"Pardon me, ma'am, is this the way to the Gay Civil Rights meeting? I'm supposed to meet my husband there." "Ugh. I have a boyfriend, loser. Leave me alone."
I usually play ace or lesbian characters though I am currently playing a straight character. She's an Owlbear grandmother though so there's a lot we don't have in common
As a bisexual, my characters are very rarely straight. Though, that gives me an idea for a totallynotgay guy who has a girlfriend that gets basically ignores, because he’d rather hang out with his childhood best friend.
Ah yes, the "only orientations that could be attracted to me are real" argument! You hear plenty of stories of straight men who don't believe in lesbians but I've surprisingly never heard of the reverse until now!
Conversely, it's also "only sexual orientations I find sexy are real", which is how homophobic men are perfectly fine with lesbians. But yeah, Rahjah was just salty as all hell about her previous "boyfriend" dumping her, and say OP's sexuality as a way to "correct" that previous "failure". She thought if she tried hard enough, OP would just give up and allow his character to be het, and she could worm her way into being his girlfriend. Needless to say, that would never have worked. Good riddance.
@@shadiafifi54 God that is so invasive and gross. I'm glad he didn't faulted and gave in. And very glad she got called out on that awful behavior. Good on the Dm and their gaming organizer.
@@shadiafifi54 It might be she actually liked to "flirt" with gay couples, because then she could get with two guys at ones (in her world view), in reverse to what some stupid guys think about lesbians. Sounds logical to me, because all guys were into her, in her world view. But I didn't ask her about that. That's very likely what she thought, according to her sister. But that game was lost before it even started. Giving in, even a little bit, to a crazy person can only resault in more problems. So good thing the Organizer made her leave
Oh, I have. Although probably because I watch a ton of content responding to this stuff. Being dumb and entitled is an all gender thing, but usually non-men aren't really reinforced by society so they tend to not end up in this state of mind.
To me the most absurd aspect of the femcel story is that she thought she could rewrite the OP's character sheet to make him straight and that he wouldn't be able to change it because that's against the rules. Like on top of her bizarre worldview where do you get the idea that that's how D&D works?
“You can’t change your character after the first session!” “I agree. That’s why I’m reverting back to how I played the first session. You were the one who tried to change them mid story.”
It funny, because I nearly forgot that whole part and just remembered it while writing the story down. But somehow that the part that makes the least sense and no, I have not even the slightest idea why she though that might work. Or how she did thatin the first place
As a polyamorous person myself, it really get's under my skin when people use polyamory as a cover for being an untrustworthy person with a cuck fetish / partner stealing fetish. Disrupting monogamy is NOT polyamory, that's just being a scumbag. Plus it then reinforces misinformation about polyamory, to the point where if someone learns that I am in a polyamorous relationship their first question is almost always "do they know about each other?". Yes. Yes they do, this isn't multiple monogamous relationships, it is a mutual thing :/
Pretty much. I personally feel there is nothing wrong with polyamory (I'm not into it but I respect those who do), but damn it, if you're gonna do that, *be honest about it with your partner and make sure they're okay with it* . Should really not be that hard.
I know it's a different thing, but it similarly irritates me when someone like Taylor Swift comes out as bi, and people are like "what orientation is her boyfriend??" as if it matters. My wife also got similar questions after I finally came out as trans (MtF), which was a kind of funny given that she was already out of the bi closet.
It really gets under my skin as well, because I'm poly (at least, I think I am) but a lot of cheaters will use it as an excuse to justify their cheating.
Now I kinda want to run the opposite of the Bachelor DM, the players being the poor abducted brides of a dragon that abducted them, unionizing and becoming an adventuring party to kill the dragon.
tbh I feel a little better knowing someone out there is just as clueless as me. If a dog put his head on your knee: he wants you to scritch his head. If a cat pees on the curtain: she wants you to remove the offending curtain. If you're the only one in the room the horny bugger would potentially be interested in, do a constitution check and if you fail, politely leave.
Perception of sexuality is weird. Like, I'm straight, but I've been mistaken for gay more than once. Even my wife thought I was gay when we first met. I can only think that the whole "gay men/lesbians don't exist" idea comes from desperate people projecting their sexuality onto others and then not being able to cope with finding out otherwise.
I find it funny that the religious right believes that sexuality is chosen and can be "cured." For 40 years we were told this view is wrong and its not a choice. Then the alphabet mafia comes along and says "No actually the religious right are correct: you do chose your sexuality, and we can "cure" your straightness"
Rahja (the goddess): "Overruled!" *Un-clerics Rahja-the-femcel and re-gays the Praiote* Canonically, she would *not* take kindly to one of her priestesses trying to interfere in someone else's consensual love life. At all.
