Yeah, the double standard of “Oh the VIDAR is overpowered because people know where to aim” and “The M109 is just fine” even though they use the same gun is insane. The only difference is the laser range finder and thermals. Which is something you don’t need in battle ratings that low, and you don’t even need it in high battle ratings either. Kinda dumb how people get mad at a premium but not a tech tree since they didn’t get the premium in their tech tree. But instead of complaining about an actually op vehicle, it’s better to just complain at the new premium that they wanted in their tech tree.
Meanwhile nobody is complaining about the 2S3M which is basically the same thing (if not better) at the same br. If 2S3M is fine at 6.3 then how is the m109 not?
@@Ghent_Halcyonperfect instance of someone that doesn't understand the game. The main difficulty with artillery IS finding that range. vidar? Press R and shoot. It's an overwhelming advantage. Thermals are also op because you can see through every smoke at his tier, and bushes. Plus the vidar has excellent mobility and excellent/bugged armor. M1019 and type 75 for the japs can be destroyed with 50. Cal in seconds. Vidar can tank shots because of spaced armor. The m1019 is very fine where it is.
Is there a way to reposition a helicopters heading from within the gunners sight itself? Like how in tanks you can left click in your binoculars to center the gun on where you're looking. This would be super helpful for getting centered on targets before firing missiles without needing to go back to 3rd person and reposition the air frame.
@@Sev07Sniper. I use mouse aim for both helicopter and gunner sight. Sure I can yaw the heli with Q and E but it's less than ideal. Like I said I wish I could override gunner sight aiming to reposition the helis heading (you know the little green circle) without having to hold other keys to try and get it close.
On the new map Flanders I always rush that tunnel on the east side. It's risky but if you're fast you can easily get too a good shooting position. And as long I have allies to my east and west, I can push up a little bit just too hold the point or the enemy team can very very easily take control back.

The Q-6 was cancelled in 1988-1989 before any prototypes could be made as the multiple delayment due to the cultural revolution, as well as being succeeded by the JH-7 which vastly outperforms in any role(hence why there is the Q-5 and the JH-7 but not a strike plane with -6) It is impossible to see it in War Thunder as there was no prototypes, with only very few concept drawings and models. Still, given enough chance this plane was produced and test-flied, it would be a really interesting character
Hi Gaijin, as there are more and more howitzers added to game , why not make a option where you see the map and can shot like real altirely , better crews and advanced vehicles make more precise shots (it could add hole new line of tech tree and push players to play as team so thay spot targets and than howitzera shot tham more far)
This would be awesome, along with some larger maps. A lot of the maps recently feel really cramped and make vehicles like artillery not very effective compared to light tank and MBT's respectively.
Fun fact, the M109 Paladin can’t safely fire while moving. You would also need a CAT to follow, because the Paladin doesn’t have a lot of ammo space. They also do not make APFSDS rounds for the 155 howitzer. Source: It’s my job

Those things were made of duralumin and doped fabric, the first thing that got incinerated in any fire was the top side framework and the fabric itself. The only thing left after a rigid airship blew up was usually just collapsed and blackened framework and some unrecognizable lumps of metal where the engine nacelles and crew cabins used to be - these things were built for extreme lightness and not durability. Still, the concept a variable map dependent upon era is a great one.
That would be too strong. The HE can kill a King Tiger on the turret face shot. Hell even an IS2 gets scrambled. And you cannot since you will need to up to BR to at least 8.0. Now that part of the BR is where it will be even stronger.
What is the point of the AMX-32 (105) if it's simply worse than the AMX-32 in every way but at the same BR? And how do you play it effectively? The 20mm is definitely useful, but can also be found on the AMX-32.

You retain full control while in the gunner sight. Just use whatever keys you would use

This would need a game-wide overhaul as the maps are too small for this sort of thing

Abbot is 105mm not 155. 105mm HE isn't really useful beyond BR 3.0, and 105mm HESH is dog...

HE shells are still unreliable ... it often happens that small modules such as the angle mirrors or the small MG-port absorb all the damage.
