I own both and both are great rifles but my personal preference is the Bushmaster, it just seems to be a better built rifle and don't run an optic on either so I prefer the A2 sight picture on the Bushmaster
IF YOU'RE GOING TO WAR, FOR WEEKEND PLINKERS, M&P WILL DO JUST FINE ALSO, FIT AND FINNISH ON THE M&P IS VERY NICE FOR WHAT YOU ARE GETTING ALSO. AH WHAT THE HELL, BUY BOTH, GET A COLT WHILE YOU'RE AT IT.😏😉👉
Im a vet. I've owned both weapon. The M&P is a starter. Cheap good. But the Bushmaster is a great weapon. I still own and the close next to Colt since I leave the military.. never had a problem with my Bushmasters with over 2000 rounds thru one
I personally prefer the Bushmaster patrolman’s Carbine A2... I’m old school and prefer the permanently attached carry handle. It’s as close to an XM4 as you can get. Simple and easy...
I ended up getting a Bushmaster Modular Carbine back when Windham was putting these together. Everything on this gun is Yankee Hill Machine, INC parts and even the Sights were YHM.
I love my M&P 15 Sport 2! Just had it at the range this past Sunday and she shot great. Trigger had a good reset to. No experience with the Bushmaster yet, but it looks pretty cool. How does it shoot?
I was the Chief of my old police department and I am a shooter. I bought Bushmasters for my PD. I retired and became a school resource officer for my retirement PD. They got a deal on Smith's to replace the old Colts. They had faith in the Colts. The Smiths aren't Colts. The Smiths aren't Bushmasters. They are okay but they are civilian guns with trendy fittings. A stock M4 or HBAR is the way to go for SHTF.
My Bushmaster is used, integral carry handle, love the weight of a well built firearm, and full non adjustable stock like the M-16, out the door for $525. My brand new Sport II had some light primer strikes and my used Bushmaster still beats the Bush. Love them both, but I love used Bush! Maybe sloppy seconds are better than inexperienced firsts!
Bushmaster. Same reason I got my Del-Tons over the Smith. Its mil spec. Not proprietary. Also I wanted a HBar mid length, not a standard barrel carbine length. Having said that, my family all have Smiths and the Smith is a good rifle but it is not what I want in an M4. I run a carry handle iron sights on my Del-Ton M4 also rather than an optic. I have a Primary Arms 5x Prism ACSS reticle optic (it has a built in range finder in the reticle) that I can drop on the M4 rail anytime I want but I prefer the carry handle with the BDC dial to the optic. Thanks for sharing.
@@CRSFirearms Have not shot a Radical but if its truly mil spec then it should run. DPMS seems to run about the same but some of the parts are cheaper and they cut corners on their cheapest AR so it won't have as long of life as others. Let me ask you a question. Would a company claiming that its AR is mil spec but cuts corners with cheaper parts that really are not mil spec (out of spec), is that AR really mil spec? I think not. BCA might be in the same camp. I have seen video of some that turned out good and others that did not. At least with Del-Ton, PSA, Windham, Bushmaster, Anderson, Rock River Arms, among some others you pretty much know you are getting true mil spec because they give you the specs up front.
I have a bushmaster XM-15 A3 patrolman’s carbine w/quad-rail! I love this rifle! I would like you to do a review on that if possible. The barrel spin off on my particular rifle is about 1.9.
both are fine rifles.chose bushmaster because i wanted A2 carry handle and sights.it would have cost me around 150$ extra for an A2 carry handle worth having if i had chosen the smith and wesson.
I have the M&P 15. I only took it to the range 2 times before I replaced the barrel with a SS .223 wild barrel. It was shooting about 1.5 moa @ 100 yards before I changed the barrel.
This is probably the third time I've watched this video. I finally checked. My Academy Huntsville, Al Bushmaster XM-15 E2S has the AR-15 bolt and a little play. I have never had issues though. I've always thought it was a good rifle. It's my one and only but I chose it out of 6-7 others, including a Colt for $200 more, which is how I should have gone since I changed out all of the furniture for a added price of $125 but hell, I probably would have changed the colt furniture as well. It was just an ugly flat top. Just what I needed.