Okay so non-dnd related story but related to that "femcel". Way back in my teen years when I was still deep in the "discovering my gender/sexual identity" stage, I thought I was potentially a gay man (non-binary aro ace now). So I used this social site called Gaia online to try and test out this identity as it was one of those that allowed avatar creation like Club Penguin. The amount of times I would tell girls I'm gay only to have them aggressively flirt with me was ridiculous. Some thought I was just lying, some thought I just wanted attention, some thought gay meant bisexual and I could still be with them but by far the nuttiest that still sticks with me now at *31* years old was the girl that spent 40 minutes trying to convince me that men only "turn" gay when women aren't interested in them, that I "don't have to be gay' anymore because she was attracted to my character, tried to erp with me and said men can't be raped and she could fix me. Obviously I blocked her.
@@Inhaledcorn Lol, I went back recently just for laughs and the site is so broken, the webcomics haven't updated in 12 years, micro transactions and gold sellers are way worse, it went from trash to a whole landfill.
Oh boy, Gaia. lol It used to be a fun chat site, but it devolved into a kind of depressing place after a few years. Seems like no one talks anymore, it's all single emoji posts and trying to bait ERP. And that was in the hangout threads. I made some good friends there I still talk to, but almost exclusively on Discord now.
Yeah, it's so sad that some people will just claim "Oh, I'm poly!" to justify their cheating. Partially because it's cheating, which is fucked. But also, because it's giving every other poly person in existence a bad rep, which is irritating when I have to explain that "No, polyamory isn't cheating."
THIS. I'm fully monogamous, as is my fiance. But I've given him full consent that if he ever says he's bored in bed, we can gladly hire a SW and have a lovely night in a hotel. I feel no threat or insecurity, just logical thinking because my body doesn't "function" as it should. But of course my fiance will just be "cheating with extra steps." If it is consented to, it literally cannot be cheating. And consent is of your own choosing, not coerced (I wasn't, he hates that I brought the idea up lol) or forced! So if you're hiding it, or manipulating your partner into it, you're a piece of shit and not poly or mono at all! Piece of shit should really be its own relationship term, I feel like lol
Yeah. I've been in a relationship where my partner pressured me into agreeing to poly after she'd already been hiding cheating from me. And I'm currently in a relationship with someone who's has 3 other partners, was open about that upfront, and has been very transparent the whole time. The difference is night and day.
The big story feels like the opposite of that one from a while back where the DM booted a gay cis guy from the group because they thought he was pretending to get with the group's girls. Like, same insane logic, opposite reasonings.
Reminded me of a DM who tried claiming a gay player making gay or female characters was bad roleplaying. I liked that player's motive of "I've been roleplaying a straight guy for years so I don't want to do that anymore."
"Domiciliary rights" was actually the correct use of the term, yes. It's a legal term in certain juristictions that basically means that the owners of a property (or their representatives) have the right to set conditions on the use of that property and kick people out for non-compliance.
*gasp*. She’s on to us! I’ve been doing this gay act for about 45 years now. I figured in another 5 years or so the chicks would come rolling in. Unfortunately I’ve been practicing the wrong skill set but I’m sure it will be fine.
NGL a bacholomaster where the show's purpose is a buncha dorky nerds playing dnd for a year and at the end the DM has to pick a player to try and go out with, but the Player can just be like "no you didnt give me that +3 last week" sounds funny as fuck idk why
See I think the context the sister provides makes the whole thing make perfect sense. Especially the whole, being cheated on by a guy who then comes out as gay, explains her entire argument. She’s clearly delusional, but I can trace the steps of where it came from
Right?! Like she is still super irrational, but now it kinda makes more sense in a like 'okay I can see how a typical shitty person gets to that'. Simplifies Rahja to being sadistic/entitled and having a bruised ego due to her last encounter. Still a shit person, but now I get her mind space... sort of... barely... how is she just not banned from everywhere?
@@joshuad3507 I'm guessing it's because everyone else she stole consented. Shows the origin of her homophobia and the depths of her horniness beyond that, using polyamory to steal and dump boyfriends while hypocritically reacting to someone doing the same to her.
It makes sense when you realise in her head everything is about her. So even that relationship which existed before they ever met her and continued well after meeting her was still all about her.
Thank you so much, for narrating my story Crispy (Yep, I wrote this😃 So thanks for the compliment on the writing). Your commentary was so god damm on point that I had to laugh mutiple times about my own story. That's a job well done. Also, no Rahjas Sister did not try to hit on my boyfriend, but I thought that too And to answer your question: I really liked the way you protrait my changed "definitely not-gay" character, but I think the "I like girls" text was quite close. She added something like "searching for the right woman"
Sorry it happened to you, friend. Hopefully you'll never hear from her again. And I think she was trying to get through to you so she can "avenge" the failure of her prior boyfriend who came out as gay. I mean, she's the one who dumps people, not the other way around, dammit!!🤣
I am quite sure since I never heard from her again. (I would be creeped out if she would appear) That's my assumption after talking a lot about this story. She tried to show herself that nobody not even a gay men could resist her charm. To repair her ego after the last failure. Well turns out... likely every gay men can. That's her opinion accourding to her sister.
