Freddie and Monika…Awesome videos! That little fiat needs a recording of it going up to 200000 miles. All this is better than any normal tv channels. Take care you two. Loving it :)
Love the feelings with Italy. Was there with my Moto Guzzy California 2 1985mod. In 1986.87.And1988.Italia never leaves my head.Always want to go back. 🙂👍
That ferry is terrific value…imagine if that was a UK trip…it would cost a fortune lol. Loving theses videos and the weather looks great…unlike here in the UK…just woke up to the first frost 🥶Stay safe you two 👍🇬🇧
While you guys tour Europe I moved myself and some belongings by car from New York city to New Hampshire. A mere 6.5 hours drive. All the while thinking about those crazy miles of travel by Freddie and Monika. Next project: fit a hitch to the car and pick up a trailer and a new bike!
We were really happy to welcome you in Italy, come back whenever you want: I think you would love a moto tour on the tuscanian hills, or a visit to the motor industrial circuits of Modena and Turin :)
If i was a lottery winner the French riviera is where I would live. In 2005 I travelled from northern Italian lakes by yamaha fj1200 and all along that southern coast to Spain. Out of season in October we found some beautiful hotels just like yours for very reasonable money. Wish u had a tv series it knocks the rubbish out of bbc
I love the little map graphic you guys have added in that shows where you're going as you're describing the route. Great inclusion, it really gives the locations and the distance some context.
Thanks Robert! I cannot believe that in a month, the Fiat will hit 200k!!! I genuinely never question its reliability- I just know it will start first time, every time
Great trip Freddie and Monika, Many years ago I and a couple of pal’s took a ferry from .Heraklion in Crete to Ancona in Italy. Three days on the ship without a cabin, but well worth it! Have taken the ferry to Mallorca many times from Barcelona. That’s a peach. Load on at 10.00 pm cabin. Get gazeboed in the bar, cabin, and dock in Palma at 8.00am the next morning. The Island is amazing for biking. Palma to st.elm. Then head up north through the mountains .
That island was probably Elba, famous for being the first island Napoleon was sent to. The big tanker is a crude oil tanker called Pacific Jade, the two smaller ones were a chemical tanker and an LPG tanker. All seem to be held up for a few days trying to get into Livorno.
Great value ferry. Neat hotel in Cannes. 47 GBP! Bargain. They have a bit of the English in them in northern France. I have had the same positive experience of the French in the south. The Triumph's looking well. 220 GBP is a lot for breadown cover. I remember I always got it in with my insurance on the bike. It covered everywhere in western Europe. Another professional video.
That's the way to do it! Strangely my ladies first overnight ferry this year too, finally persuaded het to join me on the donkey miles. Really enjoying this trip. Thanks for sharing Happy, safe travels 👍
We drove from Hamburg to Warsaw and Hamburg to Bournemouth during the summer. I love driving through Europe and will definitely doing another trip next year.
Another super video Freddie. Seeing Italy, France and Spain and the ease of travel it makes me so very sad that we (the UK) have voted to seperate from our European neighbours in the disaster that is Brexit. Looking forward to seeing the next one. Thanks for sharing your trip, beautifully filmed, presented and edited
I feel the same way, i wish it never happened and we never left! It made travelling worse, especially with my dog! We were united and now insignificant...... Disaster!
What a journey. Relaxing vibe, great views, wonderful accommodations. Nice work Sir Freddie and Ma'am Monica. Looking forward for your next content soon. Keep safe and God bless to both of you 🙏☝️
Since watching this week's episode, I can't stop replaying Mr Saxophone's tune over and over in my head. It's beginning to drive me crazy. I wonder if he's playing, Billy Idol's, Eyes Without a Face?..
That ferry is a great idea to get to Sicily. There you go again Freddie being over confident about breaking down 😁 It's like insurance you never need it till you need it, best to pay and waste it than not and regret it. Glad you both got there without any hiccups, can't wait to see the Barcelona videos, a place I've been to a few times and love. I do love travelling through Europe it's so easy.
