Hi everyone! Which other scene from this movie would you like to see?
the ghostbusters 2 baby carriage scene with ecto 1 driving
Me: 😇😇 Thanks for the lyrics and captions!!!
The Statue of Liberty
did you know there is a draft.. they plan to use the hindenburg with flaming skeletons..
Ghostbusters Ich bin @@Ghostbustersfan64513
The fur coat coming alive was a custom-built combination of puppetry and animatronic robotics similar to what Jim Henson and his teams had worked on. For something that was only on screen for like, five seconds, it was really awesome. I hope it has been preserved somehow all these years later.
It used to freak the hell out of me as a kid, along with the bathtub monster and the heads on spikes in the abandoned railroad tunnel. Pretty good work all around.
I honestly would wear that jacket for halloween if they made a costume for it.
Love how the titanic ghosts are just casually unboarding at their intended destination, with baggage handlers. Scared the hell out of me back in the day though.
Because Captain Smith was going to retire after Titanic’s maiden voyage, he’d probably ascend to the afterlife.
I hope they all got heavily compensated for that 77 year delay.
The first and second one have some disturbing and bloody scene than the third and now fourth part. Don't forget, Ivan Reitman's movies was not suitable for younger children under 13.
Imagine being a dock superintendent going on your rounds then see the titanic arrive, and five minutes later see the Statue Of Liberty walk on its own
Foe me, I think it's time to find another job lol
Too much LSD
Imagine though
I’m putting that in my resume
As an Autistic person who goes to a special needs school I’ve seen things you will never believe so being a dock supervisor watching everything unfold will be your average Monday morning for me.
Those police on the phones had a night they'll never forget.
Ya, poor police never got a break they had call after call after call.
Police Officer: Look, lady, of course there are dead people there. It's a cemetery! They were asking you for directions?
(this part was in the original script and the novelization. Don't know why they took it out.)
@@XXLSSBBW I seem to recall a brief scene from the novelization where a police officer on the beat rags on a Guardian Angel he sees running from something, asking him what could possibly scare him. The GA tells him to "look back that way". The officer does so, sees the ghosts, and catches up with the GA and passes him in two blocks.
@@erichinkle7347 There was this two scenes I remember seeing once and NEVER have been able to see them again.
It was when Dana Barrett went to the museum to get Oscar back. She's walking through the hallway and the camera is focused on this wall. You see Dana walk in front of it and pass when suddenly some slime comes oozing out of the wall. She stops and turns around. The slime sucks itself back from where it came before she sees it. Next the camera is focused on the ceiling and you hear Dana's footsteps get closer and closer. Again the slime comes oozing out. She stops and turns around and catches just a glimpse of the slime before it ooze's back.
@@XXLSSBBW I can't even remember those scenes. I may need to watch this movie again.
Bet you didn't know this, but the very first shot showing the slime flowing through a crevice is actually part of a scene that was cut from The Blob (1988).
That's awesome! That scene always grabbed my attention, the focus zoomed in and how short it is made it feel different for some reason, that and the slime looks much better random lol
The folks running out of the movie theater with the slime dripping everywhere is also a reference to The Blob
Jack Dawson: "Hello, I'm looking for Rose. Is she still here?"
But imagine your ancestors who was supposed to arrive that day, appeared as a ghost in front of you. Creepy...😖😱
No doubt if this came after the movie he would of had a cameo lmao
The Titanic just arrived. Well, better late than never. XD
I'm almost 40 years old that scene with the Titanic still creeps me out they nailed that one
did you know there s a draft with the himdenburg and flaming skeletons? google search "ghostbusters hindenburg"
those dock supervisors had an oddly casual and calm attitude after seeing that a ship that was destroyed 80 years ago just arrived with all crew and passengers as ghosts
That better late than never joke is too good 😅
Titanic part is impressive, epic and damn scary at the same time !! love this part and love this movie ! 😁😍
There is a draft if the hindenburg never used, google search "ghostbusters hindenburg"
I totally agree
I adore the song in this scene “flip city”
Ever since I was a kid I loved both films but Ghostbusters 2 more for one reason or another. This scene is fantastic just like the ‘84 ghost invasion
I remember my parents took me to see this in theaters when I was 6 years old. One of the best days of my life.
