We spotted with our little eyes 1 blaze, beautiful clouds sliding over some hills, a pond and waterfall. Thank you as always for all the extra commitment to take us along. Keep safely nobo!
You are experiencing something some of us will only ever dream of. Watching all your videos. Fantastic views, strenuous climbs. Be careful out there. Almost there. You have a lot of people rooting for you and praying you on. Be careful 😅
Hope you didn't lose too much sleep ruminating about what lay ahead. Now that you've done the toughest mile on the AT (as well as having 1900 miles hiked), you must feel pretty good that there's nothing the AT's gonna throw at you that you can't handle. Congratulations!
Thank you John! It does feel good to have those milestones behind me! I’m sure the AT will continue to challenge me but I do feel like I’m prepared for what lies ahead! Thanks for all your support!
I’m not seeing discussions of blackbear in the Maine posts and except for a few adorable deer, nobody is talking about moose anymore either. Just in case here is a story for you. The Pastor is hiking the AT when he comes across a huge black bear. He drops to his knees and prays, “oh Lord, protect me.” He looks over and the bear is on his knees too!! Pastor says, “oh thank God, it’s a Christian bear.” Just then he hears the bear say….. “thank you Lord for these Thy gifts which we are about to receive.” ….. I think you just have to outrun Bandit !!! Really glad you guys are being deliberate and staying safe.
BE VERY CAREFUL WITH YOUER PHONE!! You will see Ice and fog in that section. I took some video in that section and filmed Detail hiking it.. The Arm is also tough. Stay focused on your goal!! And AS ALWAYS keep PUSHING TOWARD Katahdin!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~MAVERICK71~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks for the info! That section seems to swallow up more things than anywhere else on trail. I kept my phone nice and secure! The arm was super steep too but not quite as tough as the wildcats in my opinion!
Well now you can say you have something most will only dream of doing. No joke you are living the dream for us all and doing it with humble grace!!
Thanks for the kind words and support! I really appreciate it!😀
