Nice camper Joely has there. Get the oven and a heater fitted and she’s all set up for winter. Is the blue Reliant your second one? I seem to remember a video where you sold one to raise finances for the van and it looked like it was the same one. Or perhaps you paint all your vehicles the same colour and it’s a different one?
ahh yes, well observed and remembered , I did indeed sell it, a year or two ago, but I ended up buying it back! luckily it didn't go far away when I sold it
I notice that's a different Paraffin heater than you used to use, why the change if you don't mind me asking. Also, would you not prefer a blue flame Paraffin heater? The flame is less appealing but they burn cleaner. Do you not find Paraffin a little expensive? If you're interested, I have a few of formulas you can try for running low sulphur road diesel in a paraffin heater, the formulas are really for non fiberglass wick blue flame heaters and/or the catalytic type you had before except (and this is important) NOT! for anything with a fiberglass wick as these clog up. This way, running the heater can cost almost half the price 👍
that's interesting, and yes paraffin is as expensive as petrol these days, also I do still have the other heater from my earlier videos, but it's in Wales at the moment, but the little black one chucks out a huge amount of heat, less than 5 minutes and the van is luxury
@@forwardtothepast2411 Paraffin here in Northern Ireland is around £3 per litre from B&Q and the likes. If you don't mine me asking but where do you get it for prices similar to petrol? Or are you running yours on 28 second home heating oil (higher sulphur apparently) A yellow flame is incomplete combustion (more chance of higher carbon monoxide build up) whereas the blue flame Aladdin's burn much cleaner. A blue flame is also hotter. I have an Aladdin, a Valor and also a Vintage 1950s Rippingilles sunrise heater. I've used paraffin heaters and cookers since a teenager. Be careful not to sleep with them running, I did twice and those two times the heaters either run low on paraffin and began to burn dirty or I had one turned up too much with inadequate ventilation. I'm still here but it could have been a very different story, I was woken up on both occasions. I was Young and with less understanding of the needs of combustible fuels in small spaces. If you're knowledgeable enough on the needs of these heaters like a trimmed and properly adjusted wick and with adequate ventilation plus pay attention with caution in mind and have detectors (CO and CO2), they are great for heat and even cooking. I'd imagine you know this, although!...someone else reading this may not be so aware of these heaters and their potential risks, I found my first one in a dump 'i think' but I knew nothing about the risks like I do now 👍
It was really fun to see the regal, hope to see more of it in the future. Preferably in yellow with “Peckham” written on the side 😊
Congratulations on the new van Joely 😊
both vans look so comfy and warm, enjoy your homes!
I love this page ❤
Good stuff mate!
