I have some of both sizes. Maybe it was already said, but the smaller ones have cutouts in the jaws for plastic fuses. I usually find other brands of Made in USA tools I prefer over Snap-On, but these pliers are absolute winners, with nothing else like them out there. Great for general tool kits, car kits, garage tool box, as they can replace other tools. Match a pair of these with some Knipex Cobras, and you can do so much…
I have the 46 and have no regrets. I absolutely love them and best pliers made. Can't wait to get the bigger ones as well.
These pliers really are the bees knees. Got the bigger pair but waiting on availability in my area for the smaller set.
Agreed!!
Should I get the 46 or 47 first? I just broke my knipex needles noses and waiting on a warranty figured I grab these tomorrow when the truck comes.
46 imo

Surprised that snapintwo still have original designs. Are we sure this isn't a name slap?
They have plenty of original designs. So do lots of companies
I wanna be very clear, this guy has full confidence in those things 😂 as soon as he started lifting himself I was like oh my god don’t do that. Cause if he fell, dude those bolts coming up from the lift post are absolutely destroying his knees for the rest of his life.
🤣🤣🤣 this is true but honestly I didn’t even think about that when doing it
Cool. I actually restore vintage hand tools and have many slip joint pliers, some going back over a hundred years...but these things are badass! And remember, you will never regret buying a superior pair of pliers.
Agreed!! That’s awesome you restore tools I bet that’s very rewarding seeing the final product
@@Enrightauto Absolutely!
I was making fun of the guys at work
When they first came out and they were going crazy over them! Lol then I seen your video hanging from a pair of needle nose pliers. I went and got the big set that came with the other two pair of regular pliers then had to wait a week for the smaller pair and I got no regrets! 👍
Nice!! Thanks for watching
Honestly they are amazing I have the larger pair in Orange and as a diesel mechanic they are my go to pliers.
favorite pair of pliers I’ve ever owned.
Got these too and use this on everything now, very good at separating those pins on ball joints and such
Yes!! Great idea 🙌🙌
Got both pairs yesterday. And they were on promotion so I got both for about $85.
Can’t beat that
I have both & they are my go-to pliers!!
What a world when you feel $70 for pliers is cheap. I can get behind buying expensive tools and paying for quality, but that shouldn’t make them “really not even that expensive” just because it’s lower in cost relative to most other things on the truck. I have bought expensive tools that I would have paid double for, not because I describe them as cheap or not expensive, but I describe them as “dang these are expensive but with every penny”
“Expensive” is a relative term to one’s income
I want to get this set of pliers for home use. Not super familiar with snap on (aside from knowing that they make quality tools) so i want to know if they ever go on sale or lower in price?
I don’t need them immediately so I can wait.
Pretty rare for them to run sales
Well I hadn't seen hanging from them..😂 pretty crazy..I have both pairs , may pass on hanging but good to know they grab that well.
🤣🤣🤣
They're awesome worth every penny. 🔥🔥
Still waiting to get the small ones.
My driver still don't have it on stock.....
👍👍
Snap on on hand tools are top notch!!!!!!
Battery impacts different story. 😅😅
The small ones are tough. I may disagree on the battery stuff I’ve had great success with the 14.4v line up and the ct9050 is a monster
Got both. They save me time on work
It's All about Quality
Best damn pliers on the market.
I own the 47. The price is a joke for what you get. Do they work? Yes, But they are made as cheap as possible. The sides are completely unfinished, They just stamped them out and send them on their way. I have cheap pliers that are more refined than these. Also, They rust, Badly. Just sitting in my box there are several spots that bloomed out of nowhere. It makes zero sense that my pair of Matco pliers that I abuse have no rust, and my snap-on pliers that I use 1/4 as much look like I've had them for years.
Sounds like you got a dud pair and need to warranty them out. You are the only person thus far to have an issue with them.
@@Enrightauto I think he got the shit end of the stick , honestly I never seen any type of rust on any of my Snapon. 😊
Great video thanks. Do you rate these better than something like the 196ANCF then? Seems to be similar, but one has the slip-joint and the other has a decent cutter.
I like the slip joint just because of the various uses
@@Enrightauto Thanks
To the people that think $60 is expensive.... even $100 is nothing now days.
Any tool that’s less than a tank of gas in the truck is a deal to me
Can’t find them anywhere. Even snap on, on line don’t have them
Yea on backorder but they will come available again!
If you had to pick one over the other?
Probably the LN47’s but they are so cheap there is no reason not to buy both
Snap on truck guy said they not making the 46 yet
He lied
I got the 47 waiting on my dealer for the 46. We get stuff last on the west coast. They are great pliers for sure! Awesome demo doing pull-ups!!
Yea they are awesome. I’ve been very pleased with them. It does stink that they change regions when they release stuff no doubt.
Dont feel bad i still cant get the 46 here in ny
Is that a MAT? Under the needle nose in the thumb nail what’s the part number?
The 46 are not on the snap on site yet
Correct I mentioned that in the video. They are on their just not priced
@Enright Auto yes I saw your video 😅
@Enright Auto I got myself a pair of the 47 gonna post a review on my channel later on 👍🏽
How do these compare to vampliars?
I don’t personally have vampliers but I don’t think you will be disappointed in these.
I think they are crazy expensive. But having said that I talked to the tool truck guy in my area and most likely i will but a pair. I'm curious to own a Snapon tool and one that is so much hyped. I can't see myself buying more Snapon but I will get some satisfaction knowing that my son or son inlaw will be putting it to use long after I'm dead.
$60 crazy expensive?
@@Enrightauto $ 138 here. Yep. Crazy expensive.
@@ozyrob1 where is here? Must be out of the country
@@Enrightauto Yes Australia. These pliars are about 2.5 x knipex price for similar pliars. They are ridiculously expensive here.
@@ozyrob1 yea I understand then yes for you they are. Thats the main benefit of their tools being made in the USA are for us who live here.
Look like amazing pliers..but where are you getting your prices?..everywhere I look they are well north of $100..what we need is Knipex to make a similar style plier for $40-$50...
Straight from their website 👌
That are Amazing
Me: expecting the coin trick for the 37th time.
This guy: they’re part of my workout routine
😂😂
"super cheap" that's $80 Canadian Pesos
Cheap
My boy just called 61 dollars for small pliers “super cheap”… let that sink in
The dumbing down of Americans is strong. Super cheap 🤣🤣🤣 I'll stick with my "super cheap" $10 pliers
My dude thinks that $61 dollars is expensive let that sink in 🙄🙄
Enjoy them and your poor man’s mentality. That’s your right to have that mentality.
@@Enrightauto I actually have more than you'll ever have. I have ZERO tool payments, can you say that.
@@larrydudgeon2846 🤣🤣 what’s a payment? $0 balance I hate payments.
super cheap?
Yup
Why don't the tips line up in the center slot?
Not sure what you mean
@@Enrightauto When you closed them in the center position the tip of the pliers didn't match, one tip was above the other by quite a bit. On the end positions the tips lined up. Wonder if this was done intentionally for some reason. Thank you for answering.
@@davidb.7223 depends on how they are positioned on the slip joints
I can pull myself up with commercial electric linesman’s pliers… have a strong enough grip and u can do it with just about any plier
Awesome! Be sure to tag me in the video you do with all the Vice grips!!
@@Enrightauto great answer
Just got the 7 inches today, haven't even used them yet lmao they are really for my box at the house but I like them. The 9 inches were s huge plier though, not sure if or when I'll grab those. I'm still a knipex man at heart
They are greet pliers you won’t be disappointed
