@@dj_sp3rmcount Well if you build it yourself it will cost roughly 600eur without the stick. But yeah they are crazy for giving you tiny little motors for 7Nm when you can buy or assemble yourself 35Nm easily for less money

VR is great yeah, make sure you are already acclimated to it in other games before trying it in wt as it can be tiring for long periods of time, as for VR capabilities, they have loads of compatibility nowadays with it, such as aiming HMS on planes and helis etc, i highly recommend keeping a bind handy to reset your position in war thunder (wt and steamvr have two different positions, wt is initially set when you boot the game), ive done sim in vr quite a few times and it is very fun and makes looking around and staying looking at the enemy plane just so much easier
@@YoRHaUnit2Babe to be fair it doesn’t take as long as you would think to get used to it, especially after playing project wingman and a ace combat as well as war thunder, both great ways of getting used to manoeuvring with a stick
@@BlackWolf9988 this was made back when MTI was quite good, it’s now quite tenuous, but many of the planes in its BR don’t have anything other than just pulsed, save for the viggens and anglophantoms, even the F-5E at the same BR has no IFF, though I did just test fly the mig-23 for the first time in ages and wow the new MTI is shit, and for whatever reason the max range is now locked to 30KM, which I could’ve sworn it went further unless that’s only at higher alts

@@mangosuppe8706 while it has been quite good, over time the release of other missiles like IRCCM missiles and smokeless missiles kinda outmoded it due to the multipath height being so unless the person was at high altitude getting a kill became less and less common, that coupled with the F-14s being moved to a higher tier away from lower tier planes also affected this, but now multipath is lower and other people have ARH more and more are flying at higher altitudes I have noticed
@dj_sp3rmcount Hmmm, that is definetely interesting to read, I have really only played USSR and I never really noticed a difference but as you said "IRCCM" missiles as USSR doesn't unlock them till 13.3 I do understand how it is to go from non-IRCCM to IRCCM, although the R-73 is way more than just adding IRCCM obviously (I guess you could say R-27T but the IRCCM isn't exactly "great" at long range) What has been the biggest point for me is it was still one hell of a beast for me to dogfight and exceptionally annoying towards the end of the game with ten minutes and below fuel
don't worry, it's already back to it's original 12.3 and 12.7 so it can keep slaying anything that's not an uptier... don't worry guys, america is safe
@@CarameloWTits better if you want a longer game experience, instead of dropping into loads of matches of getting a couple kills or getting instakilled, you can just play sim for a hour or two and chill out, its like DCS but better and more accessible

@@dj_sp3rmcount I had the gunfighter w/the F14 grip. It was AMAZING! War Thunder made some binds hard. I did see guys playing Elite Dangerous with dual Space Sim sticks doing amazing. I did use a Thrustmaster Throttle and pedal assembly that felt like gravel compared to the VKB stick components.
I have a genuine question, will the f4s have enough fuel to go to the airfield full wep in sim if it carry full rockets, 100% fuel no fuel tank. And yes i'm that type of player
@@gonhelen8931 I can’t remember how much fuel the F-4s carry max I think it’s like 43 minutes? Should be enough on the way there, on the way back you might need to be a bit more conservative with it, only real way to know is to give it a try and see if you might need an extra drop tank if you need to go full tilt there and back
@ even so iirc the F-4s max fuel drain isn’t as bad as the F-14 so it should be fine, maybe as I said stay at non afterburner or stage 1 afterburner on the way home, tell you the truth I don’t use the F-4 models all too much, last time was the F-4S and I remember being a bit conservative with fuel but that was because I had bombs so I had barely enough thrust to get past supersonic
@@NukieDookie yeah I’ve heard of it, old FFB stick, it does look good, my only issues come down to the age of the stick and finding one that isn’t overly used may be an issue. However the patent for FFB flight sticks has now expired so hopefully more and more FFB sticks should be arriving on the market soon that have stronger FFB and higher quality sticks, I’ve also heard that the throttle unit and rudders that come with the stick aren’t great, for the time being I’m thinking of making the switch to Hall effect sensors with the warthog throttle and VKB space combat stick
@ I found mine on Facebook marketplace for $100, Guy never used it. Having that FFB is awesome, you can feel the aircraft start to stall and the controls lock up. The foot pedals aren’t too bad and the throttles aren’t too bad either. Biggest problem is getting the setup to talk to the game properly.
Some of information in this video is incorrect or out of date. The F-16AM has two RWRs just like it does in real life. This is not a bug. The MiG-21 bison does not have ARH missiles in game meaning that more than one datalink channel for an R-27R is irrelevant, not to mention the R-27R doesn't have the range to even need the datalink.

