I stumbled on your channel cause i thought about buying bmw but i ended up buying a 2013 porsche cayanne diesel. With 203k miles. Working on front diff that was whining. Getting rebuilt . Delteing. Among other things . pump catastrohic kit cleaning intake. Work in progress. It would be cool if yall did a cayanne project . Maybe some day. Great channel
I actually had a similar issue on my e90 335i. I replaced my dme as well and had to get it coded and after getting it coded and the car wouldn’t start and just crank. I talked with a local shop and he told me to upload my MHD tune that I had on the car before and that fixed my issue and then I had to replace my fuel rail sensor like you guys did. Still have the stupid boost pressure short to ground code though that was there before so I got get that figured out, and I don’t think it’s the sensor cause I replaced that. This car is so annoying to work on but it’s fun to drive though.
Hey guys. Love the channel. Also have an e9x n55 xdrive with an 8hp45x swap using CANTCU. Have had the PTCAN issue ever since I swapped the car. Several other E series n55 cars have the PTCAN issue and we all have vastly different set ups. The PTCAN is often paired with a nasty torque limiter (#419304) that really zaps the fun out of the swap. Interested to see if you all encounter anything similar. Good luck!
I know this is something cantcu is actively working on and beta testing solutions to allow the best experience. Always a lot of different things being beta tested with the many different variations between engine and transmission setups.

I second that! That PT-CAN fault really takes all the fun out.

I shredded a belt with a protector so I'll do it short and see if it actually worked.

How buggy is the 8hp45 swap? Most post I find are people troubleshooting some sort of issues. It does not seem set it and forget it swap.

the 8hp45 from the E chassis is a little more complicated, it's been bit of a headache.