The very first series of the m&p 15A? Was made by stagg under s&w? Correct me if im wrong. Anyways if you got an m&p in 2006 or 2007 before the sport stuff came around it is a civi M4. I have one I love it. Got it in 2006 went into the Army in 2007 so it gave me a huge advantage. 50% of those dudes never fired a gun until then lol. Good times 100%! 🎉
M&P is a half assed attempt at an M4 carbine while the A3 is virtually milspec - Hence "A3" in the name. Now if you don't care about all that then the M&P is a fine AR for the price, However anyone considering picking one up for the savings I implore you to look at the Ruger AR556, I owned both (still have Ruger) and I'm telling you the Ruger edges the M&P all around. Now concerning the Bushmaster A3. If you want to go ultra Military classic they offer a Bushmaster M4A2 with the built in carry handle and it is A sweet fkn AR and the prices on these cannot be beat for what you get.
I have the early M4A2 version and the lower is manufacturdd by the original company. I wonder if the quality is the same after Remington bought the original company.
On the lower I really don’t think there’s a whole lot that changes for quality 7075 and all put together properly On the upper I feel the quality has improved
I own both. I paid $900 for a Bushmaster A3M4 in 2004 and I paid $459 for a S&W MP15 sport 3 with a rifle bad and magazine loader ($100 for both included in the $459). For the price and performance I'll take the S&W MP 15 sport 2. It took 840 rounds to melt down the barrel and only because the plastic handguard caught fire and caused an issue with the gas block and gas tube. The colt has 40years behind the M4 and cost around $1900. How does the barrel melt down compare. 840 rounds for $459 plus bag and magazine loader. You can only build M4 so cheap and still out perform the competition. Check out the RUclips videos before buying your M4. Unless you have a ton of money and don't care where your dollars go. The Bushmaster is also outstanding at $900.
The messed up thing is I preferred the S&W....then spent the 150 bucks I saved on the after market carry handle rear sight because that's what the Corps taught me how to use....meh.......we each have a path for our own steps alone I guess.
M16 bolt carrier on the Bushmaster? Since when? I have one from 2012 and one from 2014 and they have the same bolt carrier as the M&P you showed. They are both the XM15-E2S version like you are showing.
M-16 bolt is slightly heavier slowing down your carrier speed just a touch giving you a longer lock up time Other than that it keep the door open for a 3 spot on your selector
CRS Firearms oh wow that's interesting. Ya for the AKs you run into the forging problems, such as either the trigger hammer is harder than the carrier, or the carrier is harder than the trigger. Other than that you just feed them bullets and they go down the pipe. So much to learn about these ARs
I would pick Bush master why because in my opinion it better made and it proven it self more over Smith. I had a Smith sport 2 it was ok but did not feel the quality like bet my life with it. Had an older Bush master before had no issues well built I know Remington took the Bush master over but they still seam like they made well. People talk crap on them but I wouldn't stop you from buying one check it out for your self. People tend to be ar snobs. It has to be bcm or some fancy gun. No it don't just make sure everything is made to spec you be fine. I had bcm rifle it shot a little smother but you can make any ar15 do that my bcm after time still got the space problem between the upper and lower. I ended up selling my bcm needed money and that was only thing worth anything at the time. Looking for another ar15 not going to get a high end fancy one I'm just going to go colt or Bush master if I want to make it a little better all I got to do is buy the parts and upgrade it not little by little not a big deal.
