@@ilia0wolfskin I think the goal is to replicate the crew talking to the commander through speaking tubes on the ship. Speaking tubes are even still used on some modern warships because they work and require no power or special maintenance.

On a good match, you can kind of break even, but it's really hard to say how performance on a good match would go since the current matchmaker is filled with bots that you just reap SL from.

For example I energy fight, sometimes I dunk on half the enemies circling with teammates down low, sometimes the enemy plane just climbs better than me or perhaps I dive too early
Okay this is epic, now do this for ground forces. Imagine having your driver, gunner, commander, loader and radioman have their own voices, talk smoothly at full health, each crewman no longer speaking as they get knocked out, speak desperately when injured and the gunner stressed out when his doing the gunner and loader jobs because the vehicle only has 2 crew left
And for aircraft; I want to hear my pilot make callouts about enemy aircraft when they are spotted (Would fix the issue of people suddenly appearing behind you, to a degree). I want to hear my gunners calling out targets, getting stressed as they fail their job. There is so much that could happen with this.
I really hope this update serves as a stepping stone for new tank crew voicelines. I'd love to see a clear distinction between American and British, and your idea of more emotion in the lines and levels of stress would be awesome.
I really like the way the Italian crew sounds when they sink an enemy ship. No idea what they are saying, but that laugh at the beginning tells me they are very happy. This is the kind of stuff that really sets War Thunder apart from other games of this type. These kinds of additions aren't really necessary for the gameplay, but they polish it to make it immersive and just a little bit better.
Except when you have the black American with a thick black American accent going "this time the enemy has proven stronger. Withdraw" on the radio when you're playing a non-US country, or even the US before the 1970s.
I'd love to hear new air voice lines too, specially ones that adapt to the jets! Calling the type of missile fired, aka fox 1/2/3 or different states such as bingo for when you are almost low on fuel, maybe take some notes from ace combat and DCS

You're right about the British sound of it. Until after WW2, educated people in America, including many officers, would speak in a way that we now think of as very old-timey, because they were taught to speak that way in boarding schools and finishing schools, and a lot of it was copied from British English. That's why FDR says "whoa-ah" instead of "war" etc.
This is the proof they can make the game GREAT with those reworks and details without adding new vehicles (they can't implement with balance or making them OP) Please Gaijin, please do more of that game reworking things !!

@@mnguy98 Doesn't change the fact that Naval is the least developed game mode and needs new additions more than the rest. I'm end tier in all game modes now and it seems pretty asinine to complain about a lack of ground updates at this point. Air and Naval both need more attention right now.
I would have been satisfied with new voice overs for the default lines, but also having them reacting and changing with the intensity of the combat? That is just above and beyond. Hopefully, some day, these voice changes will find their way to the tired old ground and air modes as well, they too are long overdue for an overhaul. Great work, cant wait to hear it ingame!
I wish we see actual living people on the ships and when the ship is under fire you can see their bodies plus screaming chaos on the ship for maximum psychological purpose makes the ships felt more like you doesn’t want it to be sunk in a way.
Might actually get me playing naval, but dang these voice lines hit hard. Giving me goosebumps thinking about how people actually went through war like that and hearing the stress in the voices even if I can't understand the other languages. Props to Gaijin, you have accomplished your goal for these new voice lines.

As one of the few naval players standing strong against the script bot horde, I appreciate the attempt to liven our atmosphere. And given that the description mentions something like sitiation-awareness for what lines get played, I guess they are trying to catch the GHPC immersion hype. That said, after all this time, why are the Brits and Americans still sharing voice files? Also the Japanese captain sounds rather old, and assuming this is also used for coastal stuff, it will just sound like my commander is held back from being promoted to better things because of nepotism and internal politics (which....I guess is historically accurate).
This is incredible, Gaijin! Outstanding work! Would you ever consider giving authentic dialogue for all of the "guest nation" vehicles in War Thunder? There are quite a few nations outside of the main ten that are represented in War Thunder (e.g. North Korea, Poland, Pakistan, Egypt, Australia, South Vietnam, Romania, Syria, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Finland, South Africa, etc.) via planes, helicopters, ships, or tanks, and it'd be fantastic if their crews spoke using the appropriate language, dialect, or accent.
Fun fact: Russian crew voice in the start of the video made by shooting range voice actor on russian version of War Thunder official channel, his name is Alexey Chikhachev