Why is it people are always looking for the _right_ man/woman? Why doesn't anybody want a _left_ one? 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅 **Runs offstage to avoid tomatoes**
That was surely the best part (through the other comments are close). I didn't really expect that this would shock so much. So that reaction took even me by surprise and I wrote this...😆
She actually changed his character sheet? I think the last time I heard of someone doing that was back in high school when one of my group gave a fellow player a Curse that he Weighed 1 Ton, had a Str score of -17 and farted with every step he took. We thought it was pretty juvenile back then and we were around 14 at the time, that a grown adult would pull that shit is hilarious and pathetic
So for anyone curious, there is a non-zero chance the DM in the intro story was planning to play a game using the MAID ttrpg system, a real system where the players are all maids a la anime tropes trying to curry favor with their 'master.' Very cringy from an outsider perspective but can be fun when the right group buys in. Curious if this was a bait and switch or just a genuine miscommunication where DM just asked to play a ttrpg and OP presumed they meant DND.
That Bachelomaster bit absolutely killed me, that’s hilarious, especially the “pretending to be allo” and “Asexual AF” and the name cards just being numbered crispy’s
About that intro story, there are so many indie TTRPGs that center around relationships, competing with romantic rivals, ect. You don't need to butcher DnD to do it. But like you said, given the DM's reaction, this sounds like it may have been an excuse to flirt with OP.
Exactly. You can say (mostly) what you like and not get thrown in jail. That does not stop you from being thrown out of a private event where they have their own rules.
Dang, Rahja's genius idea of changing someone's character sheet, expecting them not to notice and just play along didnt work and honestly I'm shocked...
Ah yes, the most mature and well-adjusted thing to do if there's something I dislike about another player's character: try to rewrite the character and assume that the player will just follow along.
.... That femcel story is a whole new level of stupid. I don't even know what shocks me the most: the fact she somehow thought he wouldn't notice she had modified his sheet while he had his back turned, the fact she still thought he wanted her even after he told her to her face he wasn't interested, on the fact she thought gay people aren't real and it's just... an extra step to get girls? WHAT?! MAN I am not even gay and this woman still angers me. And the fact she thinks it applies only to gay men pisses me off even more. WHy is it so hard to believe that not all men are focused on getting laid or finding a woman?!
It's not suprising that there's a femcel version of this. I've seen incels use this sort of argument against lesbians so there being a reverse makes horrible sense.
Rahja reminds me of the freaking guys who like to make weird insinuating comments and leer whenever a girl dates another girl, whether she's bi or not (but ESPECIALLY if she's bi). It's always just an "act" to these people. Hey, some women like that attention and they're valid, too, as it's all consensual fun, but oh my god... The whole "gay women don't exist"/"bi-women are just straight with extra steps" HAS to stop. Edit for clarity: when I said that some women like that attention, I meant the bi women or straight women who are promiscuous, consenting, and trying to attract men. Some men in that case are already aware that lesbian and bi women are a thing and aren't dismissing it. But man, it gets so freaking frustrating how many people just see lesbians or bi women as non-existent, and I'm sure even in the scenario above, the women wouldn't be down if that's how they feel
Actually, that's Prof. Evan Gottlieb, from a video that talks about Foreshadowing in writing. It's from Oregon State University, apparently, but what most people know it from is Internet Historian. If James Somerton has used it as well, that's news to me.
Some of the Mundane playbook moves in Monster of the Week lend toward a "damsel" sort of playstyle. "Always the Victim" gives you experience when you are captured by the Monster/Villain/Phenomenon, and causes other players that rescue you to gain experience as well. "Don't worry, I'll check it out" gives you experience if you go off on your own into a dangerous situation. "What could go wrong?" gives you bonuses for charging into dangerous situations without preparing. "Oops" which causes you to find something important and interesting, though possibly not useful to the immediate story. Of course the playbook also has "Trust me!" which makes it easier to convince bystanders not to go into dangerous situations. "The Power of Heart" which makes it really easy for you to help other players. "Panic Button" which helps you escape dangerous situations. And "Let's Get out of Here" which is good for leading bystanders out of a dangerous situation. But yeah, being Danger-Prone Daphne and setting up drama for other hunters to save you is a recognized playstyle. And it works pretty well. Of course... it's a playstyle you CHOOSE. Not one thrust on you.