I don’t think you understand what a mechanical zero is Say for example I bought a brand new ar15a2 I would start with a mechanical zero because that would be most likely to get me on paper After you have achieved your mechanical zero you zero your firearm by making small corrections with your front pin and your windage and up zeroing you at 25 m which will get you very close at 300 m Then you go to 300 m and adjust and confirm your zero after you of achieve this You were zeroed for 25 and 300 m Know if you flip to the big aperture you are zeroed for 200 m Now if you flip to the small aperture you are zeroed for 300 400 500 600 and on some rifles 7 and 800 m which those zeros are marked out on your bottom drum So with a quick flip of the site from big to small aperture or a span of your drum your point of aim point of impact at any range
I just bought a bushmaster today 12/2/18 haven't used it yet but when I do next weekend I'm sure I will love it. Also i believe i will just run 223 Remington for now the cost less
I own the colt AR15A2, Ruger's AR, Bushmaster Carbon 15, and Bushmaster Patrolman. The best one is the Colt, then the Patrolman, then the Ruger. The Carbon 15 shoots well, just feels cheap. I don't have any S&W AR's just not a fan of them.
@@CRSFirearms and I didn't mean it in a smart-ass way that's why I hate comments and text you can't tell how someone means what they're saying great video by the way just letting you know I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass
I have a Bushmaster MOE carbine that I've upgraded a bunch. The one thing that annoys me is that mine did come with the "Liberal appeasement AR15 bolt carrier", like was said in this video. Would it be worth the couple hundred dollars to get an aftermarket bolt carrier group, or is the one I have fine?
I'll take a "Maine Bushmaster" over the "NY" Bushamaster any day. The "NY" Bushmaster is very spotty in quality, being owned by the Freedom group.....Now, if you want early "Maine" Bushmaster quality, get yourself a Windham Weaponry rifle. Those are built in the same early factory and original "qualified" employees called back to give the people what they want.
+KevlarKev oh it is I really like that firearm and it's lighter and at a phenomenal price point No matter what rifle you pick I think you're good to go
These two are kind of near each other in price range. But now I'm thinking, one of these two? Or save up a few checks for an H&K variant? Wanting something that will last.
I've been seeing the Bushmaster XR-15 going for about $500 on some gunbroker vendors. This seems like a crazy value with the specs you mention. Only AR I've fired so far was a Class III, Close Quarter Battle Receiver several years back. Nothing like being introduced to the gun world than playing with a fun switch!!
I have not found an AR where you get more quality for cheaper I actually picked one up and did some testing here’s a link to the playlist if you would like to check it out As you pay more for other ARs you still get the same exact quality just a different name The Harvester ruclips.net/p/PLmvN1PNSpVlqWNbelmRk1_gA-9ah15ks8
hey matt love your videos, i shoot a ruger ar 556 any thoughts or comparisons that you have done with the bushmaster? kind of tricked mine up with a geissele trigger and a sharps rifle nickle boron bcg
Most of your opinions in this video are about the stock features of the guns. If you're getting an AR15, you should be planning on modding it anyway. And for that, you should go with the M&P Sport 2, and then buy cheap after market products to upgrade it over time. M&P Sport 2 has my vote.
The sport 2 Is a great firearm especially for the price and the quality of manufacturing consistently they land into my hands with no blends or no mistakes on them The real difference between the two the one that really matters is the barrel 4140vs4150 Nitrate vs Crome line
@@CRSFirearms You can also swap out the barrel, too. Plus, a 1/9 twist is only a fraction of a difference, and I've still yet to see anything about it actually mattering in terms of accuracy.