the link does in fact work for the R27, recovering a missile from being notched is much more consistent by relocking with the datalink, not to mention being able to do sneaky strats like dropping a lock intentionally

idk if you are just about RB top tier or sim top tier but i get what you mean, best not pay game chat any mind as its a shithole, and on wt discords and forums outright wars get started because people play planes they have fun in rather ones that are in meta, as for CAS issues in sim, its weird because they have in the past randomly turned off base SPAA and ship AA, then randomly bringing it back with a vengence, the way i usually deal with it is to fligh high then dive bomb at a sharp angle and use CCIP to bomb if i dont have any guided

Its perfectly serviceable, I forget what state its flight model is as I have yet to fly it since I need to get around to finishing my Swedish TT, weapons wise It’s much like an F-16 with its wide array of bombs and guided munitions should you want to bomb with it, it is however lacking in radar missiles since it only has the RB71 (DF), which is a skyflash (bri’ish sparrow), a missile with that is known for it being temperamental, when it’s at 11.3, at 13.0 however it’s horrid, I would wholeheartedly recommend a full loadout of RB74(M)s (AIM-9Ms) with the countermeasure pods for a dogfighting centric loadout, if you want to do some ground pounding then replace two of the inner RB74(M)s with 2 GBU-24 Paveway IIIs and a lightening II pod, also take centre drop tanks for both loadouts, they’re a lifesaver. As for the joystick, while it isn’t required, and I have known many people who play using mouse (either mouse joystick or direct input) I would still highly recommend a joystick, these days they can be quite cheap, you can find fully capable sticks like thrust master sticks (usually they also have throttle) for around £70 new, you could get used for less of course, though if you were to delve into flight sticks I would recommend some reviews before you buy so you know what you are paying for, I myself use a Logitech X56 (I don’t really recommend given hindsight), I’m planning at some point to get a VKB space combat flight stick and a warthog throttle unit to replace my current setup

I just bought it due to it being on sale, I had not known that it was going away soon, that’s a bit of a shame, I’m looking forward to trying it out as it does seem like a promising fighter for sim, I have seen others use it and they say it’s great for its BR, don’t feel pressured into getting it just because it’s going away, as gaijin will bring it back every now and then during sales and Turkish holidays etc, as for if you should get it? If you are looking to get into the Italian tree then it’s a great option between that and the AMX, only issue being is in realistic battles they are both 11.3, but the TAF is 10.7 in sim, so if you play a lot of sim then I would personally take that over the AMX, it’s got a good mix of bombs, speed and missiles, only shortcomings it has is it will likely burn through fuel, its radar is shorter in range than I would like and it’s RWR is not great, although it’s one of the few planes at that BR with radar missiles that are quite competent
@dj_sp3rmcount yea i meant the taf, but i dont rlly care about grinding as i've been playing for like 6 years. But dont have italy air yet. But the F104 taf looks like alot of fun. So i want to get it before its gone
@@Shadowxat it’s possible, however you will find issues with not enough buttons for binds, so you will either need to use button combos (like pressing down left stick while pressing X) or if your controller has extra macro paddles use those, preferably use a keyboard if it’s available

@@gonhelen8931 you can go less than 110% but more than 100% which is much more fuel efficient but still fast enough
I recommend getting a Logitech G940, you can find used ones for really good prices

you can use split throttles you just need ot change a macro you turn on engines 1 and 2 separately

btw, i was with the Su25 with the big laser guided missiles anti tank but if i cant even get close to the targets it doesnt really matter playing it