As someone who loves Dating Sims and have played countless number of them in my youth, the first story is actually pretty great idea…. As long as people know what they’ve signed up for. And so long as the game had a better overarching storyline beyond “seduce the DM”
Playing as yourself works, don't restrict people to being their exact selves. And don't put someone in a room with nothing to do in any TTRPG thing unless they're trapped in a rock and that player plays as another character in the meantime.
That homophobe woman would probably be stopped in the tracks if he just have said 'I'm not into you. you are not my type. - Or the perfect Astarion line: it's not you, it's me. I have standards. XD
Rahja needs some self reflection and therapy or she is going to keep going through life making her issues everyone else's problems. No one wants to hang with that girl.
For the intro story, this feels like a concept that would have worked better for Maid RPG. A dedicated system seems like a better way of handling oddball concepts than attempting to jurryrig a system that was never designed to be played that way.
First up: Raja sounds like she has more issues than Time Magazine. Secondly, in relation to the bit about playing as yourself, it's not always bad: some 20 years ago, me & several of my friends in the Navy were stationed at Dam Neck Naval Training Center, and we got invited to play a Robotech RPG game by a retired sailor who lived nearby, and we played as ourselves, but with the premise that it was a sorta Temporal Operative mission, where we were supposed to have died in RL, but these inter-dimensional police rescued us so we could help out in the multiverse instead, with us being assigned to the Robotech/Macross universe. We actually had a lot of fun, even had some random bad-roll hilarity: Like my one friend decided to go as a Battlemech pilot for a Spartan(?) mech that had two huge missile pods on either shoulder, and for some reason, everytime he tried to launch a salvo from the left shoulder pod, he either failed his attack roll or fumbled (nat 1), so he built a custom Robotech mini for that mech, and named it Mojo, with the phrase "Mojo know voodoo" on the mech's chest, with the right missile pod painted white with "Good Juju" written on it and the left pod painted black with "Bad Juju" written on it. As for myself, I decided to be a Valkyrie pilot (transforming fighter jet/mech), and ended up with the callsign "Misfire" because, while I was a crack shot with the jet/mech's laser cannons, every time I tried to fire a missile, I would either miss or roll a nat 1, lol!
My friends and I actually did a Bachelor adventure 😅 it was using Fate. The third son of a King was in need of a spouse and we competed for their hand. It ended in a happy thruple. But! We were all enthusiastic and goofy with it, it was a lot of fun.
Fun fact about this first story: there's a system for this. It's called Maid the RPG and it's hilarious. The game is 100% comedy and the GM takes a much more proactive role as he not only narrates the NPCs but also a character of their own, the Master. All the other players play as Maids and the whole objective is to compete to see which one of them will accumulate more of the Master's favor, so at the end of the game (it's usually better for oneshots) the Maid with the most favor wins. So it's more like a very interpretative board game, it follows a very competitive style but it has the RPG spirit with a lot more freedom than a regular board game and all the roleplaying. Honestly, I've watched a couple videos of people playing it and it's absurdly funny, I distinctly remember all the people playing were all dressed as maids and were constantly pulling out bottles of beer in the middle of the game, visibly indicating that this is a very good game to play while drunk. 🤣
20:42 So, hey, Crispy. Long time watcher. This is the first time I've ever heard someone say this about gay men. I need to find if this is a thing that developed in Incel/Femcel groups or if I'm just oblivious. I've heard people say this about lesbians before but never about gay men and I am fascinated by it.
Sadly it is. Women tend to be silenced in their opinions socially, which is a tragedy in most cases. A blessing in a few... While overall statistically in anonymous polls women tend to be slightly more on the equality train, in absolutes it's honestly pretty much on par. Bigotry has no gender.
Just hearing Crispy read the last story made me stop a few times just so I could process what was going on when the main conflict took place. Is this girl just someone that gets her kicks out of just ruining relationships?
That prestory sounds like maid rpg, where the dm is the master and everyone plays maid having wacky anime adventures while trying to imprss the master.
Domiciliary - Concerning someone's home or property. Basically saying, they has the right to declare someone needs to leave their property or be considered a trespasser.
I know it was supposed to be a horror story, but that was entertaining. Crispy's editing with one of my favorite songs in college made me smile. Thanks Crispy.
The sudden James Somerton voice jump scared me. I had to go back to make sure I wasn’t crazy and then noticed the Crispy Crow Skull over it and had a nice lil chuckle.
Actually, that's Prof. Evan Gottlieb, from a video that talks about Foreshadowing in writing. It's from Oregon State University, apparently, but what most people know it from is Internet Historian. If James Somerton has used it as well, that's news to me.
And it's absolutely hilarious how so many people don't even realize that "Freedom of Speech" *ONLY* protects you against government retribution for speaking out against it. That's literally *ALL* it covers.
