My wife is from Romania and she makes affinada, samale, and homemade bread. The first time I went there I saw hay being cut and hauled by hand using horses to move it. I saw shepherds moving their sheep down country roads. I fell in love with my wife and Romania. We've traveled to about 50 countries but Romania is my favorite.

You warmed my heart with this video. I am from Romania, I love everything that is tradition and everything related to Romania. I am glad that people like you are promoting this unseen face of Romania. I live in France and you even made me cry. I miss my Romania 🇹🇩❤️
From Singapore -- I've visited the country 3 times and I renewed my love for it every single time. Definitely my favorite country of all time, and the country out of many that I've visited that really made me feel welcome. I read the book "Along the Enchanted Way" by William Blacker and was inspired to visit Maramures on my 3rd visit. Breb was mentioned in the book, but I didn't manage to visit it. Nonetheless, visiting Sighet, Sapanta, and then walking across to Ukraine were definitely highlights of my two week trip. Here's wishing everyone is doing well, and I await the next time I can visit the country where I feel like home (Brasov city makes me feel at home the most haha).
First time I've seen your vlog and I enjoyed it. I'm from Florida USA and watching your vlog about the small villages in Romania is so refreshing to watch their lives, with basic needs but so refreshingly natural. The food, vegetables and fruits grown just a few steps away from their homes. I'm originally from the Philippines and I grew up in a small town in the province, and I miss that provincial life where food is good and natural and close to the people in the community. Great vlog. Congratulations.
In Romania we still hope to reborn this nation. Certainly Maramures is the heart and soul of Romanians. There is still true Romania. We are dissatisfied with what this country looks like today but I see a return to the roots of more and more Romanians.Eva, thank you for visiting, because you show the world how we are, you are an extremely sensitive man, wild at the same time :)) and a delight to follow you. One day I would like to go to Poland. in this history and you have all my respect for what you have done in these 30 years since we freed ourselves from the Russians.
My grandpa was born in Prilog, a small village nearby in Romania. It's nice to see tourism in these areas. These people who live there are a gift of god. A considerable part of Romania is all rural.
One of the best videos on RUclips about cultures i have ever seen. Thank you, Eva for this amazing insights into another and forgotten world that still exists here in Europe.
wonderful advice given from those beautiful people: Slow down, dont be greedy, and, dont forget to focus. Human nature at its finest. Thank you for sharing.
Dear Eva, the way you portray our beautiful country, its heritage, cultural traditions and beautiful people just makes me cry happy tears. Love what you're doing! Be blessed
I moved this year to live at an organic farm for a year. As it is in Germany, it is not that rural like this Romanian village but it is definitely a lot different from living a city (what I did for the past 22 years). I really enjoy how calm everything is. I feel like there is less pressure on me. Your videos definitely make me want to see Romania one day.
I love Lenuta's outlook on life! Slow down and quit worrying about THINGS. You can't take them with you when you go. Eastern Europe is very high on my bucket list. So much history and culture.
As a Romanian living in Maramures, Eva, I think your charm is a gem on this God blessed part of Europe... Thank you for revealing the true value and beauty of this land...

I have watched many of your vlogs, but this one was truly unique and entertaining to watch. You have a passion for what you are doing, and in this episode it appears you are truly enjoying talking, cooking, and making pottery. Thank you Eva.
Especially true in Iran and Pakistan. Their regular people are poor and suffering from Western sanctions and their own government, yet they are the most hospitable towards visitors from foreign countries.
The happiness comes from the inside. 99% among the peasants are not happy because they want city life. You see the point here? Nobody is happy with what they have.
I've seen just about all your videos but this one really drew me in. I really haven't seen much of Romania. The people make the difference everywhere one goes. I'm feeling the need to visit Romania one day! Thank you for always making so many fantastic videos and stay safe😊
I just found your vlogs today and I'm totally hooked. Such a unique and refreshing window to remote and amazing places around the world. Thank you for bringing these amazing people, cultures and lives to us💕
I think, I learned 2 very important things from this video.1: Dress at your best when you have meeting with God/ 2: Nice people can find the nicest peoples on the planet earth. Keep it up.Love your video.
Thank you, Eva. This brought me back to my childhood in Romania, when I used to spend all my summer vacations in the countryside at my grandparents' and holding such beautiful memories! I had the most amazing childhood!!! I would not give it up for 10 childhoods from this time. I am noticing that people are returning to old habits more and more, realizing that what we gave up is much better than the 'modern' life.... Romania is still full of places like the one that you have shown us, people from all over the world should go and experiment it, beautiful country of beautiful customs and traditions with beautiful people. Bless the Romanian people and country!
don't let that to destroy as in Poland...hardly now find this kind of places, villages but it was like that not long time ago - 10-20 years ago... now they started to liquidate family farmers...

Brasov is very pretty
First time I've seen your vlog and I enjoyed it. I'm from Florida USA and watching your vlog about the small villages in Romania is so refreshing to watch their lives, with basic needs but so refreshingly natural. The food, vegetables and fruits grown just a few steps away from their homes. I'm originally from the Philippines and I grew up in a small town in the province, and I miss that provincial life where food is good and natural and close to the people in the community. Great vlog. Congratulations.

