I love how most of his interaction with the little girl (in the hospital bed) was absolutely unscripted and a genuine conversation they were having.
I watched this movie when was young and i don't remember how Lee pace end up in hospital ,can you tell me ??
@@AliBaba-rq5on lee pace was a stuntman and i think broke his legs, maybe that intro in the beginning showed it?

@@AliBaba-rq5onno he was definitely paralyzed from the waist down, though i guess in a way that he was able to heal from (unless the little girl was imagining seeing him in other movies at the end).
the movie was entirely scripted. quit pretending otherwise, liar.
Not even gonna lie, I basically only watched this because Lee Pace will forever be my celebrity crush and then I came out of it feeling so emotional and already like I wanted to watch it again. What a great movie.
I saw it only once many years ago but it's been imprinted in my head ever since. I have wanted to watch it again for the longest time but it is never streaming anywhere and the DVD is insanely expensive.
Brilliant brilliant movie. Over ten years of making. Based on a little czech tale. More love for the cinema is not possible. IMMORTALS and THE CELL are masterpieces too.

I met the actor who plays Governor Odious, on the set of a movie where I worked as an extra.
After that I decided to check out his filmography. When I read the description and reviews of this movie, I decided that I should watch it. Now I am the proud owner of both dvd and Blu-ray.

Peter Jackson saw this film and became a fan of Lee Place and he later cast him as Thranduil in The Hobbit.

I never heard of this film until today. But dear lord what an amazing piece of art it is. So Lovely to watch it. Underrated is an overrated word on the internet and ive never used that word anywhere i dont even watch youtube much or comment anywhere untill now , But here i am saying it really is an underrated gem. I agree about this being a uniquely beautiful and one of a kind movie. It's exquisite! It's so sad that it's so rare and not make the kind of money that it deserves. Hopefully, this time it will reach a much bigger audience.

You should also check Serguei Paradjanov's Sayat Nova : The Color of Pomegranates. It's a cinematic masterpiece whom Tarsem Singh clearly took inspiration from. Stunningly beautiful, especially considering it was made in the mid sixties.
I must see this. It looks like it was made for me. It's certainly a film after my heart.

Ikr? I watched The Fall first, but when i watched The Cell I knew it was Tarsem.. Such a unique and amazing style I wish he made more movies 😭

Luckily I still have this on DVD. Hopefully someday it’ll get a proper streaming release or blu ray again.

Incredible film - which I saw at River Oaks Theatre October 2024. The actors - especially the young girl - the story the injured stunt man tells her, and how the cinematography brings it to life is breathtaking. Visually stunning, rich story - this is a "don't miss" film.

I Just ordered it from eBay $52 dollars
But the funny thing is it came in a blockbuster case with a sticker saying it was 10 dollars.
