@@HPSupport Wow HP. Kudos to you for the repair guide! Definitely puts this laptop higher on my list of choices for a purchase. More manufacturers should do this.
I just got this laptop and went with HP for the first time, this video is an excellent tool for customers, also the actual video quality, narration and overall content is great. it's has come to the time when laptops come with service instructions as detailed as cars, feels like looking at prestigious channel doing work on a bmw.

@@HPSupport hello back. I've search support forums from HP and user forums regarding - what type of thermal compounds, different paste or pads are used behind the heatsink. I came back to this video only because it's mentioned at some point (around 06:50) that there are two types of thermal pastes inside but when opening mine I noticed that there is paste on cpu and gpu and rest thermal pads. I went thru and bought best thermal paste and best thermal pads (thinnest aswel) that consumers can get but not sure about it. I just want to go with best stuff but I also prioritize the stuff that original manufacturer use, so I would like to know exactly what type it is (not brand) but at least thickness of pads ( I bought 0.5 mm )
not many companies do this. I commend u for this video. Also this laptop is just pure work of art and beauty in my opinion. I purchased mine as an open box and am very happy. I love the fact theres 2 ram slot as well as 2 nvme slots. One thing thought at 12:20 you say to replace components from old board to new board. I would love to see how this is done. also its easier to refer to a video to see someone doing it than referring to a manual. Having included re-installing the display panel would of been a nice thing to see.
My laptop shows an empty RAM slot and i only have a single Nvme installed in it where both of these came in with it inbuilt. I want to ask that what kind of ssd do i have to buy which would fit in the 2nd second nvme slot because what i search on shopping sites, they show a different size of a storage disk from what it was shown in the video. I would really appreciate the help!
Wow, not many companies do this, the right to repair the products. This is truly comprimise with the customer, the environment, since you can upgrade your PC. Increases loyalty. Actually I purchased another SSD m.2 hard drive with HP brand thanks to these videos. I would replace the ram with HyperX ram so this OEM company can continue doing videos like this. The detail and video quality and explanation is very clear

It is very nice to see that HP has provided a full guide to replace and repair parts with detailed explanations. I recently purchased a Victus and it is a big comfort to know that any potential problems can be solved.
@kavi44 j I've been playing red dead redemption 2 on it and gta5 on medium settings all the way across the board in both games and they are from 60 fps in some areas of the game to normally 80fps. gta Is around 9-100fps usually. for the most part of the game play. Its gpu temps stay under 80c for me. I sit there with a fan on my too since its summer and my house is cool and It runs at 68c while im gaming in my chair or in my bed or while im at my gfs cause i always have a fan on my and when I didnt it never got above 80c. The fan isnt that loud as far as laptops go but you hear it. Ive never heard a silent laptop gaming at full performance setting. While I was gaming with the battery and I dimmed the screen I was still playing the games at 50-70 fps totally playable and it played for about 4 hours until the batter was drained doing this in battery saver mode.
@@nethli well you can opt for a better display to get 7 ms response time rather than 14 along with 99% sRGB, i have it myself and its pretty nice, although i would like to be able to use this laptop's full potential without having to plug it into a monitor.
@@engineergaming1679 yeah, because it's rue that Optimus is good for battery life but it would be great to be able to disable it at least when the charger is plugged in 🤔 do you have screen wobble, I am thinking of buying this laptop but I am afraid of the screen wobble I have seen in Jarrod is video, even my old every day laptop who costed like 500€ 3~4 years ago who is made of plastic don't move like that.

Thank you so much. It must take some really hard work and lot of time to make such detailed video. Just cleaned my fans and now the temps down by 15°C.
Both SSD slots are Gen 3 on the e00xxnl. The Gen 4 lanes are connected to the USB hub, the integrated graphics and some audio devices. The Gen 3 lanes are for the wifi, the ethernet, the dedicated graphics and the SSDs. Idk why they assembled it backwards, USB doesn't need Gen 4 speeds, and the two GPUs should be swapped as well, the weaker one is on a gen 4 slot while the stronger one is in the gen 3, idk really.
Thanks to the IMPORTANT information related to SSD in this video, now I am having a Gen4 SSD running at Gen3 speed in my Victus 16-e0000. Lesson learnt: Always read documents, never trust in other information sources.

@HP Support on the product page you provided in response to Darkin Essence, I see that the Ryzen 7/RTX 3050 Ti Victus has a vent present on the right side. However on Best Buy's product page, the Ryzen 5/RTX 3050 variant has no vent present on the right side. Is the vent present on more powerful configurations? Also, is the Victus being worked on in the video above the 3050 variant? Because I don't see a heat pipe extending out to the right side of the Victus.
HInge replacement should be the top priority, my HP victus right side panel near hinge has opened and started forming crack in the panel. This is the most common issue in this model

I've got a Victus 16-e0222nd. The screen doesn't seem to be held by a pultab. Neither side has them. I can slightly bend the screen (it's broken anyway) and see under that there are no pulltabs, yet it is somehow connected to the backcover. Any help? Hey considering buying the laptop, thank you for the guide, in case i want to replace the wifi card when you say "replace" the screws in general for also the heatsink etc.. do i have to replace them with a new one or i can use the old one. Does the shielding need to be replaces with a new one also or i can use the one i just removed before the change? Removing heatsink and putting it back again (the same old one) require to put thermal paste again? Does removing wifi card with another one make me lose warranty even if the problems i will get with the pc are not because of said change?
+Davide Casillo You can use the old screws and shielding. If the thermal paste is dried up, then you can replace it.

@kavi44 j @Jarodtech did a complete analysis. It's not that great review

As a reference, the ssd that my laptop already has (being the gen 4 ssd that already comes installed) can read pretty much 6500 mb/s, and the gen 4 ssd that I would like to install can read a max amount of 5000 mb/s but I would install it in the gen 3 conector