Crispy, I loved your videos, but I gotta say that what you're promoting is dangerous. I mean, come on! Everytime We Touch is the most infectious earworm! Now I gotta listen to the song again on repeat. Edit: I just got to the part where Rajhas sister revealed everything and HOLY SHIT!
Haha, I feel called out again. 😅 I'd actually love to be the damsel in distress in TTRPGs, and actually got to enjoy that experience in a homebrewed superhero game with the Destiny card system! However, it would way suck to get stuck in that role *without* wanting it!!! As for the femcel, she just sounds like a modern American conservative. 😬 I'm sure she's "fine" with all of the other non-hetero orientation/identities until she finds the need to attack someone within that group.
Ah damn, a DSA (Das Schwarze Auge / The Dark Eye) story and Cascada (Electronic Dance Music from Germany), what a match. I'm actually building a Rahja-Priest for a new player at the moment, but focused on the getting trashed and party hard aspects instead of the love making ones.😂
When a person believes they are so attractive that gay men CANNOT exist, you know that there is some underlying narcissism there that is impossible to uproot.
God the Gjallahorn took me back. I also never got it and I remember people kicking anybody that didn't have it from raids. Like real helpful guys, guess I'll just never play the raid I need to get it
I only found your channel a couple of weeks ago and I've been working my way through the horror stories. And I'm questioning the kind of person I am as they are actually inspring me to play D&D again... after a gap of 35 years. Pray for me....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... ...And I can't believe you just read my story. Thanks! "The Sexy Lamp"!
Story 3: I can't comment on polyamory or homosexuality, since I am neither, and all other legit criticism has probably already been said, but I just wanted to add that it was so obvious that OP is German. From playing The Dark Eye, over writing "Pen & Paper" (which I have only heard in Germanophone regions when referring to TRPGs), to saying "make use of their domiciliary rights" (ger. "von ihrem Hausrecht Gebrauch machen"), which is a inherently German turn of phrase. Despite this being a horror story, it makes me smile that our shared hobby transcends so many barriers.
It seems I'm really unable, to hide the fact that I'm german. There were multiple people saying the same on reddit.😆 I like to think that ttrpg or pen&paper (what ever you call it), is something that exist in most palces to some degree. Shared fun is always a good thing
Intro story might not be D&D, but it does remind me that I really should get around to reading My Life With Master (Which isn't about that - It's gothic horror where the PC's are playing the minions to the villain. Igor and equivalents, if you will) I just always wind up mixing that game up with another one that I think _is_ an attempt to turn harem anime into a TTRPG experience and can't recall the name of)
Domiciliary rights was correct it allows the property owner to do things like Forcibly remove people from the property or ban them so if they return it would be trespassing the theater I work at does this all the time with unruly and belligerent guests.
I agree on your view of romance in dnd. Honestly? I haven’t much played romance in dnd. Even then, I’m not comfortable doing so with other players, even with my girlfriend’s permission (we had a thorough discussion on this when I started the hobby and even since then to stay in the same page). I have gotten a bit more comfortable lately with adding romance to my dnd games but it’s still more as a side thing than front and center. For example, I have a character who will flirt and maybe have a one night stand (fade to black) but will not be in a committed relationship or entertain it. Heck, they hardly do the flirting or otherwise much. And this is because the character I made is still grieving the loss of their fiancé who died in a rampaging creature attack that they still feel survivors guilt over and unmoored since their life plan has now crumbled down around them (spending their life with their fiancé). The character isn’t meant to have romance in my playing of said character and I made this quite clear. Seduction? Especially as a distraction? Maybe. Playing that by ear, but actual romance? Not at all. For the most part I play asexual characters and even some tables are just outright “no romance” tables which I’m ok with. I haven’t really much gotten the experience of adding romance to my dnd games. I’m only even playing this character who does have a romantic history because I trust the dm and players a great deal and we have thorough discussions with each other before and after games and even, if needed, take a break and discuss it in the middle of the game. It’s a safe space for it. And this has been the only way I think I would ever be comfortable playing out a romance if it wasn’t my girlfriend at the table (my girlfriend has no interest in dnd so that won’t happen, she still sweetly supports my hobby though). Anyway, this is just my opinion and experience. To each their own. I know plenty of people who have and do add romance to their tables. And I’m glad for them and hope they have fun. I’m just not much into it or comfortable with it, not directed at me at least. Like I said, only recently playing with it as a plot device and not in a way where my character actually has it happening in front of them, more a “this is why they are like this” type of thing, or “this is why they know that person” type of set up. But to each their own right? Even takes their tea differently and that’s valid.