Another good road trip, amazed at the little fiat ! What a trooper. Someone needs to buy you socks though 😂 end up with stinky shoes mate ! Only joking. Safe journeys !
Been to Livorno many times, as when I was a navigational officer on a major cruise line. It is a great base to explore nearby Pisa and Florence, both beautiful cities! Btw get the poor Fiat washed, it deserves it at least, as it seems every pigeon in Italy has had a dump on it...
I would’ve liked to explore the area (especially Pisa). I think I parked the Fiat under a gigantic bird’s nest😆 Next week it’ll all be cleaned and serviced👌🏻
Aloha Freddie &Miss Monika🤙🏽🤙🏻OMG I’ve watched all your videos and they’ve been just raging, Europe is a journey that shouldn’t be missed on a Harley Davidson ✌️😂just joking ol’boy. I live in the north of Catalonia, 1,5h from Barcelona, near the sea and the mountains. If you come to Costa Brava I can recommend some beautiful routes in amazing roads and why not, get to know each other. Stay safe.
Another great video, puts my amateurish efforts to shame. I get the time and mileage saving by taking the ferry but you miss out on so much, The Amalfi coast, Salerno, Pompeii, Naples and Pisa is worth a look that may be above Livorno tbh but these are just a few of the places I stopped at on my way South on the Honda and coming North the Tuscan countryside is spectacular. Looking forward to the next instalment already.
Baking hot at 28 degrees, 😂. Don’t come to Australia in December, January or February where temperatures can be 40+ for days in a row. You may end up either burnt to a crisp or a melted pool
We just survived the ferrie from Livorno to Olbia (Sardinia). That was a complete desaster: dirty, rusty, and full of what dogs leave behind. Interesting who different ferrys can be or can be seen by people. Sardinie by the way seems to be a Mekka for bikers: we've seen a lot of them even on the bumby roads. There is a region in Germany called the "Eifel" which is full of bikers from here and the Netherlands. So if you ever like to travel somewhere in Europe apart from Spain, France and Italy that might be an idea.
Great video, very informative. If you get a chance, it is quite a long way from Barcelona, go to Algodonales. (Spanish for Cotton Dales). It is a beautifully white Spanish town with fantastic scenery and wonderful roads to ride a motorcycle on. Algo, is also dirt cheap. A meal can be had for less than €10 and a beer in a restaurant is just €1.20 €1.50. Coffee is €1.50 as well. Algo is also the paragliding capital of Spain. You can drive to the top of Mount Lijar and watch them take off into the sunset. Also visit a town called El Bosque, there is an old restaurant full of memorabilia such as cigarette machines and duke boxes. The owner also has three or four old Renault Dakar cars from the 70s parked outside on display. Not to be missed. Have fun.
Freddie and Monika, loving your adventures (all of them), great info, great music and great videography. Did I miss it or are you getting the Fiat serviced in northern Italy before heading to Spain? Interested to know costs compared to UK. Hope the Fiat had/will get a clean bill of health. 😎
Another great video!!!..you guys are so lucky that you get to go on these great adventures...some of us here in the US ca only dream of trips like yours...Looking forward to the next!!..
Hi there sorry that i did not meet up with you but I saw that the ship would arrive early in the morning. That place could be Elba it dipends on how far was it from Livorno.
Wow, you are in Barcelona for one month! So, if you need any ideas or help, just let me know. I live on the outskirts and would be very lucky to give you a hint or hand.
WOW! Nearly missed this one. I wondered the same as you Freddie as we cruised down the west coast of Italy, what are all these inhabited island called, didn't realise there were so many.
Brilliant as always. I see the Fiat is nearing 200k miles. I hope you're going to do a video celebrating the big roll-over and tell us a little more about the car's story in your ownership.
Just wondered if there were a direct ferry from Palermo to Barcelona which might have knowed a few hundred miles off but I suppose it's not so much the arrival it's getting there!

I didn’t see it getting its Italian service😁. Its an incredible faithful little bug
So many islands there. Could it have been Elba? Napoleon?
