Great video, thanks David! I served my mission in western New York, close to Palmyra, and was told at church, the first Sunday I attended there, by a really old member, that Joseph Smith taught the men who were with him, on their way from Palmyra to Kirtland, while sitting on logs on Lake Erie's coast, near Erie, that "the Nephites walked through this exact spot while fleeing the Lamanites, to the land of Cumorah, during the final battles." He said the log Joseph sat on, was still there, by the lake. We need EVERY Latter-day Saint to understand the Book of Mormon's lands are in the U.S., where Joseph Smith testified they are, and understand that some Nephites or Lamanites very likely traveled to Mayan lands and shared their beliefs with them but that the BofM did not take place in Mexico, Central or South America, Siberia, or any other place.

I independently came to the conclusion that cureloms and cumoms were mammoths and mastodons years ago by a sudden insight, having pondered the question for a long time.
I'm from Michigan and I'm excited to learn about the state fossil. Thank you for all of this information.

Do you have more information on the original Hopewell-era artifacts findings? When were they found? Were they all found in the same area or different areas? Has there been any carbon dating on the artifacts? This all is very fascinating!

These are all very interesting. Have any of them ever been examined to determine their age and authenticity?

Cureloms and cumoms were more than likely crossbred beasts of burden such as mules(Jack and Hinny). If so, I believe the two words used in the BoM stems from the Adamic language that could have still lingered in the Jaredite language. Since Ancient times, Mules have been known to be superior beasts of burden above the donkey and the horse.
"and there were elephants and cureloms and cumoms; all of which were useful unto man, and more especially the elephants and cureloms and cumoms"
"Mules were known in Egypt since before 3000 BC and for some 600 years - between 2100 BC and 1500 BC - - the Pharaohs sent expeditions into the Sinai to mine turquoise. The miners marked their route with carvings on rocks showing boats and mules (not camels!). Mules were, at that time, the preferred pack animal. Also in ancient Egypt, while the Pharaohs were carried about in fancy litters by servants, the common people often had the use of mule drawn carts. An Egyptian monument from Thebes depicts mules yoked to a chariot. Mule remains are frequent in the archaeological record, suggesting that mules had become a "mainstream" animal early on, used primarily for pulling wagons or transporting burden.
To the north in Asia Minor, the Hittites were the most powerful of the early horse-people - - but they ... considered the mule to be at least three times more valuable in price than even a good chariot horse ."
Google History of the mule. :>)

I love your videos. Thank you. I don't care for the music though. A bit distracting.

Where are all the cities if the BoM took place in the U.S? There isn’t any evidence at all of large population centers that have been found.
