I have had Swiss chocolate like Toblerone, I haven't had Belgian.
When I was in Kindergarten I thought chocolate was made from the bark of a tree.
@Mahinda Githaiga Fun Fact: Actually there is a chocolate called *Borkenschokolade* (Bark Chocolate) in Gemany. It is mostly used for decorating cakes. You should definitely try to get one! 😉
@@DWFood Wow, thanks I will definitely try it when I get the chance.
I've probably eaten hundreds of kilos of Swiss chocolates of all kinds, but none has come close to my favorite...

The packaging looked fabulous!
This video provides great insight on one of the most popular producers of chocolates.
Danke für den interessanten Beitrag! Habe ein paar Dinge über Schoggi dazugelernt.
The conching was a secret for years, which made Swiss chocolate famous. That smooth creamy texture. Before this chocolate was more bitter and chalky to eat.

At 6:58 that grinder is very famous in India as wet grinder. We use it to make idly and dosa, didn't know one can make chocolate out of it😂
Hey man where can find this machine I can’t find in alibaba. In amazon have but too expencive
@@azizakn8902 are you in India? It's best to look for in a Indian home appliances shop. I wouldn't recommend Alibaba, a wet grinder should be tough and reliable. If Amazon is your only option in your location, I am sorry I can't help you.

The milk chocolate from Swiss just melts ❤️😭❤️😭❤️😭😭
the chocolate must inform the coco from which country...some chocolates only mention for example swiss chocalate,or Belgium chocolate...but reality is the main coco coming from other countries..
Mainly Africa but Cocoa is originally from America

Lindt Lindor Truffles.
Excellent, but the price is absolutely insane.
Dark milk chocolate? Never heard of such a thing before. I'll have to look into this.
It's probably milk chocolate around the 70% cocoa mark. Still with milk, but darker :)
Damn, that music in thr beginning is bomb!
I usually can't understand Swiss German. But I am surprised to hear Hoch Deutsch in this video .
You dont have to be surprised. We learn german in school and as the format was produced by a german company, they speak german.
@@BW-og1vu i meant Swiss german usually sounds different from hoch Deutsch
@@A-la-Weiss Yes thats what i wrote, we often use Hochdeutsch in official formats. For example in the news or in federal meetings, communiques etc. Swiss German is the language we speak amongst us.
@@BW-og1vu yes. Sorry, it seems I didn't understand your 1st message . Now I get your point.

A gift of the Mexican Mayan Emperor to the Habsburg royal family. Ich mag die Schokolade.
7 to 10 francs for only 70 grams? With that money I can buy 1 kg of cocoa beans and make my own chocolate - which exactly what I did. I bought myself a melanguer and learned how to make my own chocolate
Very impressive. What kind of chocolate do you make? :)
she said is the upper range of their cholate, but what did you expect from a very expensive country and small artisanal production?
how do you ensure that it is a fair trade
By checking for certification labels on the packaging. Fair trade organizations provide information about brands and products on their websites!

Everyone knows that Norway has the best Chocolate. If one think otherwise, they simply have not tried norwegian chocolate.
I'm with you when it comes to regular, reasonably priced chocolate, the kind ordinary people can afford to eat every day (but probably shouldn't). If it was a contest between Nidar Melkesjokolade and Toblerone, the Swiss wouldn't stand a chance.
But it's different when it comes to the really exclusive special occasion chocolate. The Belgians are the ultimate masters there with the Swiss as a good second.
Does Swiss dark chocolate contain genetically modified (GMO) sugar or other GMO ingredients?
@Dr.J 🤔Since there are a lot of Swiss chocolate companies, better ckeck their websites.🍫
No, here in switzerland all genetically modified articles are by law forbidden.
@@BW-og1vu Thank you so much. I think this Swiss policy is a very wise precaution to best protect the people and to promote better confidence in your food products. I am glad to hear it, and Swiss dark chocolate will continue to be my first choice, lol!!!

Chocolate originated in Central America and parts of South America *
It did not originate in south America then came to Central America. Chocolate isn't European it existed for many, many years before the Europeans had access to it
I do prefer belgian one ! less sugar. chocolate beans are much much better !
Belgium doesnt produce beans they just buy it from whatever third world country

Lindt is really tasty but tobleron and milka are not that good
OK but Cacao comes from Mexico not Central America
In Kazakhstan, they sell godawful "Swiss chocolate"😅
Yes but it was the Europeans who took cacao and combined it with milk and sugar to make modern chocolate

The testier chocolate in the world is Venezuelan. We forgot about our chocolate industry once oil production became the first souce of our income. I hope one day we recover our place on the chocolate market.
You are insane. Nobody has even heard or knows about Venezuelan chocolate. If anything, that too has drugs in it. Best Chocolate is Belgian or Swiss or maybe German chocolate not ugly Venezuelan.
@@kevinfed668 We have 100 years of oil and gas production. Before that chocolate was the main income. That's why you have no idea.
@JuanGarnicaVera first control your 1000 % inflation, then talk. You can't even afford a small piece of chocolate. Lol and you are trying to compete with Europe. Biggest joke of the century.
@@kevinfed668 you didn't understand the point. Oil production in Venezuela started 100 years ago. Before that chocolate was the first source of income. I'm not meaning the final product. The seeds were sold to Europe.
@@JuanGarnicaVera who cares about anything except the final product.
I just cannot wait for the day food handlers respect their customers enough to wear gloves, tie their hair, shave their beareds, and wear well fitting masks so that customers consume ONLY the product and not droplets of their saliva, sweat and hair follicles.
Lmao not chocolate in a wet grinder ☠️☠️
Swiss are best at chocolate is just a myth.
Good chocolate is all around the globe.
every "best at" is a myth. you can even get good beer in America for example. As soon as someone does something with passion and with good ingredients and knows what he's doing, it doesn't matter what country it is from.
The best chocolate I had was in the 90s, hypermarket brand...Swiss chocolate is very good but it's also expensive

It's true that it's a major problem affecting mass market chocolate brands, but if you buy Fair Trade certified chocolate, you can be sure that you aren't funding these kinds of exploitative practices.
So pretty much the magic comes from the cocoa butter and they don’t make it hahaha lol disappointing
