Nice one, thanks! Extremely beautiful song and even better live performance. "Legend S - Baptism XX" were two back to back concerts held Hiroshima, Su's hometown, to celebrate her 20th birthday on December 2017. This was the first time they performed without Yui and the last time Mikio played with the Kami Band, as you were perfectly told in the chat. There is even a moment when Su sings: "Nidoto ae-nai kedo wasure-naide itai yo. Yume ga tsuzuku nara same-naide." (We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever. If the dream continues, I wish I'll never wake up from it) while the images focus on Mikio. The song is a tribute to X-Japan's "Endless Rain" and debuted back in 2013. Su-metal (being just 15 at the time) wasn't happy with her performance because she was more focused on hitting the correct notes than on conveying emotions. To the point they didn't include it on their first album in 2014. Also, they only performed it live three times before these concerts in late 2017. They performed it again at two of the 10 BABYMETAL Budokan shows in 2021. So, with only seven live performances, this is still one of their statistical oddities (and I love this kind of rarities). I got the Blu-ray. It's amazing and I recommend to buy and watch it. But I've only watched it once (I like to revisit their shows several times). I've watched this "NRNR" performance and the opening with "ITNO" a number of times but the rest of the concert is way too much for me. I just can't. RIP Ko-Gami.
The best Babymetal song for an 80s music/ballad addict like me! There's a fancam of this whole concert on a Japanese video site. It's absolutely surreal. Incredible performance, despite the problems (Yui's first missed concert.) The crowd gets excited when they hear this intro. I wish they'd do this song more live. Su cements her legacy as one of the greats on this song, in my opinion. Although he didn't write the music, (I found almost nothing on the person who did) Kami band guitarist Leda Cygnus wrote the guitar parts and the arrangement. He did a great job with these solos. Though it looks like Mikio and Takayoshi playing on this concert. (Mikio's last concert too) I should note I agree that the solos have a Brian May-esque sound to them. He was featured on that Japanese show where they did the X-Japan song "Endless Rain" that this song is supposed to be based off of. Among a whole bunch of other artists, Su and Moa were also on that same show, except they were there in person.
Although this song may be closer musically to the X Japan song 'Silent Jealousy", the last two lines of 'No Rain, No Rainbow' are: "An endless rain fills my heart. Forever". So the connection is pretty clear.
Never make it past 3:31 without tearing up. Impossible.
Legend-S concert is last concert Babymetal with Mikio Fujioka before he passed away on 5 January 2018 😢😢
Only a true Queen can be that intense, plus that incredible MikiTaka guitar duet...unreached!
BABYMETAL is great ! Suzuka always manages to take me where she wants to take me, and I will follow her until my body perishes.
Su's voice grips our soul.😭
Nice one, thanks!

THAT look he had on his face when the guitar solo began, yeah, it's that powerful. This is still my favorite performance of NRNR.
