My aunt had hers done many years ago. She was feeling sick ALL the time and her doctors and everyone couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her. Then it just dawned on them that she had implants and maybe something was going on. She had surgery and when they took them out the implants themselves were BLACK! They were leaking or something and bacteria was getting into her bloodstream. She immediately felt better once they were removed. Good for you for listening to your body. I feel like we as women are just so in tune with these things.

Yes…super scary! It’s actually what had deterred me from getting mine done. Right out of high school I really wanted mine done, but this happened and it made me not get them which I’m glad now at 35 I didn’t go thru with it. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting augmentation surgery; you just gotta do your research, make sure it’s a good doctor, etc…but even then we still don’t know how our bodies will react until it happens. Like I said, this was many years ago though (late 90’s/early 2000’s). I can’t remember if she had silicone or saline, but they turned BLACK because of MOLD and BACTERIA which was leaking into her body and bloodstream making her really sick. Im not sure how that even happened or what caused it in the first place I can’t remember, but I just remember seeing a picture of them once removed and just couldn’t believe it! She and the doctor who took them out were just shocked! I know that it’s so frustrating to go along feeling sick not knowing what the hell is causing it so even though she was shocked and upset to find out that’s what was going on, she felt so much relief once they got them out and knew the implants were the culprit. She felt better almost immediately once they could get the infection under control.

Good to see the explant shift (or choosing against implants)! There is a lifetime of future surgeries ahead with breast implants that isn't discussed... aged implant exchanges, capsular contractures, weighted implant breast lifts, plus numbness, etc ... not to mention the serious BII health issues!!

Thank God you went with your gut. Years ago (1st grade) my cousin and I were walking to school it was the winter. Anyway, crossing the street my cousin got hit by a car. It caused a leg break, for years he had several surgeries. He always complained about a certain pain in his leg almost 20 years he finally had the courage to deal with it a new orthopedic surgeon went in and they found gauze buried deep into his leg that was left in his leg. He could have lost his leg with the amount of infection from 20 years of that gauze being in his leg. He felt justified because his parents as a kid thought he was complaining. I’m so proud of him and you, I wish he would have pushed earlier like you, but being a kid we tend to not listen. I know his parents felt bad. Anyway, continue to heal and I’m glad you told your story. It’s not about the breasts it’s about advocating for your health and well-being.

My daughter, after having her first child complained of a smell from her private area, she also wasn't feeling quite right. She was telling her doctor several times about it. I think she went to a different doctor--not sure, but they eventually found gauze stuck way up there that would not dislodge on its own. It was left after she gave birth and it wasn't even a cesarean. I still can't fathom.

So glad your surgery went well and you are feeling better. I’m so proud of you for putting your health first. Things could have been so much worse,. Becoming depressed from the constant pain or even becoming addicted to all the pain medication. Your decision was definitely the best decision. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It was not in vain. It has really helped me. I’m sure it will help others, like myself, who are considering breast augmentation. Or maybe even help someone else who’s living with the pain you experienced to take action themselves.

Omg! I know exactly how the pain you are describing feels, because I’ve described feeling that pain to my doctor recently on the left side of my left thigh. I am currently pregnant with baby #2 and I’ve never felt this feeling with my first baby. I googled and googled and googled and thought something was wrong. The doctor basically explained what it was and basically told me that the baby is pressing on a nerve and the feeling isn’t going to go away until after the baby is born. I can’t sleep straight flat on my back or my stomach cause I’m pregnant obviously. I can’t sleep on my left side cause the pain gets worse so I go from my right, to my left to incline then getting up to pee is a lot! Sleeping or standing for more than 15 mins on that side feels exactly how you described. Girl you are not alone. I’m glad you put this video out here and I love your confidence!

