The front wheels on all Dayona floor jacks have curved wheels (inside of the front wheels to the outside of each front wheel]. Most all floor jacks don't have curved front wheels but have flat front wheels.

I just picked up a Daytona 4-Ton jack in Blue for $199 at Harbor Freight. ($239 - $40 coupon). I like the fact that the Daytona 4-Ton also has ZERK fittings for the front wheels just like the 3-Ton Super Duty. If I had to make the choice. I would have went for the 3 ton long reach low profile. Though the lowest height is marginal but sometimes just a half inch can make a difference. What I do like is the higher 24inches. Works real well with the 6 ton Jack stands. And when I am working on the ground under a vehicle. It is nice to have that extra room without having to raise it in multiple stages to get the height I need. That is my own opinion. You may not need that aspect of it. I do.

If you are going to be lifting heavier duty trucks with it I'd get the 4 ton. For most people however, the 3 ton low profile long reach is the best option. Has the foot pedal for when you don't want to pump it by hand 24/7 and can reach good jacking points easier than the regular one, especially if your pinch welds are rotted away and you can't use them.

When you're in a tight spot I've come to find that it's actually safer to have a few pieces of wood that are large enough to put underneath the jack rather than on the jack itself. This is definitely far more stable but can still be a bit hairy

Great review! I've been debating which one to get for a few weeks now. I recommend checking the hydraulic fluid level and then bleeding the hydraulics to get the air out of the system. You'll most likely get a more lift travel with each pump. Air is compressible and no good for hydro systems.

Hey Justin, my names Gregg. Just finished watching your video on you deciding to purchase your Harbor Freight 4ton extrem green Daytona floor jack. You ask the question, if we thought you chose the right floor jack. Really just a couple of 3 things that you need to consider when making that decision. #1: Cost How much can you afford to spend on a floor jack? #2: What is your intended use for this new floor jack? Are you going to be working on just your 2 car & that's all? Or are you doing side jobs @ night & on weekends? Or are you taking it to a full blown garage. Also what type vehicles are you going to be lifting (low ground clearance vehicles, pickup truck, 4x4's)? #3: Last but not least, warranty. I could be mistaken but I believe 1yr is the longest warranty any of the Daytona floor jacks have except for the YELLOW Daytona Supper Duty 3ton floor jack which has a 3yr warranty. That's the same jack that Snap-on tried taking them to court on copyright infringement. Snap-on didn't win. Thank you for your channel. Gregg Muse

I bought my current jack almost 40 years ago before there were Harbor Freight stores, from a store that sold imported tools. It's a Chinese heavy duty jack, & just needs new seals. It's done everything ive asked of it over the years. But the identification label is long gone, and finding the right seal kit near impossible. I paid $55, which, adjusted for inflation is around $150. So the 3 ton on sale looks like the best fit for my needs. Nothing I own weighs 8000 lbs.
Because they're low profile, a wood block can be usually be added, giving the jack extra lift distance.

While the long reach might seem insignificant, it does allow the jack to go higher, which is important for many. No more using wood blocks to get that extra height. I have a quick jack that I bought from Harbor Freight with the quick pedal in the back. It does meet the frame quicker, however because of the lift rate, it is hard to jack up if you are lifting a heavier vehicle. I don’t see that jack offered anything from Harbor Freight. For smaller cars it’s great, not so much for full size cars, or trucks.
The jack that you’re showing looks to be better than the one that I purchased, for heavier vehicles.

Like the enthousiasm and recognize the efforts. Question: Why not buy the "Racing" [aluminum] version? 3ton seems to be close to the same $ as the 4T steel version and 40 pounds lighter. I would think anyone with anything less than a 1ton could go with the 3 or 2.5 easily.

My Craftsman 2T floor jack I got back in ‘96 finally broke. I had to get a new one so I got the green NASCAR 3T jack. I hope it’s good. The Craftsman one was great for my Ford Taurus back when I bought it but not high enough for my 2 classic Mercedes or the Nissan Frontier. I’m hoping the green one will lift high enough.

I recommend putting Harbor Freight Coupons App on your phone, it's 3rd party, NOT the official HF APP.. every coupon in US updated constantly, "add to cart" all the coupons you want including your free item, they scan your phone, never cut a coupon again! (I'm not affiliated lol)

I bought one recently and can say I noticed the low profile one is worse imo as it only goes about an inch lower where i cannot fathom a situation where the regular 3 ton daytona wouldn't fit but secondly the low profile one pumps up about 30-40% slower and for anyone who regularly works under a car you know this is the biggest factor in buying these lifts.

for most cars 2 tons is fine ,, I have a large car its only 3300 pounds for the whole car.. You only lifting one area at a time ,,And placing it on jackstands... Never work on the car or truck with just the Jack under it.... Three tons for the truck would be fine.... You need to refill the hydraulic fluid to make sure it's full could be the reason why you're not getting Rapid pump...They do sell it with low oil My low profile jack from Harbor freight cost me 79 bucks on Blackfriday Same Daytona i saw for 110...

  • @darkshadow2393

Did you add hydraulic fluid? if not, the reservoir is probably mostly empty making the rapid pumping not as effective as it should be. It was clear that your pumping action range was very limited.

I'm trying to find a jack that's efficient for me also. I have an 02 Trailblazer which I'm going to do a brake job on in the springtime. Years ago I had a jack where if you pump it up one time and it shot up until it hits something solid than jack it up as usual. I think it was called daytona racing jack. I found it at Sam's club. I would love to find something like the ease of that one.

This vid on u tube has the yellow one , He owns a auto shop and after one year of use , looked like it had been beat with a chain for a month straight. He says it gets used all day everyday , any way he proceeds to roll it outside and has a flat bed wrecker parked , he says it weighed 12,000 lbs , He jacks it up and then goes to lunch , comes back after an hour and it didn't budge...That's what I based my decision on , I purchased the same DJ3000 yellow Daytona.....And I love it.

Justin since you have a relationship with harbor freight maybe you can answer this question. Is it true that the yellow 3 ton Daytona Jack is built to a higher standard than the rest of the Daytona Jack’s??? I’m sure everyone would like to know and It can guide our purchases better.
