This is the best jack I’ve owned and works great for all purpose maintenance-especially on my sports cars. The quality is amazing and it is easy to maintain (access to bleed screw). Impressed by how well greased and sorted the jack was from new.
this jack failed when I tried to lift a BMW 5 series the casters collapsed and car fell, returned it back and never looked back, it is good for light duty stuff only
Anyone know where I can purchase a replacement metal saddle? The stock saddle that comes on This thing is way too small for me to safely lift using my RennStand
@@autofanaticcarsahh you returned it? Would have been cool if you did an update video, or if you updated the description. I had horrible luck with the ones I purchased. Ended up just going with a steel Schwaben ultra low profile, long reach 2 ton. It's a beast, much cheaper than these janky things, and much higher quality. With jacks, nothing beats steel 🤷♂️
Perfect timing Phil. I actually need a floor jack and this one looks like it will definitely fit the bill. I love the small size and lightweight and it looks like it's very well built for the money, even though I missed the coupon. I'm sure Harbor Freight will have another coupon soon so I might wait a few weeks and see. I rarely need a floor jack unless doing a wheel coating and need to remove the rims but like any quality tool, when you need it, you need it, and having the right tool at the right time is a godsend. Thanks for your reviews of these essential detailing products and your honest opinions Phil.
I bought this jack last month and used it for the first time today, to jack up the rear end of my 3200lb car. Just about the time I got the car fully raised, I heard a pop and then noticed the jack descending with hydraulic fluid pooling beneath the jack fluid; the seals had apparently blown. Before this time I had tested the jack with no load and it seemed to work fine, except that it was taking about 5½ pumps to reach full height instead of the advertised 3½. I attributed this to air in the system and so did the oil top off, it was a little low, and the air bleeding, there were some bubbles. After that the jack worked fine, as advertised, and I then lubricated the joints and pivot points with white lithium grease as per the instructions. I'm going to take the jack back to HF for an exchange, as I really like the jack and am hoping this one was just a fluke. I know that this jack is made in China🫤
I stopped by Harbor Freight, saw the Daytona. I asked if they sell a rebuild kit for the Daytona pistons. Just like the Pittsburg they do not sell rebuild kits. Eventually the pistons will go out and you will have a jack that is useless and worthless. Higher end jacks do sell rebuild kits.
usually if you ever buy from HF they email them to you and this new sale ends in two days FYI if you do not have any ask a friend or sometimes the store will give them to you when you show up
The $99 Pittsburgh that they still sell? Really curious how that holds up against this. At first glance, the Daytona doesn't seem like it's worth the addition $200 without a coupon
In my experience this jack sucks. I much prefer the green and black 1.5 ton version. Start with the front wheels, or lack there of. That one piece barrel wheel just limits mobility. Especially on non perfect shop floors (which are most). Second, it's too narrow and gets tipsy when you start to get up to service height. Third, due to the aforementioned unstableness, you get a lot of flex, which means all of the hardware eventually loosens up, and you have to retighten these more than usual. Finally, it loses a lot of its strength with moderate use. I had to bleed mine 2 months in, and my other one (I bought three for my shop), one of the pistons stayed stuck in the compressed position. The more use it sees, the more frequent bleeding you need to do to keep it operating correctly. Where is this air being introduced? Pro tip: if the jack makes a squeal or chirp sound every time you pump under load, the sealing lip of the oiston seal is dry, and needs to be lubed. If you don't do this, eventually the seal will tear, and you will develop a leak.
yeah I tried it on my new BMW and it it started twisting as the car went up I stopped and immediately returned it.This jack looks nice but is not strong enough and the rear swivel casters were collapsing the more I pumped it up. So disappointed so I just bought another AC Hydraulic jack and love it along with my other AC Jacks. well worth the money
Be nice to own the Ferrari one day, you can keep the Jack 😂
This jack would make an awesome Christmas gift for any car enthusiast
thats why i posted this video, killer price for this jack that any car enthusiast can use

I’ve been wondering where I need to place a jack when lifting my 2018 Dodge Charger Daytona 392. Would it be anywhere along the chassis then? Thx
NEED TO MAKE THIS Jack in a 2 TON VERSION ASAP
yeah the 1.5 is weak and the rear casters weak, mine barely was able to lift my BMW M3 so i returned it.
@@autofanaticcars was gonna get this for my lowered G82 M4C. May pass based on your review. Any good alternatives?

This peaked my interest. Super low profile too! I have 2 days to decide though!
Good choice!
It piqued my interest too!
@@DaddyoftheMacki immediately noticed that also…lol
Looks to nice to bang up in the garage lol, I really like the use of a hockey puck, beats the heck out of a piece of wood 👍😁
yeah wood i have found cracks and can be scary on heavier cars the pucks are perfect and safe and do not scratch or mar anything too.

These are Probably the Best Tool you can buy from Harbor Freight
yeah for the sale it was worth sharing on the channel i felt. nice jack
Phil, I have your splash guards for my Giulia and they tore off today, what's the adhesive strips that 3M makes that you provided with them?
contact us we can sell you a new install kit the grade we use is not available retail to the public
@@autofanaticcars Who do I call? I don't see a phone number on the website.
send an email through the website with all your details we will send you an invoice and get the parts shipped tomorrow

why is it 250-300% more than the other (2) 1.5 ton jacks? it seems steep
Where can I get the 25% off coupon? I've searched and didn't see it.
via email or online they send them to customers each week via email
Where is the coupon for it?

Are these waterproof-ish? I ask because the good-old boys down the street seem to leave theirs outside.
I still have my original aluminum jack from HF.
toss that and get this one the older and cheaper ones were sketchy to say the least this one is more stable and better engineered.

WHY they dont sell these in the UK - whyyyy ohhhhh why?
Can this lift the tire of a RX350 off the ground with 7.5" ground clearance?
This is definitely not designed for SUV it’s more suited for lowered sports cars only
