A double decrease takes three stitches and turns them into one stitch - decreasing the stitch count in that particular row. One method for working a double decrease is the SK2P.
    1. 'S' - slip one stitch from the left needle to the right needle, slipping it knitwise.
    2. 'K2' - knit two stitches together as one stitch
    3. 'P' - pass the slipped stitch over the two stitches that were knit together by inserting the left needle into the front leg of the stitch and pulling it up and over the first stitch on the right needle.

    It's similar to a CDD

Yes! The only difference is that slipping the stitch gives this one a left-leaning slant.