That titanic scene always scared the shit outta me 😅
In an alternate Ghostbusters era, in the 2010s, an old lady missed a humanoid mist that quickly fell and hit next to her as 2 heavily broken towers glow in the skyline, along with a ghastly plane.
In the original script, they were going to have the Hindenburg land with burning ghosts disembarking.
The coat turning back into live weasels was pretty creative and cool.
And the Titanic scene was pretty creepy too.
No doubt if this movie came out after the 1997 Titanic movie, there would’ve been at least one reference.
Minks
@@jonwoodmass2849 right. Still a type of weasel. Mustelid family.
Jack as a ghost
The Purple Goo is an homage to The Blob(1958). The gritty, violent 1988 remake of The Blob was underrated.
Fun-fact: Cannibal Girls was Ivan Reitman's first movie.
I Gotta see that Movie.
@@shawnswint1521 Gonna see it twice?😃😃
Another fun-fact I just read about. That slime at the beginning is unused footage from Chuck Russell's The Blob.
I honestly think this scene is better than the "ghost invasion" scene from the first Ghostbusters.
1:20 now, there's something you don't see everyday
0:50 I remember as a kid seeing that big ghost (what I could describe as a Troll or Goblin) and my jaw hitting the floor.
It's interesting how they portrayed the titanic as if the iceberg ripped a massive chunk of the hull away when in reality, it was multiple, tiny tears scraped away, plus the actual ship was torn in two pieces. At first, i thought that this movie may have come out before it's rediscovery, however the movie came out 4 years after, so chances are there was still some debate on how it hit the iceberg
The titanic was also supposed to dock at pier 59. (As a side note, the ship that rescued the passengers? The Carpathia, which docked at 54. Now where was this movie’s villain from again?)
Maybe the ghosts put it back together the best they could?
While the chunk of the hull part is inaccurate as hell, I think it makes sense for the titanic to sail, the ghosts had the ship to mend the ships two broken piece together as another commenter theorized
the ghost are looking at the city that never sleeps now thanks to you
I think the actual model they used for the movie actually showed signs that it had broken in half but you couldn’t see it due to perspective.
0:49 Fun Fact: Legendary Stop Motion Artist Phil Tippett Designed the Washington Square Ghost Creature. Though he Didn't want Any Screen Credit for his Work.
well his work is proudly displayed on screen. shame he didn't want credit.
@@GladDestronger Yep. Though the Washington Square Ghost Here Reminds me of The Dark Overlord from ''Howard the Duck''. Another Film that Mr. Tippett Worked on.
@@shawnswint1521 The Washington Square Ghost reminds of that monster in the movie
Monster In The Closet.
I heard it was a castoff Rancor puppet from Return of the Jedi.
I thought he was cute. He is like a child in the park asking can someone be his friend and play. 😅
“Dave’s not here, man! Dave’s running!!”
1:17 I'll bet audiences everywhere were like: "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?"
fwiw they got the dock wrong. Titanic was due to come in at pier 54. You can still see the faded "White Star Line" to this day written on it
Some say 54 a lot of sources say 59, and that the carpathia docked at 54 to disembark the survivors.. would like to find a good reliable source for this info
I freaking love RUclips....this is definitely one of my favorite childhood movies.
0:57 Wait... Isn't this in New York? Where the Museum of Natural History is? A T rex skeleton... Maybe he likes to play fetch.
Uh i know the reference, night at the museum.
@@MitchEXE-vs8ek Nah, it's going to chase around a half-Japanese female police detective, as a distraction for a biological entity of hyper-advanced evolution.
"Somebody get me the Ghostbusters!"
Haha Summbaady gedmme da Ghostbustas😅
When this goes on you gotta think how much the city needs the guys.
