It was down to these English guys to bring it to the attention of you guys. How Peter Green ripped off American blues singers & players totally baffles me, if anything he brought their music to a larger audience enabling them to resurect their careers in Europe & beyond giving them a belated payday
@@davemoore9901 - thats because most people in america thought white folks trying to play the blues was a joke. Very few are actually any good and of course, Peter Green wwas exceptional and the exception.
So great Les Paul sound!!
Best English blues man, played with Mayall? Another great
I cannot think of another guitarist except Hendrix who could play with such intense emotion (and skill) as Peter Green.
Page and Beck. Though Page's playing suffered when heroin entered the picture. Shout out to Roy Buchanan as well.
anyone know if Danny Kirwan is also on this cut...sounds like he is....he always had more tension in his playing than Peter did...at least to me....a monster himself for sure. Peter , though, had more than tone, feel , touch , time....his SOUL always came through it all and was/is so unique....a one off for sure!
Danny was there, yes, but certainly not in the lead.
The epitome of blue -eyed Soul !!
just beautiful!!
Yes!!! Glad you like it, Sophie!! Have a nice day! (There's more PG with Mayall live 1967 on my channel. Check it out if you like. You won't be disappointed)
Thank you so much for uploading, Rob. Im a big fan of PG.
For me, he's the man....tks for the sub.....enjoy your day, Sophie.
He always knew when to ease up and when to press on
Everything great about electric blues guitar playing here. Thanks Rob, I sort of missed Peter Green in the blues explosion of the 60s-70s, plus the fact he disappeared into his personal problems thereafter, but you've convinced me (and a lot of others I'm sure) that he's up there with the best of the best.
If someone has footage of this performance I need it. This was their best go at this record. And Peter's voice and playing were perfect. This is the blues. And to think he was still really young to be doing this at that level lol. Long live Peter Green. 🤟🔥🤟
If there is any footage, it certainly would have posted here. It was 1969, no cellphones then, to my great regret!!
A genius blues guitarist, with a great, swinging, rhythm section - listen to Mick Fleetwood here!
Peter couldn't excel without a good rhythm section, so true!!
Rob , the Blues needs fans like you , thanks
You're welcome, Phyl. Glad you like it. (If you haven't noticed there's more Greeny and Mayall life in 1967 on my channel)
@@vanu49 We're VERY lucky to have you, my friend

You're welcome, Ann. Glad you like it and great you pass it on the the next generation....have a nice weekend!
Aaaarrrggghhhhh! He's so great I almost can't stand it !!!!!
Ha, I know what you mean.
Nothing like the blues to melt your troubles away..all the feelings are right there at your finger tips..toe tapping and head bopping...:)
meilleur guitariste de blues anglais
Wicked, wicked feel in that solo- and all the way through actually!
Seen the twice live...68 when they were just a 4 piece band...and 69 at Droitwich blues festival when Danny joined...brilliant
You and I, we belong to the lucky ones!!
Rob van Unnik - Amsterdam kan je please vertellen hoe het was om Peter Green live te zien spelen?? Ik ben zo benieuwd!
Killer, thanks for sharing.
+Harrison Mandell You're welcome. Glad you like it. When you're interested in more Green live with Mayall 1967, check out my channel. Live tracks from the secret tapes.
Thanks Rob!
Enjoy!
Very Feeling ...very feeling !!!
Wow he totally had it
My favourite Peter Green song to do at blues jams with my Lemon Drop Les Paul complete with out of phase sound...can't even begin to get close to the great man!!!
I wish this was on spotify
So ein Konzert sollte man unbedingt wiederholen
Thank You so much Vanu for bringing this beautiful music of Peter Greens to those who cant get enough of this gifted Blues God. I found Greens Fleetwood Mac when at the age of 12 I found Then Play On at a 2nd hand store for 25 cents. I have devoured all the British Blues Icons , but there is so much Green material you have brought to light that I have never heard before (the live Bluesbreakers etc.) I cant tell you how grateful I am Vanu. Thank you so much bro.
