What about if it’s about 15 layers of paint? I spent a whole afternoon just removing 6 cabinet hinges just to get to the screws.., used a wedge and a hammer chipping the paint to see the screws… would this work to soak the paint were the hinges are and come back and scrape off the paint?
When I used a heat gun it removed the paint on the cabinets exposing ALL the layers so that option is out until I decide to remove all the paint from the cabinets

Goof of is the only thing that can take off paint ? Is there anything else that can work ?

Oops works as well, or you can use hot water and soap, a lot more shoulder grease involved though

Goof off water based is better and safe option

Hey, Paul. Great tip, but I worry about the toxicity of using a product like Goof Off and pets, or children coming into contact with the surfaces afterwards. I've seen some tips that use hot water (simmer) with and without other things like soap, or baking soda. Have you had any complaints or know how surfaces treated with Goof Off or similar affect pets and children after they dry?

I would assume coming back with a clean soap and water wiping down then doing a 1part bleach to 10parts water just to kill anything. But potentially after 48hrs the goo gone product would be evaporated

Goof off also makes you dizzy and nauseated - wear a mask! From experience without a mask, I can tell you it's bad!