I bursted out laughing when I saw Titanic!
I don't think that woman with the fur coat should have stepped in the slime.
yeah, that was gross
She didn't notice when step on it.
Prolly not her best idea, no. :P
1:24 cheech Marin is that you?
Well, better late ever. 😐😐😐😐
Better late than never from East LA
See what no one knew at the time was this wasn't actually part of the movie, this was a completely normal day in NYC.
Jack goes to see rose as a ghost 💀
She'd be.. what.. 95? Yeah, I think that would send her to the Afterlife from a heart attack.
Wonder what the hell inspired that...thing that came out of the theater and the big ghost.
The guys at the docks must’ve sounded like druggies when they said the titanic arrive and the statue of liberty was walking
Well, one of them was Cheech Marin, so...
I especially loved the Titanic part!
Especially the joke the Dock Supervisor made.
Imagine that slime on Sesame Street
There no Sesame Street in New York.
Imagine that slime in The Bronx
@@baotrannguyenngoc9964 'Course there is! It's one second out of synch, that's all. A fold in reality.
Eugene Levy's name at the movie theatre cracked me up
The fur coats seek revenge everybody ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!!!!!!!!!!
For kill them and make their fur into fashion.
Someone recently aptly noted that .. Vigo in this movie was a Carpathian .. the Titanic survivors were rescued by the ship RMS Carpathia.
I’ll bet Nadeeme’s Grandma captured as many ghost as possible.
When I say BREAK LOOSE….. I mean it!! 😂😂😂👑🤲🏽
The most epic part of the movie. Today's movies just don't have this kind of stuff.
Damn if this happened toady…… talk about Mass Hysteria
"Sorry what was chasing you in the public toliets? One of the toliets was chasing you?" Who agrees with me that should have been in this film?
Happy Halloween 🎃 0:16 0:16
A Latino based Ghostbuster flick would sell! Just imagine all the ideas.
Juan *Suiting up to fight Ghost in San Antonio* : "Who you gonna call"
Juan's Mom: "Aye Dios Mio" *Crosses herself
I am Latino btw.
It would go crazy bro ☠️ kids had there fun now it the Latino turns☠️🗿
@@TheAllMightyDestoroyah RIGHT ON MY DUDE! imagine a death defying effort amongst Latino Ghostbusters!!!, imagine them fighting inside the Menger/Tower of Americas, and the sidekicks fighting the lower ghosts In Alamo Plaza, whilst their moms are praying their rosaries at LA Villita! The Humor writes itself
The Ghostbusters car would be a lowrider with one of those small chain steering wheels. Imagine seeing that bouncing down the street.
@@markv1274 YES!!!!! WE could have a cholo Ghostbuster! One Who doesn't know the science but knows the history of city that they are busting ghost, and could get the homies to help the the Ghostbusters out!
Juan Silvas: Parapsychologist, Main hero
Erik Lopez: Engineer, Makes all weapons
Steph Wright: Physicist, determines the containment unit
Jack Lopez: Homeboy from the hood that knows all history, brother of Erik, and rallies the other homeboys to help the Latino ghostbusters.
Can you imagine the dialog "iChinga su madre carbon!. iNo makes guey! iDame su quete vato!"
I thought the mink coat was the best part.
something so satisfying about watching the slime come up through the steel grating
I'd like to see a couple of the ghosts that appeared in Ghostbusters II and Ghostbusters: Afterlife appear in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire soon on March 22, 2024, like the movie theater ghost and the bug-eye ghost for example.
Bug eye was in in afterlife
@@jonwoodmass2849 I know, I've seen the film myself.
This is why we need heroes like the Ghostbusters, the Winchesters and Dead Boy Detectives
Always call The Ghostbusters when there’s something strange in the neighborhood!