4:15 "based on the Goblin Slayer anime" *War flashbacks* But seriously, even myself, as someone who kinda enjoyed s1 of the show (EXCEPT Ep 1 which is NOT AT ALL OKAY), a player or DM suggesting this *particular* anime as the basis for an RPG is a red flag. Were it me, I would absolutely insist on a discussion of what is and isn't allowed in-game, especially concerning consent and intimate stuff. Also, would 100% be worried the person who suggested this anime will try to pull some SUPER CREEPY stunt.
Juicy story, and holy hell that chick was a piece of work. About trying to find a group: To any who suffer from this issue, this is just kindof how it goes for a great many people who enter adulthood. They often have to split up because life not only happens but takes priority. GMs are also vulnerable to boredom and really just feel uninspired and quit often. My only advice in dealing with the latter: DO NOT LET THEM TELL YOU THEIR CAMPAIGN PLANS. There's a strong chance they'll get it out of their system and give up on the campaign. It's a common experience to have to try several tables before finding a stable group.
As someone who also played a ton of Destiny One, everyone has a certain exotic they are just cursed to never get. I managed to pull a Pocket Infinity from a legacy engram, but never got my hands on an Ice Breaker.
I've only just come across the Tavern and I am so glad I have ^...^ The stories are hilarious and I love the skits. Thank you so much Crispy!!! Maybe one day I'll know how you got your name lol
As a polyamorous gay man and an advocate for guys, this is the kind of thing I wish people wouldn’t turn a blind eye to as much. There’s so much talk about incels and guys being desperate or manipulative, but femcels and manipulative women aren’t called out nearly as much. The gal in this scenario doesn’t have a chance with any guy, but she seems just so baffled by guys not being desperate for her. And if a woman has to put in the initial steps for a guy in a straight relationship, that can just be normal. Guys have been doing it for centuries, women can and should make the first move if they’re interested. But complaining about it is sending both genders back to the dark ages. And being poly but only interested in guys, but refusing to accept that guys are only interested in other guys is just a whole new level of self-centered and not understanding what polyamory is. Also, guy is lucky to have a boyfriend like that to make him feel safe. Stay safe out there, guys.
This was sure a hell of a ride. The delusional levels were amazing. And yes, big events sure do attract freaks and the socially maladjusted. Normally I'd like some free massage oil, too. "Hey fellas, is it straight to like guys?"
The saddest thing is that I can see some network going "Bachelormaster, eh? Sounds profitable!" and greenlight it. *Edit:* Also, that edit with Crispy-crow over James Somerton has aged like sour milk this past week. ;-)

This reminds me of a player in my group a few years back who said that lesbians were a hollywood conspiracy, and two female PCs flirting (romance RP has always been entirely normal at our table) were just there to piss her off.

The woman in the last story in the twist is literally the meme “I quickly became homophobic”
What do you mean she wasnt homophobic gay men dont exist /s
“Hating on gay people became part of my lifestyle” 😡 G💀Y⚡️
"I've surprisingly never heard of the reverse until now"
Oh, my sweet summer child...
To me the most absurd aspect of the femcel story is that she thought she could rewrite the OP's character sheet to make him straight and that he wouldn't be able to change it because that's against the rules. Like on top of her bizarre worldview where do you get the idea that that's how D&D works?
“You can’t change your character after the first session!”
“I agree.
Weren't they playing The Dark Eye not D&D? Not that it matters, because it still doesn't work like that 😅
As a polyamorous person myself, it really get's under my skin when people use polyamory as a cover for being an untrustworthy person with a cuck fetish / partner stealing fetish.
It's really infuriating how many cheaters don't understand that even poly people can be cheaters.
Pretty much. I personally feel there is nothing wrong with polyamory (I'm not into it but I respect those who do), but damn it, if you're gonna do that, *be honest about it with your partner and make sure they're okay with it* . Should really not be that hard.
@@Theokal3 Honestly, it comes down to consent. Nobody can consent to something when their partner is lying about important details.
That actually sounds really fun
I would play that.
That sounds like a blast!
OkayI would die to play in something like this
Great plot hook.
I love the first story and howe clueless OP is. "I'm the only other guy in the group" "It's not like he's creeping on the girl's cuz he gay, right?"
tbh I feel a little better knowing someone out there is just as clueless as me.
If a dog put his head on your knee: he wants you to scritch his head.
If a cat pees on the curtain: she wants you to remove the offending curtain.
If you're the only one in the room the horny bugger would potentially be interested in, do a constitution check and if you fail, politely leave.
Gonna be honest, if I was in his situation, I would be oblivious too
Perception of sexuality is weird.
There are religious people who think that
I find it funny that the religious right believes that sexuality is chosen and can be "cured."
For 40 years we were told this view is wrong and its not a choice.
Then the alphabet mafia comes along and says "No actually the religious right are correct: you do chose your sexuality, and we can "cure" your straightness"
I do remember seeing someone who believed that while gay men existed, that lesbian women didn't.