No need to swap out the barrels the sport two has a pretty decent barrel to actually need the better stealing chrome lining you would have to be pushing your AR 15 where beyond what the average person does or want to last for generations of passing down As far as accuracy that comes down to the manufacture not so much twist rate I did a accuracy video series with the bushmaster A2 this is the final one in the series The Best Value AR15 , All The Bells And Whistles For The Cheapest Price ruclips.net/video/fK8aqUfufr0/видео.html
+Major Rager changeover was very very recently , if you got a rifle that was purchased 3-9 ago it will have a semi auto carrier and sometimes even the steel magazine
CRS yea i picked it up last october thats a bummer i was just curious why mine didn't come with one I'm swapping it out with a spikes tactical bcg in the near future cause it won't run steel case ammo for shot with this civi carrier thanks for the info though
I worked in a machine shop that made gun parts for the military for nearly two decades, and at the time (1970's-1990's), a lot of the parts I machined were made of 4140, which was specified on the prints. As a civilian who owns the S&W M&P 15 Sport II, I am not concerned at all about 4140 barrel material and its surface treatment, whether it be called Nitride, Melonite or Armonite. Suffice it to say that the purported cost difference of plus 3% more for 4150 steel for the manufacturer, plus the extra cost of a chrome lined barrel would not justify me spending the extra $100 cost of one particular AR rifle over the M&P. Unless you plan on going to war and shooting thousands of rounds, the average shooter will never know, see nor be able to measure the difference in quality and reliability. To put it plainly, I bought the M&P because of price and acceptable quality. Knowing the barrel material is the same as I used to machine for military gun parts gives me one less concern about M&P barrel quality. Let me ask anyone... how many of you out there have purchased weapons in the past, such as deer rifles, 30-30's or other rifles of higher caliber and have ever asked what the barrels and other parts were made from and the barrel treatments? And how many of those same weapons do you still have that are still working as designed? I would wager most if not all are still operating. So do you know what the barrel material of any of your older weapons is? Chances are you don't. That is my point. Oftentimes, five percent more quality (real or perceived) could well cost you fifty percent more in price.
Very good points I go for maximum quality because I’m not convinced in the future I will be able to purchase them and I’d like to be able to pass it down because it gets shot so much more than my other firearms 3030s etc. i’m more concerned about the quality of materials used in manufacturing Today I could easily replace a barrel I don’t know if my kids will be able to do the same
Ive researched this.. There are vids on RUclips featuring "experts" who say they know without a doubt.. This is a big deal in the AK47 community.. Nitride has been proven to be more durable and accurate.. Thats the what experts are saying anyway. Now if its me buying, Im looking for nitride or melonite. I actually watched a vid that showed both processes. The nitride changes the chemical compounds of the metal.. Chrome is just a lining.. Old school vs new school.. I pick nitride
Good question So what is the point Of nitride ? To offer something similar and Strength cheaper and more environmentally friendly easier to apply IF I can get the barrel for a marginally cheaper price then yes I will look at it but typically it’s similar priced and it’s made out of a lesser steel 4140 instead of 4150 The idea is to get as close to 4150 cmv Chrome lined as possible at the cheapest possible price For example these two rifles that goal was missed they are way too close in price So if the price is even anywhere close I’m going to take the 4150 chrome lined barrel why give myself a lesser quality barrel at a similar price
Nice video man. Lol I've been an AK guy my whole life and am just dipping my toe in the AR water. So I'm looking at both of these rifles as starter. Looking like both are good picks and as of now the Bushmaster is a bit more expensive. Not by much, but I still can't decide if its worth the extra money or am I getting the same quality at a cheaper price? I guess I would like too know what you would do if in my shoes.
CRS Firearms ya I get that. I've been reading the melonite holds up pretty good and I enjoy cleaning my rifles so I don't see much of a difference there. Plus the carrying handle would be gone as I love optics anyways lol. I've just started reading about bcg
Typically a good chrome lined barrel adds about $150 to the cost Melonite is easier and cheaper to manufacture But if you are getting one from a big company like S&W you should not have any problems
Your gun handling is very good except for one thing. You never removed any of the magazines from any of the rifles, nor did you lock the bolt to the rear to show the chamber clear. This is a basic firearm safety procedure when using any firearm to demonstrate, show, or make a point. Please correctr.
I am not going to teach Americans how to "open" the AR-15, but you guys really don´t have to use tools for tough disassemble pins on your guns. Simply, press the stock against your chest by pushing fore grip in that direction - you will make an opposite force to your buffer and the pin will go out with little force, simply by pushing with your finger. Almost all Czech users know this old trick. Sorry for my English.
With Trump in office we have a high change of the NFA, GCA, Hughes Amendment, and '89 import ban being repealed. I hope it'll happen, I would love to mill an M16/M4 lower from one of those 80% lowers. It might even make the 4-way selectors (Safe, Semi, Burst, Auto) come back. I guess we can only hope.
