    I was telling someone recently that I used to paint projects before I went out of town, that way they had a week or more to cure before I went to the next step. Once paint cures it can be extremely durable but when it's dry but not cured through it can be troublesome just trying to get something back together without scratching it.

    I have uncommon sized drawer pulls and I'm finding it difficult to replace them, using the holes already drilled into the cabinets. Doing this to what I have will save a lot of money and disappointment in the basically non-existent selection of pulls. Thanks!

    I know this video isn't exactly new so I am not sure I will get an answer. What products do you recommend for a Bathroom vanity hardware? It is becoming impossible to find a replacement for them (odd shape/size, recessed, etc). I am needing to paint them black to match the rest of the hardware on the vanity. Since I am not choosing a metallic paint would a Rustoleum Black satin work? Will priming and a top coat help with the durability? I don't want it to wear off 2 years from now after being in a bathroom (humidity) on drawers that will be used often. Any additional tips are appreciated! Thanks!

    if i remember correctly, you recently switched the drawer pulls on something you refinished because you thought the original drawer pulls looked outdated. i know nothing about matching drawer pulls to different types of furniture, what is or isn't stylish at the moment, etc. perhaps others would also like ore information on this hardware topic. thank you.

      That’s such a good idea! I’m not sure that I’m super knowledgeable in that department though. Haha I got yelled at over and over on Facebook for putting leather pulls on a dresser. Haha I just look around at popular stores online and see what they have, or I pick something that I’m drawn to.

    When you’re filling holes, and you’re using stain after you sanded how can you get the stain to match up with what the rest of the drawer looks like since you sanded it all together?

    • @imafrayedknot9
      @imafrayedknot9 Год назад

      I've never been able to find a wood filler that stains the same color as the wood. The best thing I've found that works is by creating your own wood filler by mixing wood shavings and Elmer wood glue together. Apply, let it dry, then sand and stain. I've had good results doing it this way. Hope that helps.

    • @ARayofSunlight

      I put tape on the back of the hinge (the section that goes against the wood when you screw the hinge on.) I wrote on it and then folded the tape over so the paint wouldn’t cover up my writing.

    Annoyingly, this video appears in every search on how to paint drawer pulls WITHOUT removing them. Sadly, the previous owner of the dresser unit I have decided to glue the knobs in place as well as screwing, hence they are attached to the wooden fascia and CAN'T be removed without damage. If I could remove them, anyone can paint them!
