At least good on camera...What I don't understand is , people watch this and cant be bothered to click like. I really look forward to these on Sunday. Thanks bud.
Your van is really starting to take shape and I love what you have done so far. I really enjoy watching your content. I love the mixture of types of videos. Really looking forward to seeing the build. Oh and the wheels are simply stunning.
Reading is my hometown ❤. If you see hazards when people breaking then they haven't been paying due care and attention to the road, newer cars will automatically trigger the hazards when you do any hard breaking i.e. emergency stop.
TWO things Chief....Look up "Raptor Grill Transit" and the picks on a Transit, boss, also plenty of videos how to get off old one put on Raptor, best is hot water.....Secondly look up "The Last Coat CeraTrim" superb stuff it will bring up your outside trim back to brand new to match your wheels and tyres, and it LASTS....Those two things will put you into Boss mode....I missed the size of tyre you put on KO2 245/75R 16 or KO2 245/70R 16..?
@@LoveSundays Ahhh you're onto it champ, but look up the The Last Coat CeraTrim. Trust me it will bring the old trim back to new..Maybe have to redo once a year depending, but easy to apply and it will make your bus look new..
They're beasts. Good to see you back on the road in the new van for new adventures. Next time you're going past Bristol, if you fancy a coffee let me know 👍🏻
I loved on a gravel road in an area notorious for heavy rain for twelve years. I had Jeeps, Landcruisers, and a variety of vans and i found A/T tyres werent necessary for gravel roads. Also they are rubbish when you have to brake hard on a variable surface. You would be surprised by how far off road you can go with tyres like the Generals. Really its all about the looks though. 😎
Great video again. Six and a half hours from Cornwall to Reading on a bank holiday is about the norm, even on a good run Where I used to work near Redruth to my home near Gatwick was a 5 hour plus without a stop. A cheap meal trick is to buy a sandwich meal deal in Tescos where you get a sarnie, crisps, and a drink for around £3.40 stick the sarnie in the Ridgemonkey for a few minutes and it makes even the most boring Tesco sandwich taste amazing.
I am a coach driver and we and truck drivers put hazards on when traffic comes to a stop on a duel carriage way etc etc ! Play safe .ps nice chunky tyres i have all terrain tyres on my motorbike so I can go anywhere 😊
Love the new wheels Shaun. Really look great on the van. Definitely don't miss the traffic on the motorway... 6.5hrs to Reading is taxing that's for sure. So good to see the little man too 😊
Good vid ! When you do a long journey on a bank holiday it always pays to start out around 3am then you don't get the headache of the traffic ! I always start out at that time when I go to Dorset on a bank holiday 🙂
Welcome to the home counties. The park4night app is generally pretty good round these parts where I found in Cornwall they are adding parking restrictions faster than the app can keep up. One place I stayed on my recent trip to Cornwall I woke up to find fresh yellow lines painted either side of my camper!
Great filming Shaun good idea about the back shelf I have a suggestion do a folding shelf on the other side that would work 👍 them wheels look fantastic changed the look straight away. Glad you got back safe. See you next Sunday 👍
I almost went for Rogue alloys for my T5 but ended up with Fuel Zephyrs. Similar to yours and an absolute nightmare to clean. The tyres I chose were Maxxis Bravo 771 cos I was told the Generals and the BFG are known for bad aquaplaning......so be careful on wet roads 👍🏼
Great video 🎉👍🏽 was a pleasure to meet you and congratulations on your newborn. Enjoy your new wheels and tyres. Wishing yourself and your family the best in the future 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I've a 4WD sprinter and fitted All terrain Goodrich tyres which were great .......initially. However I had to remove them after as after a time and a small amount of use the noise was so bad
Good vlog Shaun, Thank you for taking us with you. The traffic is a sign of the times I'm afraid! But what a fantastic spot for an overnight stop perfect. You will always find things to add to your van, and your wheels are awesome. I'm looking forward to the next vlog! Rgds Alan
The wheels do look spot on mate. But Reading? That’s so far away! From London to St. Ives, I Usually stop in Bristol for lunch and spend the night there. Then the next morning continue down the A30.
what a fab set of 'Boolers'! Those guys were very professional and super friendly. So, yes I also put my hazzards on in a traffic jam. Could see the anxiety in your face when you were talking about not being half an hour away from your family, I guess for the first time of doing so, you would be quite anxious. M4 is notorious for traffic. I always allow a min of 3 hours from Devon to get to Reading. Looking forward to the next vid!
Great video, my Sunday morning go to after I’ve made a brew. Van is really coming along well now. Have you thought about putting drop out vents in the floor for safety?
Question. Who was outside in the rain videoing when you were relieving yourself. How much were the tyres and wheels you didn’t say, what was the road noise like on your return journey.
I got to gauge how big the van is by you using the side door I knew it was bigger but now realise you have plenty of room to put cupboards etc in it. My son used to be like you felt like he couldn't leave the kids now he says to the oldest nanny's for the weekend as she,s a full on 4 year old 😊
Great video Shaun. Something a little different. We are still in the planning stages of our next van, but definitely looking at some nice black wheels with BFG tyres.