The coat was actually made from animals?! I thought it was just synthetic or ghost of plastic will come.😂 And Titanic line from ghost point: "It was a little longer than I thought." 😂
Apparently there is a scene that was cut from the remake of The Blob that was used in this movie.
something very asmr satisfying of the way that slime comes through that steel grating at 0:19
Loved these ghosts way better than the first movie. It makes me wonder if these were ever considered for episodes in the cartoon.
Lol the Titanic part always got me laughing.
The park bench was chasing you?
I love the invasion scenes
This is for me the scariest part in the movie. Music fits the scene
One of my favorite parts of this movie when I was a kid
I wish these ghosts in this movie were in the anniversary video game. I would’ve loved to blast Vigo after years of giving me nightmares. Oh well, here is to a sequel.
'least he was there at the firehouse for you to annoy nonstop.
@@marianoyuba3736
It’s not the same. Plus they never do explain what he is doing in there.
This movie has all the feels!
Nice to see this is back on RUclips, pretty sure this got copyright claimed for a couple years and was impossible to find
Glenn Frey's soundtrack, After watching this scene several times and also in the bathtub, I became aware of the detail, I think that the products of these special effects must have copied or used the same ones from the 1988 film "The Blob", which, by the way, was released a year before this film.
0:01 that’s one amazing practical/miniature effect of slime!
0:52min Rancor from Star Wars =D
Ghost apocalypse!
I had no idea what the Titanic was when I saw this as a kid, I ended up asking my best friend's mother if she remembered it sinking 😂😂😂 She was so embarrassed because she thought I was calling her old.
Well at least the ghosts aren’t stuck in the sea no more lol
Fun Fact: The first shot was actually used in The Blob 1988. (The one where the blob melts people alive as it digests them.)
Me: 😱😱 Flip City, Spookiest Song Ever!!!
The director should have taken an extra ten seconds to show more of the Titanic model.
in the original script the ghost ask themselves where they are meanwhile some pass trough each other in the background
This is my favorite ghost busters movie mainly because we get to see more ghost busting. And then wakey stuff like this
I’m here and excited about Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Back in New York baby 😊😊😊😊
0:52 That Roar
1:17 Cheech: 😧 well… better late than ever

Me seeing the ghost of Titanic and the ghost of the people who lost their lives.
Me: "Oh yes. I remember the tragic tale of Titanic."
1:17 is it just me or does that guy look like Boris Johnson? Does anyone know this actor's name?
The fact that the Dock worker is Cheech Marin…
I like is fantastic 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
All million people calling the polices the ghosts and river of slime are take over the new York!
Just your average day in New York City.
Honestly I think the ghost invasion here is better then the one from the first movie
As a kid I always thought the coat animals were dancing to the song when they ran away lol
Awesome

The titanic scene really creeped anf still creeps me out...out of the whole movie thus moment shocks me, to how real it feels
When you look back on movies like this, when u see a ghost

Who says this movie is better than the new one?👍🏻
1:19, and i thought that the Titanic was haunted
I don't feel scared about the titanic part, I would be sad for the people who died during the sinking of titanic due to hypothermia. I would start to remember what happened to Titanic
@0:32 That Vegan Teacher's wet dream
911: hello may I help you?
Caller: Yes! I was walking by Avenue Park by the 42 Street! When I saw hundreds of rats coming out of the sewers! Man these little suckers are squealing out of their minds like something is scaring them out from their underground kingdom!
911: Sir you mean to call me over some vermin?
Caller: Well the rats weren’t what I was calling about. It’s what came after the rats left!
When the last of the rats left, there came this pinky slimy stuff that just crawled out of the sewers! And it’s. It’s like it’s alive because it’s crawling up to the great statues of the Three Horsemen!
911: Uh huh. This slime came after the rats, its crawling. And uh what is the slime doing to the statues right now?
Caller: Well it- OH MY GOD!! The statues are coming alive!!!
Who wants to be a Ghostbuster?!!!!!!!!!!!
1:14 he says Titanic just arrive
This is 80s Fuel at Best. The New GB didnt come close to this masterpiece. Bobby Brown and Ray Parker Music Carried this movie to awesome Heights
