You may want to cut a few inches off the back pipe on that exhaust, it almost clipped that curb at the end. I had to do that with mine as it protruded out to far, I then sprayed some heat resistant paint onto it. Good show, I've almost watched the lot now; subbed! Oh' I've had my Talbot for just over 4 years, Great wee van to be fair at 30 years old.
There are some real messers out there, good job you did not allow the courier to load the camper onto the trailer, chances are he still would not have paid Sounds like the sale ended well. Onwards & forwards, look forward to the next installment! Thanks for sharing.
Hope the Talbot is more reliable that the horizon I once owned ! Great to see my favourite road trip dynamic duo back on the channel .. Any news on the Austin & the world famous p50 ?.. Drive safe ! Have great adventure!
Nice to see Seaford again - not been there in many years. Is that the area of Sussex you are from? I grew up in Lewes but later lived in Newhaven, Peacehaven and finally Horam before I left for Canada. Incidentally - that looks like a Canadian themed blanket hanging in your camper.
There was no company there then - it was just the mechanics workshop run by the Lewes Technical College. I was studying/working on block release, rotating 5 weeks at the college and then 5 weeks at a local garage. We each went to a different one, I was at Caffyns - the one that is now Land Rover, I believe. Down near the tunnel. Probably only one Caffyns in Lewes now but there were three at one point. Austin-Rover, Volkswagen and a Rover showroom by Cliffe Bridge. That one is an Argos store now.
Hi good to see you in your van in the village the other day and have a little chat..
It was great meeting you at last
Look forward to your next video (with the Talbot maybe), 😊
Next video on Wednesday, and next van video on Friday 😀
