Thank you very much for the video! This video proves that malfunctioning quartz clocks can be repaired. So that people will no more get tempted to throw the damaged and malfunctioning clocks into garbage or by the side of road. Instead they get idea to repair and use the clock again.
Omg the editing and narrative is so Good 😂 I find it amusing and funny at the same time I’m here because my wall clock stopped but i like it so much that I dont wanna throw it away
Sir, you are my hero. Between the fun editing, full explanations, and follow through .... ::chef's Kiss:: Giving some of these methods on two of my favorite clocks that have been broken, but meant way too much to me for me to throw away. A silly cheap monkey statue holding the clock above her head inherited from my mom and a woodwork clock my father made when I was little. Thank you!!
Respect. I'm working on one now. At first it seemed too time consuming. The reason I didn't want to fix this for so long. But by the end, everyone learns something. Good video.
I needed to replace a wall clock mechanism. I found this video and at first I didn’t think it applied to me because, no ants in my old clock. But soon I was invested in the outcome of the mystery. And I learned how to fix my clock along the way. Thanks!
You're a clock nut like me. I have 2 facing the back yard, one on the front porch, 2 in the kitchen, one in the LR, one in each bedroom and one in the bathroom. I'm trying to fix one to put in the other bathroom. Do we have a screw loose? By the way fantastic creative video!!! Great job.
Thank you for your help! The second hand on my clock is fine, it's the other two I have a problem with. After a while they quit working and when I pick the clock up to dust, the hands are loose and quit working again. How do I tighten them up, to where picking the clock up, the hands don't quit working?
@@HanDIYman007 Thank you! I will have to watch your video again! Also, I have a number of beautiful clocks that are battery operated. Some of them lose time. Is it a normal thing for them to lose time because the batteries get weaker as time goes on? Is there a way I can adjust the time to a faster pace? Thanks for your help!!
@@marciahofer4502 yes, battery degradation could be a factor why clocks lose time. It could also be that the parts need cleaning or even a lose lock nut 😉
@@HanDIYman007 Thank you! I will check to see if the lock nut is loose. Obviously, I have a lot to learn about clocks! If I remember right, even if the batteries were new the clock would lose time. I have some beautiful clocks that I never parted with, so maybe with your help, I can get them working again!
@@HanDIYman007 I guess you're next video could be, how to properly clean clock parts. Another problem I have with some battery operated clocks is when the batteries are new the clock runs fast and as the batteries fade the clock runs slow. There has to be a way to get a more accurate time! It seems almost all my clocks are battery operated, so maybe I'll just have to enjoy the beauty of my clocks and check my phone for accurate times. Lol. 🙂
Thank you thank you. I certainly appreciated your thought process illustrating how you arrived at your repair solution. Can you please tell me on what kind of tool that a person can use to put the clock hands back on the clock ? I used Long Needle pliers tryin to get them on ? I can ownly get sometimes one hand . i can not get them to sniped in place on Clocks . I don't know what else to do. I don't know how u all get the hands on the clock . Cause i sure can't get them to stay on the clock???
I have faced similar attacks by small ants on clocks and laptops. Somehow they are attracted by electronic gadgets. Att times they nibble on plastic gears, destroying them completely. Spiders sometimes build silken nests inside clocks, jamming up the works. The only way to prevent ants is to use a quick drying insecticide spray. But it should not be used in the clock's parts as the solvent used in the pray could damage the delicate parts. Small lizards too, manage to get inside wall clocks and jam them up.
Hey tell me am going nuts or not. But Did the red hand on the clock was called the minute hand and the minute was called the second hand? Cuz I could of swear the red hand was minute hand back long ago
I had the same problem MINUS the ants. It was still keeping time, but I don’t know what time it was keeping because it wasn’t my time it was just all over the place all of a sudden. PLEASE can someone help me?? I have changed batteries I have changed mechanisms I don’t know what is wrong. Any knowledgeable suggestions are welcome. Please.

If the clocks keep stoping at the same time everyday you need an exorcist not new clocks 😂

It has something to do with a loose lock nut. I showed this in the video too.

My clock is spinning backwards and forwards and stays still in 3:05. What is wrong with it?
Get some cotton balls and soak them in insect repellent and put them behind the clock it works well

Hello! The second hand of our clock looks like it has a lock. How do we remove it?
Pity my clock was not working when I started watching this video... so I didn't know how much time I was wasting.

I love 24 too but too much talking about what was wrong instead of just getting straight to the point of how to fix a clock.
My clock shop said to use insect spray as a preventive measure inside/around the clock if the area is known to be infested with ants.
Yep good idea! What i did in the vid. I do have a better pest prevention solution in another video 😉
Maybe because you have it out there made of overheated through the last the clocks Must have overheated
and a fan which is always running
Cut to the chase my dude, I’m here to fix a clock not watch a documentary
hello hanDIYman 007
They sell a sealed water proof clock
So you're problem was ants?......
👌👌👌
Why clock broken again 👿😞
saat hızlandır ve kendine iyi bak ve sen sensin
same problem,no ants, new (expensive) clock, new battery.just mass produced pieces of crap☹️

Why the ants not crawl into the motor of the fan?
My watch works but the hands don't move. The only thing that works is this black cap.
