    Top tip.
Before you put the floor down. Run some plastic conduit and two lengths of food grade hose pipe from cab bulkhead to the rear doors..
Put a length of paracord inside each piece of conduit.
Then, at a later date, if you want to run extra wires or have water run from a tank to a tap you don't have to lift the flooring up.

Screw lengths of 40mm x 20mm batten at 18inch spacing lengthwise down the floor. Stick patches of dynamat shiny backed sound deadening straight to the sheet metal between the battens. You can then screw your yellow tongue floor boards width ways across the van direct to the battens without making more holes in the metal floor. (Dont forget the conduit and mark on the floor where they run.
Also stick patches of dynamat to each large flat area of flat sheetmetal on the walls and roof.
Your ears will thank you for the soundproofing when you drive in a large hollow drum without a cab bulkhead.

Just a note from a mechanic. Check the service history of your van, check that you 'Wet belt' has been renewed. Normally at around 80,000 miles this would need to be renewed.
Ford, in their wisdom, have decided that a belt submerged in oil would be better than a chain or a conventional 'cam belt'. These do fail and render the engine useless.
Quite an expensive job, and Ford know they've a problem with these belts, and in some cases have renewed under warranty. Please don't ignore this belt, look it up, Google it, RUclips it. It's a good move to do it before it fails.
Keep up the content dude, love seeing Cornwall. MSG me if you need any advice. 👍

If you are just putting a floor straight down you could stick your batons down to the van floor with a PU adhesive ( same stuff they stick car windows in with and sports cars together with ) will save screwing through the body, same with some other stuff you might be fitting. Also plenty of space under the passenger seats for batterys/inverter.

And if you are going to be put in a small cooker in I hope you can put one in with a basic backup system for like an induction hob Oh by the way you was in Falmouth and I know where you was and it was a fantastic location you should pop to Bude and let people know cos we're only about an hour away from

This is exciting to watch and learn from however I would be more concerned about the underbelly of the van first before doing the inside.
Did you take it to a garage and have it over a pit to see what the condition underneath was like ?
I like the size of this van but would worry about mileage, engine and underbelly condition of second hand vans.
One's in good condition are very hard to find especially reasonably priced one's...there's always an expensive catch somewhere.
No good making it beautiful on the inside if the foundations are poor at the start.
I'm learning to avoid pitfalls. 🤔

That’s a good idea. I’ve been underneath it and it looks all good but not taken it to a garage yet

Hi Shaun, its great to see another van build catalogued so, I will be watching closely for tips. We are about half way through our self build (LWB Crafter) but, most of the boring stuff has now been done. Obviously, that includes the floor. If you're wondering how to fix the floor, I think we cover that in episode 3 (or 4) of our build series of vlogs. I'm not suggesting its the only way of fitting it but, it's always good to share ideas. Good luck with it all. Mal, Ruth and Raffy (Campervan Habitude)

Well done bud. I brought my high top transit connect van from a dealer, it’s a 2006 plate and it has 75000 on the clock, it’s my little camper van on wheels and I love it. Looking forward to more of your videos. Xxx
