almost half my life and he loves how I change from long to short from brown to red to blond..he said he knew life with me would never be boring!! Congrats on the baby..your marriage and finding real love!
I mean yeah, your husband is a great guy but wow he is so LUCKY to have you, you are so pretty and any guy would be fortunate to have someone as beautiful as you on their arm!
I really appreciate this video. I’m a 45 yo divorced woman looking to get out in the dating world again but am scared regarding my hair loss. I currently am able to just wear extensions, but am headed down the path of wigs eventually. Dating is hard enough. 😢
Honestly i find as long as it looks good men don’t care if its a wig. They honestly can’t even tell what id a wig or not
I also love that you aren’t afraid to have that boundary of not wanting your hair touched - and your husband being ok with it. I HATE having my hair touched because of the fear my extensions will be felt and also Because it takes SO much work to get my hair in place. One wrong move or a slight breeze ruins my baby fine thin hair. Every guy I’ve been with keeps asking me not to put so much product in it so they run their fingers through it. Makes me feel terrible. :(

I had three pairs of eyelashes on and creamy black nail polish. My husband is a cross between a yuppie and a country boy. In 1975 he LOVED It.
He still loves it. His favotite wig was the one he called my Tina Turner , it was longiish and a little wild. I wore the heck out of that wig. That was in the 80's

I'm a wig-wearer of many, many years. What does my husband think? He has almost as much fun as I do. He doesn't dictate what I wear, but sometimes I'll ask him if there's a color he prefers (usually it's RED!) or a length he'd like to see. Sometimes has a preference, sometimes not. I own 34 wigs He' says my personality shifts according to which one I'm wearing that day.

Great video! You are both in a great space thanks for sharing. I have a boyfriend experienced hair loss after we started dating so transitioning to wig life was a little different for me. I being confident about it, and men knowing that it makes you happy is key. My tendency was to apologize for wanting wigs which was the wrong route. Also him being used to touch my hair and transitioning to intimate moments was a transition. Now we are all good!!

I used to have even worse hair loss than where my hair is at now and I’d say the same as I did in this video!! ❤️🥹💕 I truly believe that the person you’re dating should be someone who accepts you for you, and that’s for any stage of hair loss, even TOTAL hair loss 💁🏼♀️ I know my Dan would agree too. He’s been around for my whole Graves’ disease. Even my mental ups and downs because of the disease. It goes beyond just hair. It comes down to who you are as a person and you, Clara are fantastic! My problem is taking the wig off.. since I have 47% of my hair..
My hair is very thin underneath too, and used to have patches at the back. This happened while I was with him, and he has never changed the way he looks at me :) When you find a good one, the right one for you, it doesn't matter your hair quality =) XO

I told the guy that I wear wigs in a funny way, and he called off the date and never spoke to me again. It really got me. To the point that I have enough and don't even want to date anyone...

I told my husband on our first date. I was like you know if he likes me it will not matter, and if it does, I do not want to date him. We have been married 27 years. Wigs are my life. I have worn a wig since I was 4 years old. My husband also has never seen me without a wig on. Ha ha. I know that sounds crazy.

But how do you deal with it if it's not for fun. I haven't been losing hair for years so it is just super thin and ugly. I'm wearing toppers and wigs because i have to but i feel very insecure.
The same way- I also wear wigs because I have to, because I have graves disease and my hair is super thin. This is still how I explain it the first time to someone, and then you can go into "I have hair loss, and until I found wigs, it was super difficult for me to feel like myself, and NOW I have so much fun with this and they bring me so much confidence"

Give her a break. It’s her first. When I was six weeks pregnant with my first I was afraid to walk because I was afraid I would shake the baby loose. I was very young but that’s beside the point. Don’t judge unless you know. And even then mind your business!!!!
I d like to know just for genetics. One do you tell someone your teeth are false or blind without contacts etc none or deal breakers except for dishonesty.

Also, there’s nothing wrong with bald! My dad is bald because he had cancer ❤️ and my husband is very supportive of me and my hair. Even if he lost his hair, I would also be supportive of him. 😊