It was certainly a weird thing to read
Or they're butthurt about someone they want not being interested.
OP: "I'm gay."
Rahja: 😡 "Fine!" _Un-gays your Cleric_
*forces the balance card down his characters throat*
As a bi person, this make me cackle due to the absurdity of it
Rahja (the goddess): "Overruled!" *Un-clerics Rahja-the-femcel and re-gays the Praiote*
Canonically, she would *not* take kindly to one of her priestesses trying to interfere in someone else's consensual love life.
Oh God, someone else who crawled out of the dregs of GaiaOnline.
If men can’t be raped, she needs to think really hard about predatory women who inappropriately touch men young enough to be their sons
@@Inhaledcorn Lol, I went back recently just for laughs and the site is so broken, the webcomics haven't updated in 12 years, micro transactions and gold sellers are way worse, it went from trash to a whole landfill.
🤦♂️
Oh boy, Gaia. lol It used to be a fun chat site, but it devolved into a kind of depressing place after a few years. Seems like no one talks anymore, it's all single emoji posts and trying to bait ERP. And that was in the hangout threads. I made some good friends there I still talk to, but almost exclusively on Discord now.
Take it from a poly person with four partners. if you have to hide it, it’s not polyamory.
@@santagonewrong If someone brings up open relationships or poly when the relationship is ongoing, they're already cheating or planning to.
Polyamory is just cheating retitled
The big story feels like the opposite of that one from a while back where the DM booted a gay cis guy from the group because they thought he was pretending to get with the group's girls. Like, same insane logic, opposite reasonings.
I remember that, I feel so bad for him.
Reminded me of a DM who tried claiming a gay player making gay or female characters was bad roleplaying. I liked that player's motive of "I've been roleplaying a straight guy for years so I don't want to do that anymore."
@@ArcCaravan I mean yeah, if we've spent any amount of time in the closet then we've done straight guy larping no question.
"Domiciliary rights" was actually the correct use of the term, yes. It's a legal term in certain juristictions that basically means that the owners of a property (or their representatives) have the right to set conditions on the use of that property and kick people out for non-compliance.
Literally "House Rules"
Wow. When it got to the revelations provided by Rahja's Sister, the situation suddenly made both more sense and less at the same time.
See I think the context the sister provides makes the whole thing make perfect sense. Especially the whole, being cheated on by a guy who then comes out as gay, explains her entire argument.
She’s clearly delusional, but I can trace the steps of where it came from
I saw it as explaining why Rahja's so hung up on seducing OP and how horrible she is being a psuedo-polyamorous philanderer.
That femcel story is beautiful horrific.
Sounds like the classic bigotry + extreme egotism + horny possessiveness combo
Thank you so much, for narrating my story Crispy (Yep, I wrote this😃 So thanks for the compliment on the writing). Your commentary was so god damm on point that I had to laugh mutiple times about my own story. That's a job well done.
Also, no Rahjas Sister did not try to hit on my boyfriend, but I thought that too
And to answer your question: I really liked the way you protrait my changed "definitely not-gay" character, but I think the "I like girls" text was quite close.
(I would be creeped out if she would appear)
That's my assumption after talking a lot about this story.

**Runs offstage to avoid tomatoes**
Crispy’s raw excitement and shock over the drama at the end of the story gives me life.
Same.
I love the "pretending to be allo" and "asexual af" tags on that first skit. 🤣
Ha! Totally called it that she turned the last man she had gay.
Regardless of how impossible that is, it is still hilarious when such events appear to happen.
I say this often to people like the femcel freedom of speech is not freedom of consequences.
Exactly. You can say (mostly) what you like and not get thrown in jail. That does not stop you from being thrown out of a private event where they have their own rules.
Dang, Rahja's genius idea of changing someone's character sheet, expecting them not to notice and just play along didnt work and honestly I'm shocked...
"2 metres of highly concentrated queer activism" - that's got my award for the most awesome description of *_anyone_* that I've heard in a while.
Ah yes, the most mature and well-adjusted thing to do if there's something I dislike about another player's character: try to rewrite the character and assume that the player will just follow along.
Crispy's skits have been increasingly unhinged and I'm all for this character arc.
As an Asexual: I love your lipstick. It looks like a plum color or darker. Looks really good on you.
There's actually a system specifically for the kind of game in the intro. It's called Maid RPG.
The Bachelormaster is literally Maid RPG.
"Sometimes foreshadowing is relatively obvious."
Is that James Somerton behind Crispy face? That's daring. Lol
Yes hence the Crispy face
Actually, that's Prof. Evan Gottlieb, from a video that talks about Foreshadowing in writing. It's from Oregon State University, apparently, but what most people know it from is Internet Historian. If James Somerton has used it as well, that's news to me.