+Corinthian You wouldn't have to the Bushmaster lower is already to spec It's just missing the hole for your auto sear pin so if they repeal the law you can convert it with a handrail selector disconnector auto sear that's like 30 bucks and parts
I hey I wanted to thank you for all your videos I watch them all and I listen to everything you say your the bet and thanks for all your honest answers Have a good knight
I like the m&p from word of mouth and I love everything about it from the way it looks and can shoot being absolutely dirty yeah I did one of them test with my buddy and his gun we shot it all day not 1 Jam I also loveeeee the sheild 9mm single stack 1.0 (just cause I’ve never seen a 2.0 and both I had was the 1.0
My first was the m&p sport 2, looked everywhere for the Bushmaster and couldnt find one so I settled for the ruger mpr. Also I live in the peoples republic of NJ so any ar type rifle costs an extra 100 to 150$ more for compliance work ffs🤦♂️

BUSHMASTER ALL DAY.
IF YOU'RE GOING TO WAR, FOR WEEKEND PLINKERS, M&P WILL DO JUST FINE ALSO, FIT AND FINNISH ON THE M&P IS VERY NICE FOR WHAT YOU ARE GETTING ALSO. AH WHAT THE HELL, BUY BOTH, GET A COLT WHILE YOU'RE AT IT.😏😉👉
JERSEY JOHNBOY just bought me one
get both problem solvedlol iwill admit the a3 is a much smoother shooting rifle then the mp
Im a vet. I've owned both weapon. The M&P is a starter. Cheap good. But the Bushmaster is a great weapon. I still own and the close next to Colt since I leave the military.. never had a problem with my Bushmasters with over 2000 rounds thru one
Bush master all the way. I got one with over 10,000 round with a weaver 2-10X38 scope No complains
Nice
I did a video series on my bushmaster

I personally prefer the Bushmaster patrolman’s Carbine A2... I’m old school and prefer the permanently attached carry handle. It’s as close to an XM4 as you can get. Simple and easy...
Right on me to
Right on me to
I picked up a M&P15 Sport II a little over a year ago now, even before the prices started falling... still no regrets.
I have the bushmaster and love it best hands down
Smith and Wesson vs Bushmaster?
*YES*
I was the Chief of my old police department and I am a shooter. I bought Bushmasters for my PD. I retired and became a school resource officer for my retirement PD. They got a deal on Smith's to replace the old Colts. They had faith in the Colts. The Smiths aren't Colts. The Smiths aren't Bushmasters. They are okay but they are civilian guns with trendy fittings. A stock M4 or HBAR is the way to go for SHTF.
I have both and have absolutely no complaints. Neither brand has ever given me a hiccup and eat what I feed them.
Good feedback thank you
Happy to hear that because I just put one in lay a way today and I'm going to try and get it next Friday
I miss these old comparison videos. I prefer these to the builds and shooting vids…and the rants…and the hangouts.
I own both. Love em both. But my Bushmaster is my favorite 👍
Mine to
Bushmaster no doubt about it. I ran about 3,000 rounds on my bushmaster and still going strong .
Nice excellent feedback
Thank you for sharing I appreciate the comment what do you think of the radical
Very true thank you for the comment
I have a bushmaster XM-15 A3 patrolman’s carbine w/quad-rail! I love this rifle! I would like you to do a review on that if possible. The barrel spin off on my particular rifle is about 1.9.
Wow dude!!! I wanted that same platform but bushmaster discontinued that model. You better hang on to that it is a nice weapon
They are both easy to take apart and replace parts. I own both and have been shooting M16's since 1981!
I have the Bushmaster XM15-E2S. It's reliable, tough, and accurate. Dollar-for-dollar, one of the best, still.
Both well built firearms have both and they’re both great. Both perform great.
