All my pedals are Boss, they've always been my favorite! I still even practice with my old Boss play buss headphone amp from the 80's! Great video Marty!

I haven't tried it yet but I really dig the option to set different amp sounds on the selected markers, it's like having a sound guy working with you back stage

Hahah why tho AcDc is trash. Also all u need to learn is one song and you’ve learned them all. Angus Young is the one member that matters just because of his longevity in the game and still being able to go all out every night on stage. As far as a band that influenced the music is questionable. They definitely didn’t innovate or reinvent the wheel in any way 🤷

Marty, how is it we hear the sound of you're running out thru headphones? Can it be plugged into speakers?
Yes 2 ways stereo Out ( regular stereo Mini cable into aux in ( Like monitors, or BT speakers) or y cable stereo into 2 mono ins at your Interface or mixer secondly pair Boss audio with a Mobilohone or wise versa..i prefer cables..

I tried the early versions of this technology.... I think it was called iRig. What I remember was a myriad of wires to the point that it wasn’t practical. This seems like an improvement; big props for the rechargeable battery! The only concern is the headphones having to plug into the pedal..... if I could use my AirPods, this would be a no brainer. I don’t; see anything in the marketing materials that says it supports AirPods but I’ll keep looking,
After playing for 13 years, no matter how hard I try or how much I practice, I just can't get to where I want to be as a player. I'm loosing hope but at least I still enjoy playing....

hope someone can give me a constructive answer:
can one use this Boss Pocket GT properly as a pre-amp into a PA system? i now use a Line6 Pod X3 in combination with some stomp pedals on a pedal board into a PA (small gigs only) but its big , needs its own powersupply and the tonebank often doesnt work. would love some detailed feedback about this idea, or alternatives!!

$250 - ouch. I went with a $4 looper/slow down IOS app and bought the Positive Grid IOS mobile app. About 1/10 the price. Just another option for the iPhone/iPad folks out there.

Nice unit for those that (used to) do a lot of travelling, and want to keep their playing chops honed.
The practice tools are getting better all the time. This looks like a good one and a fair price for it all.
I would love to see a lesson on connecting the mixolydian scale up and down the neck! It would help a lot for me to use more than one mixolydian scale shape and apply that mode all over the neck rather than in just one spot.
Does it work as just a pedal modeler out to an amp too?
You can edit the patch chains, and save them, so I guess just set everything off except the pedal.
So... Can you run this out to an amp as well?

I have the Pocket GT connected via BT, and it seems to be working fine. I have a video on my smart phone, and the GT can pause / play / FF / Rewind the video as it is supposed to *however* the video is audible only on the phone, and the guitar is audible only on the headphones.
Is this how it is supposed to work or is there a setting/option somewhere I am missing?
On the other hand, when I plug it in via USB to the computer, I *can* hear the video on the GT *however* the transport controls do not work.

Very cool piece of gear. I have a Boss GT 100 pedal and this is very similar. I also have an IK irig and use tone print that this could replace for learning. Thanks Marty and BOSS!

Is there an option on there to detune a song? I play a couple of songs a half step down, so playing along to a song which isn’t detuned is quite hard. Or is there an app or software which can detune original songs??

I need some help Marty, I've been making my own music here lately, I got 5 songs so far but they're all played using the same key, is there an easy way to learn chord progressions in a different key besides using a capo?
Be aware that as of 26 May 2021 the youtube interface component of this product does not work. After two days of fighting with it, Boss finally got back to me and told me they are aware of the problem and are working on it. They didnt feel it worth telling people....

I have the Boss Katana amp, but sadly I only have a old laptop and it won’t download the software from the town studio cuz of how old my laptop is. Is there any other way I can use the software without a computer? Like will a phone or tablet work?
