@@AliBaba-rq5onno he was definitely paralyzed from the waist down, though i guess in a way that he was able to heal from (unless the little girl was imagining seeing him in other movies at the end).
Not even gonna lie, I basically only watched this because Lee Pace will forever be my celebrity crush and then I came out of it feeling so emotional and already like I wanted to watch it again. What a great movie.
I saw it only once many years ago but it's been imprinted in my head ever since. I have wanted to watch it again for the longest time but it is never streaming anywhere and the DVD is insanely expensive.
Brilliant brilliant movie. Over ten years of making. Based on a little czech tale. More love for the cinema is not possible. IMMORTALS and THE CELL are masterpieces too.
I met the actor who plays Governor Odious, on the set of a movie where I worked as an extra. After that I decided to check out his filmography. When I read the description and reviews of this movie, I decided that I should watch it. Now I am the proud owner of both dvd and Blu-ray. I love this movie!
The demographic for this movie is unfortunately growin exponentially. I can't find faults with production but it could be remade keeping the main points but that would be quite expensive and unlikely to make a profit. Can't see a streaming version going anywhere unless they can seriously build suspense and and intrigue but even then it needs to be told in one go
I never heard of this film until today. But dear lord what an amazing piece of art it is. So Lovely to watch it. Underrated is an overrated word on the internet and ive never used that word anywhere i dont even watch youtube much or comment anywhere untill now , But here i am saying it really is an underrated gem. Much Love for The Fall❤
I agree about this being a uniquely beautiful and one of a kind movie. It's exquisite! It's so sad that it's so rare and not make the kind of money that it deserves. Hopefully, this time it will reach a much bigger audience.
You should also check Serguei Paradjanov's Sayat Nova : The Color of Pomegranates. It's a cinematic masterpiece whom Tarsem Singh clearly took inspiration from. Stunningly beautiful, especially considering it was made in the mid sixties.
Yeah, I wish it was going to be put into all theaters though, instead of just selected ones, now that it can have a second chance for another theatrical, big screen showing. 🫤
I Just ordered it from eBay $52 dollars But the funny thing is it came in a blockbuster case with a sticker saying it was 10 dollars. My theory is this is a rare movie that’s why it’s so high in price today
I heard about that. I think they are going to re-release it, just like they are going to screen it again in the theaters. I first saw this on DVD, so I can't wait to see this on a big screen! I guess I should consider myself lucky that I got a copy second hand for cheap.
i am so THRILLED it's being released in theaters today! i only saw this movie once, in the first theatrical release, and i already knew it was one of my favorite movies of all time. this deserves its 4K rendition and re-release!
Incredible film - which I saw at River Oaks Theatre October 2024. The actors - especially the young girl - the story the injured stunt man tells her, and how the cinematography brings it to life is breathtaking. Visually stunning, rich story - this is a "don't miss" film.
Sad that I see this question so much. No idea. I found it 17 years ago (my god) at a Blockbuster. Streaming is great, but it's ruined some gems..lost to time

I love how most of his interaction with the little girl (in the hospital bed) was absolutely unscripted and a genuine conversation they were having.
I watched this movie when was young and i don't remember how Lee pace end up in hospital ,can you tell me ??

You will enjoy Dear Jassi
I heard that a lot of the art direction and shots are based on an Iranian artist's work.
A little Bulgarian tale (and a movie from 1981). Petrov Ridge in Graham Land, Antarctica is named after its author Valeri Petrov.

The cinematography is unbelievable
You will never come across such a presentation of the beauty of the soul such as this ...........
This film is a cinematic wonder.
The movie will stay in your mind forever after you see it. A truly once in a lifetime film... stunning, deep, emotional, breaktaking.
this is my all time favorite movie, I was a really young girl when I first saw it and it saved my life.
This movie is perfect. 10/10 in every way.
Peter Jackson saw this film and became a fan of Lee Place and he later cast him as Thranduil in The Hobbit.
Yes totally and he did great job casting him as thranduil .
Of which he was also perfect in. I'm sad we never got a Thranduil movie.
I can see why

Tarsem directed REM's "Losing my Religion", as they say - the rest is history! ❤️
i love that i knew this is the same director as “the cell” without even googling it. such works of art!
Ikr? I watched The Fall first, but when i watched The Cell I knew it was Tarsem.. Such a unique and amazing style I wish he made more movies 😭
And the same costume designer (she also designed Dracula): Eiko Ishioka.
This movie is amazing and impossible to ever find streaming on anything.
Mubi has it
1:45 scene is from my village. It is famous stepwell 'chand baori' which is built 8th century.
This little girl was so amazing and believable in her role. I need this beautiful film in a physical 4k
Yes, She was! She absolutely stole my heart. This movie is poetry and motion.
The 4k is coming soon
I’ve watched this movie multiple times. It’s so beautifully done. No film sets, just gorgeous locations.
Luckily I still have this on DVD. Hopefully someday it’ll get a proper streaming release or blu ray again.
It's gotten both now!!!
I must see this. It looks like it was made for me. It's certainly a film after my heart.
This gives me all the feels at the same time. Lee is such a miracle, it's impossible not ti love and admire his talent❤

whatever happened to Justine Waddell ? she was so talented
Tarsem Singh should direct a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen series, seriously

It will be back showing in selected theaters, soon.☺️
I wanted to like this movie because the same director did "The Cell." The Cell was made for tripping balls.
I climbed the Lakihegy transmission tower 314 meters (1000 feet) Without any guarantees!
