Shredding so many notes but very tastefully played, changing tempo, different pick attacks, varying note groupings, years of practice and a unique talent to be able to put them all together. Gotta love Mr Lukather

The solo starting at 4:00 is unreal. It is already a killer solo on the KoD album, but this takes it to a whole new level. Despite his own humble view on his past accomplishments, he has been the most influential guitarist for me and many others for more than 40 years already. While others have obviously been very influential to their specific era and genre, most have not transcended their popular timeframe. Instead, Lukather has continued to raise the bar through several decades and inspired hundreds of thousands (millions?) of guitarists around the world to play all aspects of rock, pop, blues and jazz - and made them better musicians for it. We’ve become students for life. Thank you Luke.
So many people don't know that Luke played session guitar on so so many albums in pop and rock from the 70's thru will into the 80's and beyond... it's unreal how much of the stuff from that time period is him
Steve Lukather had a talent for playing very complicated things on the guitar and still making it look playful and easy. I was very lucky to see him live twice... Steve Lukather, an absolutely uncanny & exceptional artist. His technique and dynamic is unique! Steve can tell big stories with his 6-string! God bless you my friend
I'm an old fart and was around when Toto was in their prime, and until now I didn't realize how incredible he is! Holy shit he can shred with best of them and he's more melodic than all of them
