Not a fan of Phoenix being the championship race
The race was pretty bad, NASCAR should go back to Homestead or Atlanta.

Seeing Jimmie "pass the torch" to Chase there brought me to tears. Thanks Jimmie for so many great years and memories. With every ending, there is a new beginning. Big congrats to Chase! More to come!
When I came into NASCAR in 2017 I was rooting for Chase Elliott as he was and still is my favourite driver. I cried when he got his first win at Watkins Glen in 2018. And now, just two years later after his first win, he became the champion. That'll put a smile on my face for years to come.
Amazing effort by Jimmie Johnson in his final start. I was watching the race live from Jimmie's in car cam. It was awesome seeing Johnson getting his hand of the window every time he passed someone. Great race, great season. Happy retirement for Johnson, Bowyer and possibly Kenseth.

idk who that crew member was that handed Chase the flag there, but that was the definition of hypeman. Cool shot for sure!
Fun fact: didn't Terry labonte go winless, or just get 1 win to win the championship? Just because Harvick and Hamlin dominated, doesn't mean they were entitled to win.
Also, side note. Why are the final 4 always the fastest? Does nascar increase their horsepower slightly so they fight among themselves and make it seem like they final 4 are the correct 4 to battle? If so. That's lame.
I had the pleasure of meeting chase at auto club speedway. Such a humble and overall great guy. Im very happy for him

Why is it that no matter the venue, Homestead or now Phoenix, the final 4 drivers are always the top 4 on the track or at least 4 of the top 5 all day? A little fishy?
Passing of the torch for sure.Would have have been even better if Chase and Jimmie did burnouts side by side like Harvick and Stewart did.
Since there is no race the next two weeks, I'm going back and watching last year's races, and this is still the best moment of 2020. Period!

To me, Jimmie Johnson and Chase Elliott BOTH WON!
Allow me to explain why:
Chase Elliott started at the back after getting two failed pre-race inspections, but he came back like it was nothing. He flat-out dominated and without winning a single stage I might add. The Championship 4 were the majority of the Top 5. In order was Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, and Denny Hamlin.
After the championship 4 crossed the finished line, Jimmie Johnson finished 5th. In my opinion, Jimmie was leading the non-playoff drivers, which was the rest of the drivers in the race and he won by leading the non-playoff/previously eliminated playoff drivers. I believe that Jimmie Johnson won his 84th career win on a technicality.
Some will agree, some will disagree. But, that is the way a true legend of the sport should go out - Happy, and proud for his friend, teammate and now NASCAR 2020 Champion, Chase Elliott.
l was happy for the change to a tough little track, since Miami would have been with the 550 HP set up. Salute to Nascar for some great races under covid rules, hope to see some practice and qualifying next year 👍🏁🇺🇸

Can we just take a min to talk about elliot's jackman having enough knowledge and experience to know to go back and touch the wall at Martinsville last week. Had it not been for that, he 90 percent doesnt make the championship 4. And, doesnt win the championship

Once I get over the heartbreak of my own driver not winning, I can’t help but smile at the celebrations as one wins the championship cos it only comes once a year.
And that was another successful season complete.

Dont get your hopes up, look what happened to Kyle. It was mint to be though. The last time the Lakers, Dodgers, and an Elliott won in the same year was when Bill Ellliott won the championship. Also 25 years ago was Jeff Gordon's 1st Championship and the first number in cup for Chase Elliott was the 25 car.