Great side by side, thanks for the video. Subscribed
Thanks
Bushmaster all day!! I have one bought it used from my cousin for $500 hasn't let me down yet
both are fine rifles.chose bushmaster because i wanted A2 carry handle and sights.it would have cost me around 150$ extra for an A2 carry handle worth having if i had chosen the smith and wesson.
+Tule Mike totally agree hope to get you as a sub if you're not already
My dude ready for zombie apocalypse lol 😂
I have the M&P 15. I only took it to the range 2 times before I replaced the barrel with a SS .223 wild barrel. It was shooting about 1.5 moa @ 100 yards before I changed the barrel.
1.5 is good
Thank you for the data
The wiggle between the upper and lower on the M&P 15 is negligible. It is about the same as the Colt M4 I had in the Army
when you do need it opened, is no time for a tight lower receiver..
Every M&P 15 I ever fired had a very nice trigger out of the box.
Thank you for the comment
Agreed
I have the early M4A2 version and the lower is manufacturdd by the original company. I wonder if the quality is the same after Remington bought the original company.
On the lower I really don’t think there’s a whole lot that changes for quality
7075 and all put together properly
On the upper I feel the quality has improved
@@Slychau nothing Remington bought stayed the same quality much less in proved. Freedom group destroyed the quality.
Bushmaster hands down.
Emil also agrees. Take the Bushmaster.
M16 bolt carrier on the Bushmaster? Since when? I have one from 2012 and one from 2014 and they have the same bolt carrier as the M&P you showed. They are both the XM15-E2S version like you are showing.
+Skara Brae Man The beginning of 2016 A.R. 15 carriers it was like The end of July maybe 2016 switched over to a P Meg an a M-16 bolt carrier
What's the difference in these bcg? Why is the m16 style better? Lol AK guy here and in those they're all the same.
M-16 bolt is slightly heavier slowing down your carrier speed just a touch giving you a longer lock up time
Other than that it keep the door open for a 3 spot on your selector
Ya I like the bushmaster 4150 cmv Steel Chrome Lined barrel and if you shoot 62 gr Ammo it’s quite accurate

That dial, is not for dialing in the range on the carrying handle. Its for zeroing your rear sight.
Do you do you zero with elevation with the front pin
Do you use the dial under the rear side to dial in range
@@CRSFirearms www.armystudyguide.com/content/army_board_study_guide_topics/m4/mechanically-zeroing-the-.shtml
I don’t think you understand what a mechanical zero is
Say for example I bought a brand new ar15a2 I would start with a mechanical zero because that would be most likely to get me on paper
After you have achieved your mechanical zero you zero your firearm by making small corrections with your front pin and your windage and up zeroing you at 25 m which will get you very close at 300 m
Then you go to 300 m and adjust and confirm your zero after you of achieve this
You were zeroed for 25 and 300 m
Know if you flip to the big aperture you are zeroed for 200 m
Now if you flip to the small aperture you are zeroed for 300 400 500 600 and on some rifles 7 and 800 m which those zeros are marked out on your bottom drum
So with a quick flip of the site from big to small aperture or a span of your drum your point of aim point of impact at any range
I just bought a bushmaster today 12/2/18 haven't used it yet but when I do next weekend I'm sure I will love it. Also i believe i will just run 223 Remington for now the cost less

I'll take a "Maine Bushmaster" over the "NY" Bushamaster any day. hey matt love your videos, i shoot a ruger ar 556 any thoughts or comparisons that you have done with the bushmaster? kind of tricked mine up with a geissele trigger and a sharps rifle nickle boron bcg
Most of your opinions in this video are about the stock features of the guns. If you're getting an AR15, you should be planning on modding it anyway. And for that, you should go with the M&P Sport 2, and then buy cheap after market products to upgrade it over time.
M&P Sport 2 has my vote.
The sport 2 Is a great firearm especially for the price and the quality of manufacturing consistently they land into my hands with no blends or no mistakes on them
The real difference between the two the one that really matters is the barrel 4140vs4150 Nitrate vs Crome line
@@CRSFirearms
You can also swap out the barrel, too. Plus, a 1/9 twist is only a fraction of a difference, and I've still yet to see anything about it actually mattering in terms of accuracy.
