😅😅 Me too!! Idk about taking 15 minutes on each one, tho??. 🤔 They turned out awesome looking. I wonder if I could skip the toothbrush part?? 🪥 🤭 Coz we have a bunch!! 😅🤪
Omgsh! I just moved into a rental and desperately needed the knobs and hinges cleaned. These are my exact ones! Thank you soooooo much! I'll finally have clean handles!!
My house was built in 1962, and as far as I know the kitchen cabinets and hardware are original. Also, like several other people have said, my cabinets have those EXACT same style of hinges. The only difference is that none of them are marked JAPAN. I've cleaned the hinges up like was shown in the video, but my new problem is that I've wound up removing some of the copper plating on some of them.
What about 112 year old brass hinges covered in layers of paint? I'm removing paint from the entire room now. People painted the original wood too. It's gorgeous too 😭
I used a paste of Bar Keeper's Friend and water. It took a bout 10 minutes of soaking in a paste (all of them at once) and 3-5 minutes with a microfiber towel get the same result
We have the exact same hinges! Is there a reason the finish comes off of some and not others? I feel like I'm scrubbing the same pressure on it all. Trying to decide whether I finished all 46 of these or quit now bc they are all different finishes.
Holy sh*t I was surfing YT looking for a way to clean up our 50 year old cabinet hardware, and we have the exact same set😅

Thank you for the video. Those hinges are so beautiful and ornate I’m thrilled you could restore them.
