    Hard to work out just exactly why this kid is flipping out but whatever, he's got a serious anger management and sportsmanship problem. If he was on a team that I coached he'd be off for a week or three! I always taught respect for all officials and players, regardless of mistakes (I always used to tell my players that if no one ever made a mistake then no goals would ever get scored).

  • @alexh8613

    I see two possible scenarios.
    1) The kid in blue faked the kid in white out. The kid in white got hurt when he was faked out. He went down and the ref called a bogus penalty on the kid in blue.
    2) The kid in blue faked the kid in white out. The kid in white got hurt when he was faked out. The kid in blue called out the kid in white as a flopper. The ref told him to get away. The kid in blue kept talking. The ref finally penalized the kid in blue.
    3) The coach/trainer said something to the kid in blue and then smacked him on the back. The kid in blue didn't like this and started jawing. The ref told him to shutup, so the kid flipped out. (I didn't notice the smack when I first watched this).
    Without a summary though, I have no clue on what actually happened.

  • @christopherworks400
    @christopherworks400 2 года назад

    Play was stopped because the ball was kicked into the players knee which caused an injury. US soccer youth rules 'play stops due to injury'. The ref said leave the ball and back up/away. Then can't see off camera, he does something the ref didn't like then he gets mad and wants to fight. I am guessing the kids from the other team me have been exchanging words and it got a little inappropriate.

    Dear Parents with no Athletic Ability or Officials Training!!!! Uhm... No penalty was called... at the 7 second mark, you can see the player was injured by the ball!!! Weather it was a flop or not, the Ref stopped play... the parents even say it at the 12 second mark... Kid got hit with the ball and the time was stopped for safety reasons... Now, I can agree that the official may have not handled the matter a bit better... but that is something you can only learn by experience!!!! You ever gone thru Concussion protocols and safety class's for scholastic and youth sports??? the kid who kicked the ball didn't like that the play was stopped... the Ref could have used better language like: Be cool, you getting the ball back... but the kid, and his parents are so full of shit that they blame the Ref!!! For themselves losing composure... to say the kid was faking it after getting hit in the face... is just pathetic!!! The call was for an Injury... and no person has the right to go against precautions!!!! Go out and call a few games and tell us what it's like to make a split second decision!!! From an official with 30 years of civic service to Sports!!!!

      Pause it right after the kid in white blocks the ball with his left leg. His ankle is bending the wrong way. Not diving. Looks like he seriously sprained his ankle. Ref likely called stoppage for injury which would be appropriate for youth soccer.

    • @karlrovey
      @karlrovey 2 года назад

      NFHS soccer prioritizes player safety over advantage. If the player is out of the way and it isn't a head injury, they play advantage. Here, the player isn't out of the way. They'll stop that just about every time if you're playing NFHS rules.

    It appears to me, as a former player and coach, that there could be three options: 1. Playing misconduct - blue player moved the ball when instructed by the referee to leave the ball at the place and time of the whistle. 2. Behavior misconduct- Blue player said something inappropriate - taunting for example. 3. Referee error - referee could have attributed the blue player an erroneous foul or action, which triggered the outburst.

      Adam Erickson exactly my point he also called a penalty earlier in the game and i simply asked who commited the foul because there were three defenders in the area and he said "one of you three"

    To everyone that clearly hasn't seen it, the white player got hit in the side of the knee. Without prior knowledge, I can't say if immediately stopping the game was the correct call or not, but I'll assume it was. The player that flipped out, in my opinion, should have gotten a straight red card, because if he lost his temper that quickly at something meaningless as what I saw on screen, he is a danger to everybody on the field and should not be there. The referee did everything right, and depending on what card he gave, I would just give a red. If he gave a red, good. If he gave a yellow, perfectly understandable but I would personally upgrade it.

    The kid had every right to flip out. The other player fell down and pretended to get hurt and he was 5 feet away from the guy with the ball. If the ref is going to cheat or make that bad of call the player has a right to explain himself and that referee should never ref again. That has to be the worst call of all time in soccer!

    This is what you get when you have incompetent people reading games.
    The ref made several bad decisions that were completely outside the laws of the game.
    There was no foul to begin with- the ball simply hit the player. He howled & went down, but still no foul & no reason to stop the play at all.
    Ref then calls coach & leans over the player - this is NOT his job ever.
    Then he tells the other team's players to move back aggressively. They were doing nothing wrong at all & there is no rule violation there. Then he struts around & increases the aggression towards the team in blue threatening them with a red card if they don't move back.
    At this point the player on blue loses it.
    Frankly, I was angry watching this grown man masquerading as a referee generate chaos & anger by throwing his weight around. He invented rule infractions & bullied players to support his crazy antics.
    The referee caused this whole mess & should never ref again.
    The kid who lost it was wrong to do so, but he was not the problem.

      @@Jie67 Not always. In high school, one of my classmates tore his ACL in a basketball game. The only thing he initially noticed was that he was unable to cut one direction and instead just fell over. It was only once the adrenaline wore off that he was in pain. He still played two more games before it was diagnosed.
      I was right next to a guy who dislocated his knee playing baseball. I tagged him as he was picked off at second. He made an awkward lunge to get back and just went down. Again, no scream.
      Senior night of HS soccer. Opponent (who should not have been cleared to return to play that season due to a broken clavicle) rebroke his clavicle during the soccer game. No scream. He went down and just stayed there.