No need to swap out the barrels the sport two has a pretty decent barrel to actually need the better stealing chrome lining you would have to be pushing your AR 15 where beyond what the average person does or want to last for generations of passing down
As far as accuracy that comes down to the manufacture not so much twist rate

Whats the price of bushmaster now a day's?
My bushmaster is the same configuration but it's marked xm15 e2s and has the civilian bcg I wish it had come with that full auto bcg
+Major Rager dam I did not know that I wonder if they're all like that
I worked in a machine shop that made gun parts for the military for nearly two decades, and at the time (1970's-1990's), a lot of the parts I machined were made of 4140, which was specified on the prints.
Very good points
I go for maximum quality because I’m not convinced in the future I will be able to purchase them and I’d like to be able to pass it down because it gets shot so much more than my other firearms 3030s etc. i’m more concerned about the quality of materials used in manufacturing
Today I could easily replace a barrel I don’t know if my kids will be able to do the same
Ive researched this..
Thank you for the comment
You will see a price split of about 113 dollars.. that seems pretty exact to me lmao
I have the bushmaster m4 a3. Wanted the bushmaster xm15 m4 a3 it has a rail. Found out that bushmaster doesn't make xm15 m4 a3 anymore that sucks!!!
Any feedback on the new bushmaster sd. looking to get one, any info would be wonderful, Thanks
I got an email about it but that was about it
Most people don't know the trigger guard folds down for gloves
How do you feel about a barrel that has a Nitride treatment (S&W) as apposed to the older chrome-lined (Bushmaster) protection.
Good question
So what is the point Of nitride ?
To offer something similar and Strength cheaper and more environmentally friendly easier to apply
IF I can get the barrel for a marginally cheaper price then yes I will look at it but typically it’s similar priced and it’s made out of a lesser steel 4140 instead of 4150
The idea is to get as close to 4150 cmv Chrome lined as possible at the cheapest possible price
For example these two rifles that goal was missed they are way too close in price So if the price is even anywhere close I’m going to take the 4150 chrome lined barrel why give myself a lesser quality barrel at a similar price
Here's a video m-1 cabine VS lever action 30-30
I'd chose the bushmaster hands down ,better rifle
My thoughts as well

Nice video man. Lol I've been an AK guy my whole life and am just dipping my toe in the AR water. So I'm looking at both of these rifles as starter. Looking like both are good picks and as of now the Bushmaster is a bit more expensive. Not by much, but I still can't decide if its worth the extra money or am I getting the same quality at a cheaper price? I guess I would like too know what you would do if in my shoes.
Aside from the staff mentioned in the video the extra money goes towards a better barrel
Cmv 4150 Chrome lined barrel vs cmv 4140 melonight
CRS Firearms ya I get that. I've been reading the melonite holds up pretty good and I enjoy cleaning my rifles so I don't see much of a difference there. Plus the carrying handle would be gone as I love optics anyways lol. I've just started reading about bcg
Typically a good chrome lined barrel adds about $150 to the cost
Melonite is easier and cheaper to manufacture
But if you are getting one from a big company like S&W you should not have any problems
This is how I feel on the topic it doesn’t mean it’s right but it’s what I think

weird my m&p 15 has a m4 barrel, its an older version i believe.
What happened to the milspec M&P, I have one but I can't seem to find another on anyones channel?
With Trump in office we have a high change of the NFA, GCA, Hughes Amendment, and '89 import ban being repealed. I hope it'll happen, I would love to mill an M16/M4 lower from one of those 80% lowers. It might even make the 4-way selectors (Safe, Semi, Burst, Auto) come back. I guess we can only hope.
+Corinthian You wouldn't have to the Bushmaster lower is already to spec
It's just missing the hole for your auto sear pin so if they repeal the law you can convert it with a handrail selector disconnector auto sear that's like 30 bucks and parts
Lol you still feeling hopefull about all that?
