    My Pops had one. Same color. Daily driver for him. He had no idea it was a hot rod.
    His was automatic with black interior. Just a winner of a car. My favorite.

    As a kid in 1969 -1970, I can remember our neighbor had this exact same car, black but with black inside. He was an avid drag racer and had blown the motor and so it sat parked in the alleyway behind his house. I can still remember a Roadrunner decal on the quarter panel. This brings back memories!

    Love 64 Chevelles. Early 1970, purchased a used 64 Chevelle 2 dr hdtp with 6 cyl stick. Six months later it was sporting a slightly warmed over 68 302 Z28 motor, Pontiac Muncie 4 speed, and a 66 Pontiac GTO posi rear with 3.90 gears. Car originally silver was painted 68 Caddy Nottingham (emerald) green. Great car and quick as it was so light [3100 lbs+ w/o driver]. Great street car for 10 years. Surprised a whole bunch of people on the street. Sold it in 1980 with a 331cisb. Sold the Z motor separately. Wished I had kept it.

      @leojt9423  7 месяцев назад +1

      Probably, mate. When I have some time I need to take all that apart and reseal it all and also put a standard volume water pump on it. The water pump on it moves too much water and doesn’t give the engine a chance to cool down

    I had the same car with a straight 6 40 years ago. I haven't driven a carbureted car in a long time but to start it cold you're supposed to set the choke by pressing the gas pedal all the way to the floor twice then take your foot off the gas then start it.
