I bought one of these about a year ago. It was good at first. But now its punch seems a bit weak.

Check the internal hammer for a Burr. If found, use 400 to 600 grit automotive wet/dry sandpaper to smooth out the action. This was recommended on other videos.

Not really, just mostly on softer materials
