What do you think about Macarons?
ive made them, but they didnt look as perfect as the ones in the video.
I ate one at the Junction Mall in Nairobi, Kenya. it wasn't as tasty as it looked plus I paid Ksh 120/- for it.

Finicky lil things…I’ve made them at home a few times, and once I was satisfied that I *could* do it, I decided to never make them again lol
The problem is that they keep their appearance for weeks/months, so unless turnover is high, they get sold stale.

As a Frenchman, I agree with you : too much sugar and too fat in my opinion. Well, it was an old pastry from the beginning of the XX° century, after all… I guess its taste must have pleased tourists, and that is what made its worldwide reputation. Among my relatives and friends, I know very, very few of them who buy macarons, actually.
I still like the taste though
