Another way to do it is buy the 7 pin adapter from Bohnman customs then you do not have to take the fairing off and install the jumper. Then do the quad lock. The advantage of the quad pick is if you have the 12 v free in your top case put the quad lock there

i went ahead and installed the whim and it works with my harley sena helmet. it is super nice. plus of course all the car play stuff with that wireless adapter.
He misunderstood what the flash does. All it does is flash/reset the stock EQ for adding an amp and/or speakers to the stock headunit. Nothing to do with Carplay.@@damiendethoor7250
The reason the Quadlock CarPlay adapter did not show connected to Bluetooth is that it only uses Bluetooth on startup to negotiate a WiFi connection. If you look at your WiFi settings you will see tht is connected.

Thanks, I’ve read where so many of them freeze up or just stop working. When out riding and using Google maps via Apple CarPlay the last thing I want is to loose my navigation.
@@cohibafivefifty that only time it disconnects is when my iPhone was programmed to turn off wifi at certain times. But I just manually turn on my WiFi and it fixes it.

I just want the same set up as you and if possible is there a video of you installing the quad lock wireless charger through the fairing?

I'm confused....I purchased a 2022 Street Glide Special....if I plug my phone into the USB port....I get Android auto and Apple Car Play. All you have to do is allow it in settings....I am not sure what the under the fairing dongle is for...maybe slightly older bikes?...I don't know...but the wireless you have...yes that's something that works as well.

My jumper was one of the first made that I bought off a guy on face book that made them for $15. I’m sure any of them are fine. I’ve even seen people make their own.
I don’t think the boom radio on 2015 supports Apple CarPlay. So that would be a no. If you have an after market radio then it might depending on the radio and model
That quad lock I have is a wireless charger. So any time my phone is on it, it just automatically charges, so I can’t say if it uses the phone battery more. If it wasn’t connected I’m sure it would since I pretty much have my google maps pulled up all the time.

If you use a good wire like the one your phone comes with, just plug your phone in to the USB an auto or Apple will come right on. You don't have to open or buy anything. Except maybe the wire?

You can now have the Dealer flash the GTS so that you don’t need the jumper!! And the wired headset still works!

Are you planning on doing a follow up review of the quad lock? Just want to get a long term use opinion on it before I purchase it.
I have no regrets about it. 100% recommend it.

I’ve been told the newer bikes have been flashed and you no longer need a jumper. I have not confirmed that.

Android auto come standard on them. Nothing else required. Apple CarPlay back in 21 required a jumper when you plugged in your iPhone for it to work.

You’re bike has apple carplay because its a special. So its add as part of the package. Others bikes don’t come with CarPlay.
