To be fair, there’s a point where it escalates from pranks to full on menace that disrupts the station. Just depends on whether the current security team deserves it or not if they’re powertripping.

Fulp sec
My most fondest memory of Fulp was being arrested for 8 minutes by a captain acting as sec after I shoved him. I maxcapped him. And got banned for 3 days.
Fulp is chock-full with people playing out power fantasies, it's nothing new, including the sec-department, most of the Head-mains, almost all Captain-mains and like 50% of the admins. Main reason I moved to Terry.

Pro-tip from a coder, when you make a statue of something in TGcode, it's only ever colored differently because a layer of color associated with the material is applied over it. If you want a perfectly colored replica, use white for your paint.

@@wayway7017 as another coder, it is true, what the statue is doing is taking the sprite your trying to copy, then adding a color layer over it that matches the material its made from
that said, this doesnt apply to EVERYTHING, anything done in gags actually default to greyscale and then have color applied over it for example, but 95% of sprites are not done in gags and thus coloring it pure white (#00000) will revert the sprite to its default colors
i used to do this with potions, slime potion of speed or fire proofing would color your clothes blue or red, but if you spray paint the clothes white they look normal again and still keep the effects
note that it has to be pure white, any offwhite (#00042) or something will make it appear white, its only pure absolute white that reverts the sprite to its normal colors
@@Yorick_the_Rat As long as you remember to stop carving just before the statue base appears, applying a #FFFFFF paint to the statue should effectively remove the color overlay that would normally give it away as a fake.
@@XiaoYueMao #000000 is pure black in hex color, which is what spray paint uses. #FFFFFF is pure white.
Also the AI was really based for throwing shade at sec the entire round lol.

I saw a mime doing this shit on fulp. She somehow managed to get it completely perfect so that there was not even a pixel to interact with on screen. She later got mauled by a blood demon.
It is the DUTY of Clowns and Mimes to keep Captain and Sec honest.
A shame administration rarely supports them in it, lmao, even on *Fulp*. But nah, gotta help the dudes who are breaking the rules of not only the station but the server. And unfortunately some Clowns are also not based in their duty.
But that ending... that ending was perfection.
Anyway all that aside if that Captain, HoS, and Secoff didn't get jobbans for this round, Fulp moment.

@@MrRavellon That reminds me of when another chef and I got our entire kitchen destroyed by security, and the other chef got flat-out permma'd by said officers. They kept asking us to come to security, and we asked them to bring a warrant. We stated we would refuse to leave until they had done so. (mind you, there were two lawyers, so it would have been an extremely minor thing)This clearly made them justified to throw a HE grenade into the kitchen, shoot lasers at us (not disablers) and harmbaton us to near death. They justified lethals because I shoved a sec officer back after he tried climbing into the kitchen.
Turns out, the entire reason sec was so pissed was because the other chef made corgi burgers, and a lizard player got sick and puked from eating one and they went to security claiming we had poisoned the food. Yep, all that because someone ate a bad food type for their species. One of the bartenders did something to turn a corgi burger into liquid and gave it to the detective to show that none of the food had been tampered with and they still refused to budge.

I am actually pbanned from fulp, and I still don’t agree with the admin.
I was playing as Clown, I got into atmos and I hooked up N2O to the distro, I had a next to no knowledge on how atmos works so I obviously messed it up, ended up flooding the station with lethal amounts of N2O.
After I accidentally flooded the station, I got converted to the blood cult.
When I got bwoink’d I tried to explain that I didn’t mean to flood the station and that I had just made a mistake.
Admin response: “That’s not what the logs say”
Ban reason: griefing as an antag

I did the exact same thing but as an assistant and i got banned for greytiding and self antag, apparently, stealing security's shit when they try to arrest you for no reason is "self antag" in fulpstation

not only would they get a job ban for even authorizing let alone going through with an exection (mime unironically commited ZERO crimes except evade arrest, thats it), but executing a transformed player actually gibs them, gibbing is permanent round removal and is not allowed on most servers, especially fulp, that would have been a full on temp ban let alone a job ban, but ive found admins rarely give a rats ass what security and command do no matter how many rules they break
@@XiaoYueMao blocking brig entrance with statues (even visible ones) could be considered Sabotage (which is a felony on fulp) but like I said it is a weak case.
Admins on fulp definitely have issues policing security lately.
I don't blame them completely because most ss13 servers have a problem with little to zero security players so it is better to slap them on the wrist and have ANY sec than role-ban and wait for another sec wannabe to appear...
Almost nobody wants to main security because whenever you roll antag (and thus become other job than sec) other regular players immediately know you got antag and at least act more cautious around you. And let's be honest antag rounds are more exciting than anything else this game has to offer (except random bullshit, of course).

I dont like captians or sec officers that follows whatever laws they want. Legally the can kill the mime because of the guns. But dude, its just a minor recomendation and you need to revive and brig him correctly. You cant just kill someone that is not a real threath or cannot be contained.
When the law says "you can executte criminals who cannot be contained" it means powered vamps or similar. Not a non dangerous animal like Gondola.
Sorry for the bad english, and yes, I usually play as an officer and this things piss me off.

The conclusion is: Spacelaw and Sec Sop are made to protect the crew, not to kill the clowny mime
@@pyromaremoto he drained it of energy and gave it back. Does not qualify. And "can't be cuffed" is not the same as "can't be contained" because humanoid can shove and therefore prevent further containment while gondola can't do anything.
Basically, fulp sec and caps do not know nor do they try to know Space Law or SOP. Despite acting as if they're experts.
Sad part is, that incompetence is generally encouraged on all MRP servers I've been on (with the exception of Manuel, to be fair) while robustness is discouraged (with inclusion of Manuel)
@@MrRavellon I dont know if Gondolas can attack and break things like other playable critters. And yes, you have a good point about the disabler. I usually play on Paradise station, so a little things are different (like space law changes or there is no gondolas). I agrreed that letals should not be used in this situation.
And..about the incompetence of sec or captian. What someone could do? I mean, only if you combat a lot in lrp servers you become robust, and if there is no magistrade/iaa you can be a shitty officer.
I wanna inprove that, but dont know how. Coordinations with your team and being a "competent" officer its really hard.

Then they executed the mime for bullshit reasons. And obviously they weren't gonna be punished for that precisely because they didn't know what was going on. Encouraging incompetence.
I've seen multiple times how success at a scheme was used as justification for harsher punishment. Discouraging competence.
