@@EnjoySackLunchyou’ve clearly never been in a fight this is wresting not fighting the kid in the green was trying to make it a fight this is also WAY safer than football
Kid in green is wrestling dirty, but.... that's pretty common in wrestling. I remember in high school wrestling people grabbing headgear to pull it down in your eyes, cross faces that were actually punches, fingers getting way too close to orifices, padlocks that were used as ball smashers. Just a dirty sport all around even though I still love it. Refs need to pay better attention to that shit. Dirty wrestlers will use whatever they need to in order to win. Refs need to call that out and as I remember they did a shit job at it.
Fingers getting way too close to orifices??? More like those fingers be checking for oil. You’re a quart low buddy! Hell, if it can get a pitbull to let go of it’s bite lock, you know good and well it can get some teenage kid to flip onto his back. Orifice protection is an instinctual priority, its across-the-board, species to species. Believe that.
@@knuckledragger2412 Hmmm. I saw the name Ripon on the backboard gym mat. Ripon Wisconsin is not far from Mayville. Putting 2 & 2 together, but not sure if I'm correct...
Only someone who doesn’t know crap about wrestling would think he’s intentionally punching him, he was reaching for his head to head and arm him he just had bad placement.
This is what happens when your coach only teaches you the head and arm and not how to shoot. Only works if you’re stronger than the other kid and can get it done before you get shot on- against anyone with actual skill, the head and arm is what loses it for them all together. Kid in green needs a better coach. He did look like he was swinging but honestly I think he just hasn’t been taught anything except ‘go for the head’ which is bad advice and will be the reason he sometimes wins but always the reason why he loses.
I coached for 20 years and told my team you are only allowed to use a headlock in the last 30 seconds of a match you are loosing. Good wrestlers don't use headlocks and you can't beat a good wrestler with one.
If the kid in the read shot a double every time he reached for the head, maybe he would learn to not reach for the head lol..but young kids learning it will be tough to break him of that habit.
The wrestler in green was overmatched and a lot weak than the other wrestler. He was not punching, just trying for a head lock with very poor coaching.
Punch or just a crappy attempt at a head throw? Yes, both. The kid only had 1 takedown move that he tried and he didn't use good technique even at that. Kudos to the kid in red for keeping his cool and for making the green kid pay for terrible execution. I hate that coaches even teach that move. Kids think it is awesome then rarely try shooting after that. Just sloppy.
You dumb asl collar ties are a good strategy in wrestling and very effective it annoys opponents I admit coaches need to teach it a bit better and should have stopped the match but if you think that kids shouldnt know collar ties then your son or daughter must be a really crappy wrestler then and don’t even bother saying anything cus i got to the best wrestling camps of United States
I've coached wrestling for 35 years. I don't believe the kid in the green was punching to wanting to fight. He was just trying for a very poor head & arm attempt, over and over. Two things should have happened... 1. The ref (young kid) should've stopped the action and explained to the kid in the green that he can't wind up like that and awarded the kid in Maroon a penalty point for unnecessary roughness. 2. The other coach should have done a better job coaching and talked (coached) his kid to stop trying that move, get in a damm stance, and work on head snaps, instead of desperately trying that head and arm. Lastly, the kid in the maroon should have just got into a better stance (bending his legs/arms out front and just have done (blow through double legs), just my opinion. Good Luck and make sure your boy continues to have fun in the sport. It's a long journey and learning from every match, will only make him better.
Zero "punches" thrown. Green just wildly swinging for the head grip to get the head and arm throw. Clearly that's his "go-to" throw as he keeps trying for it.
Granted, I don’t know much about real wrestling, but I’m thinking the ref should have done something about all the punches. No? Because that hardly seemed like a real match. Was the kid in green the son of Hacksaw Jim Duggan?
the referee is wearing a baseball hat and jeans, also his wristbands are on the wrong arms. There's not a real referee in the building. no way i'd let my kid wrestle here.
These junior wrestling refs suck so much, always have always will. My younger brother had his first match the other day, kid almost choked him out because the ref didnt know what he was doing.
Umm. I'm a certified H.S referee. What the kid did shortly after 0:46, was not "clubbing". It was 100% flagrant. I hope you're not a wrestler. If so, go back and ask your coach to teach you some basic rules.
I know they’re probably 11 but damn those are shitty wrestlers, standing straight up and not doing SHIT on the legs even with parents yelling to go for a single
I think he's just going for a headlock repeatedly. That's what it looks like when beginners rush a HL without setting it up. Coach probably corrected that right away.
The green kid wasn’t trying to punch anyone. His only move was a terribly executed, brilliantly telegraphed, poor technique headlock and he jaws just desperately trying to get it
Two tough kids right here. Wrestler in maroon definitely more experienced, the other one was relying on one move, the head and arm. He was swinging but he was really only trying to run the move hard
It really did "look" like the kid was swinging... but i think it was more just a lack of experience and coaching. The kid never had that look in his eye like he was trying to do damaged or frustration really. He probably only had confidence in a head and arm takedown and was violently going for it.

Where in the bama backwoods did they find this ref
To be fair, they were wrestling without a real ref. He can't possibly be licensed. Uniform was absurdly wrong. Wristbands on the wrong wrists. Missed out of bounds, 3 flagrant misconducts, illegal holds, and grasping the headgear. Way too close so that he interfered with the wrestling on several occasions.
Kid in Dark Red has solid instincts, good stability and stamina. He even has a great temperament. Only thing he needs to do is work more on the technicals.
Are we watching the same video? 0:45 That was clearly a punch, there was not even an attempt made to grab the opponent. He just straight up swung at the other kid, check his body too.
I know where are the refs to stop this madness? Probably were friends with the opposing coaches or parents. Sad politics we see that here. Kid should have been disqualified and been given a good spanking by the parents, something like you know discipline? Obviously not part of this kids life. Sad. It’s not the kids fault it’s really the parents and the refs for not doing anything to stop this clear assault and poor sportsmanship. This will negatively affect him later in life when he grows up to be a man baby.
Kid in green has one move and was trying for it the whole match. Kept going for the head but couldnt get anything going. No control over his own arms. I know they are still young and lots to learn but man it made me cringe watching him just flail his arms like that
In green's defense that was bad technique not intentional punches. His technique will improve but in the meantime his coach needs to teach the difference between being wild and aggressive vs controlled and aggressive. One really good fix for this will be when he starts keeping the elbows in so those attacks will be linear instead of looking like wild looping swings. That will also make them way more accurate and effective.
so much wrong here, we will start with a non wrestler, kid in green has no skills at all, Some of his attempts were headlock attempts I saw 3 blatant punches thrown to the head that should have stopped the match. Surprised Im the only one who picked up on the Illegal headlock atleast once and possible twice. He had a pretty good take down but does not know how to break down a wrestler and keep him broken down, has a weak turn for pin or back points, and his mat returns are not existent. From what I see its pretty sloppy all the way around including the ref.
based on the title I thought in those 5 seconds after the final decision the other kid was just gonna start going crazy w punches 🤣