Dude! I wasn't ready for that bachelor skit 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 😂
XD
I always liked "Its not you. Its really... really... not you."
0:45 All I could think at this moment was Spy, from TF2, yelling... "SEDUCE ME!"
I love how you could hear Crispy standing up near the end of that last story.
16:00 Did she really just tried using "Heavens Door" to un-gay his character??????
Nope, she didn't use an epic drawing first. If she did, it might have worked, but not likely.
It is unfortunately.
Would be my assumption according to what her sister said. That's... somehow really sad
Is no one gonna mention the horror of playing in a "Goblin Slayer" type game? He hasn't watched it yet, and going in blind has gotta be horrific.
Absolutely peak skits and reactions AND advice! The Bachelomaster was my favorite, A+, hope we never have to see it again. 😅
That prestory sounds like maid rpg, where the dm is the master and everyone plays maid having wacky anime adventures while trying to imprss the master.
Domiciliary - Concerning someone's home or property. Basically saying, they has the right to declare someone needs to leave their property or be considered a trespasser.
Crispy is doing a great job with these skits definitely lovin' it 😁
I almost feel sorry for Rahja. I really hope she gets the help she needs.
Femcel: Muh Freedom of Speech!
Me: Freedom of Speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences.
And it's absolutely hilarious how so many people don't even realize that "Freedom of Speech" *ONLY* protects you against government retribution for speaking out against it. That's literally *ALL* it covers.
When I act gay to attract women, it's because I'm a lesbian
"*reaction skit*" is right, i'm also flabbergasted by that reveal
Harem dnd is the most cursed thing I’ve heard all week
Ah damn, a DSA (Das Schwarze Auge / The Dark Eye) story and Cascada (Electronic Dance Music from Germany), what a match. I'm actually building a Rahja-Priest for a new player at the moment, but focused on the getting trashed and party hard aspects instead of the love making ones.😂
"Until you barf, there's room for more Tharf!" 😆
The tea on that last one was SCALDING!!!
That last story was particularly wild. Like, wow!
When a person believes they are so attractive that gay men CANNOT exist, you know that there is some underlying narcissism there that is impossible to uproot.
So... the first one shot idea is an actual ttrpg called Maid RPG.
And of course the "Ow, my Spleen!" has to make an appearance
God the Gjallahorn took me back. I also never got it and I remember people kicking anybody that didn't have it from raids. Like real helpful guys, guess I'll just never play the raid I need to get it
Being a german Dark Eye player I was very amused how you spoke Praios (not Rahja, because seriously no one knows how she's supposed to sound.)
There were multiple people saying the same on reddit.😆
I like to think that ttrpg or pen&paper (what ever you call it), is something that exist in most palces to some degree. Shared fun is always a good thing
@@qymean.naemyq3914 That it is, friend.

I went "ah, a fellow German" at the sentence "insults are illegal". 😄
Holy crap that last story was a WILD RIDE
Nice to see event organizers taking homophobia seriously that’s sadly rare in this day and age
Damn. The rare femcel, dont see those every day
A self aware DnD “The Bachelor” sounds kinda fun 2 seconds after hearing it (or any kind of reality show premise)
I'll have you know that Crispy and Crispys tavern is cannon in my current game.
I am loving Crispy's version of a "sexy lamp" ROFL as a fellow ace, I approve wholeheartedly
That first game already has a an entire RPG like that, it's called MAID
22:17 OP's boyfriend: DON'T TAKE ME FOR A CONJURER OF CHEAP TRICKS!
4:15 "based on the Goblin Slayer anime" *War flashbacks*
But seriously, even myself, as someone who kinda enjoyed s1 of the show (EXCEPT Ep 1 which is NOT AT ALL OKAY), a player or DM suggesting this *particular* anime as the basis for an RPG is a red flag.
I didn't know Crispy was ace, so that was nice to see another Ace person! The Bachelor bit was funny,
I've only just come across the Tavern and I am so glad I have ^...^ The stories are hilarious and I love the skits. Thank you so much Crispy!!! Maybe one day I'll know how you got your name lol
Crispy is just my name :)
You really add so much to these stories. I love your content! 💙 Keep up the amazing work.
*Edit:* Also, that edit with Crispy-crow over James Somerton has aged like sour milk this past week. ;-)
"Sometimes, foreshadowing is relatively obvious"
-probably someone not James Somerton
Actually, that's Prof. Evan Gottlieb, from a video that talks about Foreshadowing in writing. It's from Oregon State University, apparently, but what most people know it from is Internet Historian. If James Somerton has used it as well, that's news to me.
The Thor edit with TTS really got me lmao
This reminds me of a player in my group a few years back who said that lesbians were a hollywood conspiracy, and two female PCs flirting (romance RP has always been entirely normal at our table) were just there to piss her off.