I think it was just God’s way of telling you that you’re perfect the way you are Sabrina. I know you said you knew you always wanted it done, and that can be frustrating that it didn’t workout, but I think there’s always a reason for why things happen the way they did. I think it’s a good idea to wait if you decide to get them done again. Your body has been through a lot and you’re right to allow yourself time to rest. Try not to be so hard on yourself Chica. You wanted to do something you’ve always wanted to do for yourself, and it didn’t go as planned and you listened to your body and corrected it. Stuff happens, life doesn’t go as planned, I just thank God Dr. Kim found those stitches! Glad you’re recovering and doing good ❤️

I’ve been through the same journey, I could write a book. My reason for getting them in the first place was to better proportion my pear shape body. The only difference is the implants I had were textured and link to cancer. I feel so more at ease not having them. Glad you are doing well, I do have to wear a push up bra. I’m much older (56) and I’m not happy with the look but my husband and I are so comfortable with each other so it’s ok. My surgeon was great and very compassionate. I had a leak the first time, then we put in the textured and got the recall . I was really put out with the company because they would pay for implants to be put back in but I had to pay for the hospital, anesthesiologist, and I had to have a total capsule removal. So all the expense came out of my pocket. Blessings, prayers and healing. 🙏💛

I’ve always contemplated breast augmentation because of my itty bitty. In fact I’ve spent several years thinking about whether or not to get them, but your story, along with a few others, have help me to rethink and appreciate my itty bitty because I’m in good health and I don’t have to jeopardize it. You are a beautiful woman. Thank you for sharing your stupid.

each clinic can do anywhere from 500-1000 breast augmentation surgeries a year. It is so common of a procedure. You only hear of the scary stories on youtube. There are millions of happy women with implants all over the world. You choose to either look at some girls videos and scare yourself, or look at the metrics and data around patient satisfaction and revision rates. Please reconsider if it will make you happier or not at least and don't be so scared lol

@@dianemckenzie9669 I looked into all the metrics obviously and research available. I trust documented research and not let myself get scared with youtube videos. I also know many doctors personally. Many have women who get their implants removed and followup with them (the GP) and still have their symptoms which turn out to be from something else entirely and not their implants.
And yes I get mine soon :) super excited.

God must be sending me all the signs.. in about 4 years it’ll be 10 years since I got implants. After my first baby my boobs looked terrible. (The sag of an 85 year old) it was pretty bad. It was a tough decision because I never thought to get plastic surgery until I saw how badly it affected my self esteem, I was only 22 at the time. Now fast forwarding to 3 children later at 28 all I been thinking about is to removing them asap. Ever since I started thinking of it (haven’t voiced it to anyone or researched it yet) I’ve been getting a lot of random videos suggested about all the reasons women are removing them. Now you post this! And I watch you religiously lol. I cannot believe it. I want a breast lift only now because I believe it’s affecting my health or will in the future and I just can’t stand having something fake inside my body anymore. I wish they would of been the same as when I first got them but they look blah again. Obviously I had babies but still, I’m just over it.

Definitely get them removed! If you do make sure to get a capsulectomy. That’s when they remove the implant AND the scar tissue. The scar tissue can contain many of the toxins that potentially leaked

You look amazing!! I have had my implants for 1 year now and I’m so itchy underneath my right side breast like I have stitches inside and I’m constantly trying to scratch underneath till it hurts and I have to take a Benadryl just to try and control the itching but it never does . My right breast also has moved down more then my left and when I sit on my recliner I can see my right breast falls even more to the side and I have been having a lot of shoulder pain and arm pain. I’m so tired and I’m so sad that I have to take these out :( thank you for sharing I feel better knowing you had the same symptoms and I feel like I have Stitches and they’re like you did hopefully my doctor can see what’s going on and maybe not have to take my breast out but if she does oh well it was nice while I had them.

Okay I know you prob. Don’t want to discuss this on YT but as a nurse you really should consider legal action. The more I think about it, I think the surgeon could have made a mistake (he’s human, unfortunately as many checklists that we use in the OR-mistakes happen) and used the wrong sutures…. I don’t mean to overstep just wanted to share my thoughts. Cuidate 💕
