thanks men, from chile. im begginig to retake guitar from many years, and ive a rap friend who have a rap band and he have the right voice for this, wich gonna make a cover od this song. it was very usefull. my hand is rusty because of the years, 10 maybe, aswell my english ajjajaja. gracias weon!!!!
Hey man you are really good at teaching when you messed up you made it clear and i didint get lost and explained plucking really well i really enjoyed this
It's rather detailed tutorial but I really wonder why you haven't covered the part that starts on 2:14 of the album version. to me the best part of the song and always pleasure to play
Love it. Deftones is definitely a come back to for me. Iam looking to get a similar guitar as iam playing more metal/hard rock, and I've got a strat. What model Jackson is that bud? I was looking at an almost identical Ibanez.
The sound is great. What gear did you use? Also, coild you reccomend me an amp to achieve that Deftones (and nu metal in general) sound. I've been wondering what gear is best for playing nu metal at home. You know, something simple, but quality.
I used a 15 watt spider from line 6. As for recommendations it depends what guitar you have and if you are using a stompbox distortion. I'm sure you can go online and Google "nu metal" guitar amps and find something in your price range. As for me, I don't really try too hard on learning about all the different Amps. I just play with what sounds good in the moment and let my fingers and ear do the rest.
It will sound different and it will be harder to play the strings for this song but strum lighter and use a light gauge pick and you should be fine. Let me know how it goes. :)
@@MountainsideguitarDT ok. I managed to get the song on ac. Guitar and it sounded pretty similar to the original music. It's obviously not the same as the Eletric guitar but it does the job
@@pedromeneses4247 hell yeah, man. Remember, as long as you found a way to learn it then it is easy to transfer it to electric when the time comes. I'm very happy to hear you learned it. Keep in touch. :)
This is quite challenging. A hand buster for sure
Haha it can be. Don't forget with this riff if you take it slow but play it longer you can develop the muscle groups easier
@MountainsideguitarDT great tip! thanks
Glad it helps
Been trying to learn how to play this. This was super helpful!
Thank you for letting me know. More videos to come soon!
how are your learning progress?

@@MountainsideguitarDT I’m excited glad I saw this video I’ve been wanting to learn this song for a while!
@@MountainsideguitarDT Will there be a part 2 to finish that last riff @ 2:15 of the song
It's possible but I usually upload riffs and parts of songs.

Can’t be too much of a pleasure to play if it brought you here😂
Lol I don't cover everything in every video. That's all. I choose parts of songs to teach online.

Thanks for leaving a comment, Isaac. Come back anytime.

Tuning?
I hope you didn’t forget me 😜 Rock on Body 🤘
No worries. Please give me plenty of time. Probably in 2019 and will do request videos. :)
I only have an acoustic guitar, will it work either way?
It will sound different and it will be harder to play the strings for this song but strum lighter and use a light gauge pick and you should be fine. Let me know how it goes. :)

@@MountainsideguitarDT Thank you :3
isn't the fourth (ebgDae) string used in the main riff?
Should be. If I didn't say it in the video you can just add it
Might I ask you what quitar effects have you used for this song please?
Nothing but a distortion and a little reverb. The amp is a "Line Six Spider 15 watt amp" and my Jackson. That's it.
@@MountainsideguitarDT Thank you very much. Can I ask you, does playing the bridge in this song needs another settings?
Nope. You're all set with one setting :)
@@MountainsideguitarDT Thank you, happy playing :).
This drop d ?
In the detail section
you can do it in drop d too but it’s sorta harder Lmfao
gs
It's so hard to play
Slow it down for a while until you learn the movements
@@MountainsideguitarDT I'm practicing this song right now, we have a gig in may 16 and I can't play this. 😢😢
Don't freak out. I've been there in your situation before. How long have you been playing?
