Brother I just subbed cause you taught me something the big channels didn’t. My videos have been grainy unnecessarily this whole time! Thank you. This video is crystal clear now thanks to you. I just for 1% better!
Awesome video! My video footage while editing was grainy, but once I added the Noice Reduction and turned it up to the maximum the grainy parts went away. Thank you so much for the tip. It worked well.
good video bro. Whenever I use noise reduction though my FCP slows down so much that it's almost unusable. I use 4k24fps footage filmed at 10 bit 4.2.2 without proxy files and have a 2023 macbook pro m2 chip. How can I get FCP to have a smooth workflow and export using NR?
We started our documentary film with SD footage years ago and are changing it to HD 1920x1080 24fps through Resolve then importing into Final Cut . How can we intensify the clips?
For some reason my Noise Reduction item doesn't allow me to see any of the options you're seeing here (Amount, Sharpness). Any clue as to why that is? Very helpful video.
@@StupidRaisins In farting around with it right now I'm able to open the window for these options by way of right clicking and attempting to "add shape/color". Weird work around, but I'll take it. Thanks for responding so fast!
One thing to mention that I didn't see addressed in the video or in the comments, this process makes exporting a nightmare for longer, 4k videos. It typically takes me roughly 1.5-2 hours to export my videos, but after using the noise reduction tool and adjusting the settings, it took my video around 7 hours to export. Also note my Mac has 128 GB RAM,. Just a heads up for everyone to consider when using the tool.
I love the parts of the video where you were professional and straight to the point. I'm sorry, but I hated the parts where you were trying to be funny. But overall, super informative video

Do you want to make the colors pop more? If so, add a color correction and increase saturation.
Thanks a lot for this vid!!!
You're welcome
😂 love the intro
Glad you laughed.

@@ryanrootphoto Sounds like you're adding a mask. Did you drag and drop the effect onto your viewer or clip in the timeline?

Thank you for sharing.
if you apply noise reduction to just a chopped portion of the clip, won't the rest of the clip be unaffected by noise reduction?
Yup, that's right.
@@StupidRaisins got it so you did for demo purposes. thanks!
@@andrealiu5106 You're welcome
Where do you get the noise reduction? All I got is noise 360?
Hi Alan, go to the "Basics" category in the effects Browser. You'll find it in there. Happy editing!
Thank you very much. Leena
You're welcome Leena!

Thanks, but didn't come here for the "drama". Your Gollum needs work.
Just trying to have a little fun while I teach Final Cut. Sure my Gollum isn't perfect but at least I have my precious.
@@StupidRaisins Of course. Your video was very helpful.
That is so unnecessary mean, he did a great job. How else would you know hes imitating gollum?
You go sir, absolutely above and beyond effort as always!
Thanks!