I love them wheels. Definitely in now. I was thinking about raising up my t4 and getting some. My van is very slammed so they wouldn't fit at the moment
It goes back to when I was a kid my dad used to call the toilet in the camper van a dunny probably due to the amount of home and away we used to watch in the 80’s/90’s 😂 when I lived in Sydney back in 2012 I called all toilets a sunny just to fit in 😂
qhat a great vvlog.... and yes one thing that i don't miss about living in the uk is the M4 /M5 traffic.... love your Alloys, hope the baby boy loved them too.
Awe! I haven’t caught your videos since your sweet boy was born. Congratulations! 💙 The new van looks nice and it’s got great new shoes on it! 😁 Now, I’m from the States. I’m absolutely floored and interested in that little boating community! People live on those full time?!? THEY ARE SOOOO CUTE! I need more info! 😆
There's lots of channels on youtube of people that live on narrow boats. Two channels i'd highly recommend are called "Cruising on the Border" and also try "Cruising the cut", although David has sold his boat now, he's got hundreds of videos to look at and he still makes videos about other narrow boaters and the canals around the uk. Thanks... Dixie in uk.
Unless it's just perspective it looks as if you'd have better head space if you slept with your head the other end of the bed. Maybe they're the same but it looks higher the side your feet were. Nice you've used the bed & the loo properly, you've done a good job on the van . It'll serve you well for years for all sorts of uses. Didn't notice if you have locking wheel nuts but if not may be a plan with nice wheels like those.
Those wheels are stunning mate really coming together make sure you get some good locking nuts on them mate as there eye catches 😉 catch you next Sunday 👍🏻
Nice scenery you guys have you are lucky to have the canals, we only have mountains and fjords. Van looks great but i see you have not made a kitchen area, maybe one day you do so you don't have to sit on the floor.. 🙃
Totally get where you're coming from, it's quite a pull when you are away from family, I did 4 day's in peak district last September after only vanning in Devon and Cornwall, feels safer and more familiar in our own county's, good stuff and wheels look great
Looking very good Shaun with those wheels & rugged tyres. I was looking for our car on the A30 & the M5 as we were down in Cornwall last week as you know. Can't believe your son is 11 weeks old already, where did that time go mate.
Love the wheels, but going to an bigger wheel size than standard does it affect your speedo? I know when I went to a 18 inch alloy from 16 They recommended a lower profile tyre to keep the overall wheel size the same so didn’t affect the speedo!
The production value on your video’s is excellent with the drone shots and great editing. How much were the wheels and tyres if you don’t mind me asking?
I can honestly say after 4 years of BFG K02's on my 5.4m Ducato, the road noise is negligible. Miles per gallon loss, that's a different story, at least 4 miles per gallon less... easily. The look and performance is well worth it though. The last 4 winters passing through the pyrenees, these tyres have saved me using snow chains.
Weird seeing you in my neck of the woods. I live just outside Swindon but Newbury used to be where we went for a night out back in the 80’s. Plus I was born in Reading. The Kennet & Avon canal. Spent a fair amount of time on that.
Just got it watched 👍🏼👍🏼good video, love the wheels, if you remember I had similar on my transit, I just had the normal spare wheel powder coated satin black and had a matching tire on 👍🏼
Might pay them a visit , only 20 minutes away from me .👌. Wheels and tyres look awesome. Did you notice much noise on your drive home . I’m thinking of getting the Generals
Wetherspoons mate. They have around a thousand pubs in UK serving decent food. I recommend the app, never far from a spoons ! Burger King ? Not much change from a twenty..
If you’re interested in a set of Rogue Alloy wheels get them here www.roguealloy.co.uk
Did you pay about £1500 for wheels 😮😮
@@martinstone232 that's left me a bit open mouthed.
It's less stealth and the cost of a cheap van
What a great place, they know their stuff.
Actually even though a very nice episode overall, your latest seconds coming home to your family really brought the greatest smile :-)
No feeling like getting home to the family
At least good on camera...What I don't understand is , people watch this and cant be bothered to click like. I really look forward to these on Sunday. Thanks bud.
Maybe they just don’t like the videos 😂
Your van is really starting to take shape and I love what you have done so far. I really enjoy watching your content. I love the mixture of types of videos. Really looking forward to seeing the build. Oh and the wheels are simply stunning.
Enjoyed the different vid, great tyres! Lovely to see the little'un and mum again. A great start to a Sunday, thanks!! x
Thank you

Good tips. I’ve got a raptor grill all ready to be installed mate 😉 just not got around to doing it yet. I think it’ll bring it all together

Yet another great video Shaun..you’re going places…and not just Reading! 😆 particularly loved the end bit with Kate and Charlie. Lovely family x
Thank you
It's officially Sunday 🤙
Thanks for watching

Yes….🙌 my Van life vlogger meets my Narrow boat vlogger. 😃🙌🙌🙌❤️
Are you telling me the lady I spoke to was a vlogger? She never mentioned it

Great video, my Sunday morning go to after I’ve made a brew. Van is really coming along well now. Have you thought about putting drop out vents in the floor for safety?
When I fit my proper kitchen the gas bottle will have a drop out vent.
Go for Cooper Discovery tyres.
Last for ages. Grips well and tons quieter than BFGoodrich.
What a difference the new wheels and tyres have made! Bfg are awesome tyres….last forever!

Great idea