BEAUTIFUL. Romania has a special place in my heart.
I am from Romania, I love my country. I miss specially the remote areas and the monasteries. ❤️ God bless Romania! 🇷🇴
Oh my god,, what a beautiful village with an warm hearted people..
Want to go there ..
Hi beuaty wht are u doing
wonderful advice given from those beautiful people:
Slow down,
dont be greedy,
and,
dont forget to focus.
Human nature at its finest. Thank you for sharing.
Dear Eva, the way you portray our beautiful country, its heritage, cultural traditions and beautiful people just makes me cry happy tears. Love what you're doing! Be blessed
"When death comes, it won't ask you for what's in your wallet"
Beautiful, timeless and wise words from Lenuta.
After seeing this video...I added Romania to my bucket list.❤️
Highly recomended. Rent a car and drive you will see more.
I spent a few days in Romania including Salina Turda. What a wonderful country. Rajat, what is wrong with you?
@@rajatkaushik2492 if that is a joke, you must be a very sad individual.
Eva this is truly one of your best pieces. Being of Eastern European descent, Lithuania, I enjoyed this so much.
I love Lenuta's outlook on life! Slow down and quit worrying about THINGS. You can't take them with you when you go. Eastern Europe is very high on my bucket list. So much history and culture.
The skill and artistry is amazing. Reminds me of my grandmothers, both from Poland.

come here and you will meet another world. I lived in sua and I returned home. you will surely like it. Romania is more than a country
I have watched many of your vlogs, but this one was truly unique and entertaining to watch. You have a passion for what you are doing, and in this
episode it appears you are truly enjoying talking, cooking, and making pottery. Thank you Eva.
PEOPLE WITH LEAST WILL OFFER YOU MOST
So true.
Especially true in Iran and Pakistan.
Their regular people are poor and suffering from Western sanctions and their own government, yet they are the most hospitable towards visitors from foreign countries.
Hahaha... not really
Ain't that the truth?
@@user-vf3lx9ix3e why are there "western" sanctions?
Romania such a beautiful... So many places to see.. Looking forward to go back again.
So romantic, so traditional, simple lifestyle. Wow , I am blown away by the humility of Romanian people...so friendly, too.
As a Romanian born and raised in the country side I see my childhood in this video. I almost made me cry. Thank you for sharing this.
10:24 I'm crying, it's good to know that there are still happy ppl in the world, having normal life
The happiness comes from the inside. 99% among the peasants are not happy because they want city life. You see the point here? Nobody is happy with what they have.
The more I watch your wonderful videos the more I fall in love with Eastern Europe and it's amazing people. Love your channel!!!
I truly enjoyed your visit to Romania. Such beautiful and humble people!
I've seen just about all your videos but this one really drew me in. I really haven't seen much of Romania. The people make the difference everywhere one goes. I'm feeling the need to visit Romania one day! Thank you for always making so many fantastic videos and stay safe😊
That is the most charming and delightful video. Thank your for sharing some of the rural culture of Romania. Lovely people and gorgeous country. 🙏🏻
Bless the Romanian people and country!
don't let that to destroy as in Poland...hardly now find this kind of places, villages but it was like that not long time ago - 10-20 years ago... now they started to liquidate family farmers...
what an interesting and wonderful way of living life. thank for sharing your experiences. Greetings from the USA.

So glad you enjoyed our beautiful country! Greetings from Sibiu, Romania!

I find Poland very similar to Romania, the traditions, food and traditional clothings are very similar like in the rest of Eastern Europe
Thank you Miss Ava, this look at village life is made all the more special by the joyful and compassionate way you relate to the village people. I especially like the little bits of wisdom: "when death comes it will not ask what is in the wallet", and your summary at the end, was brilliant, with the light of love. Rural life in Romania looks awesome. That food looks really good. Eva looks lovely in the traditional dress and head scarf...wow.
I absolutely loved this video and drawn to Romanian rural lifestyle. Just beautiful!
Wow I can’t wait to visit! My parents are from Romania and a lot of my family members. We’ve kept the culture and especially the food in our family.
Maramure's Magical Simplicity of Life. So deeply in love with the warmhearted, victorious Vorica; feeling the raw, real love beaming out of her! Then lovely Lenuta with her dough clumps turning into beautiful bread filled with cheese and savviness. Ending with delightful Dan's Dacian clay clumps transmuting into Art from the Heart and Dana's delicious diner/lunch. I sense it is not all about external community, but first and foremost about our own communion with our inner voice of wisdom. Only from that internal alignment we are able to radiate our authenticity into the world and into our surroundings, no matter where we are. Thank you Eva for yet another superb vid!
My babcia still wears her headscarf when she goes out in Chicago, especially to church.
So beautiful my grandfather was from Romania 🇷🇴 🥰

What do you think about trianon agreement of 1920 about Transilvania?
@@peace-jf3xx ... I think it was very sad that Hungary lost so much land. I still had some distant relatives who lived across the border in Slovakia, and there are still many Hungarians living in Western Romania. I have not lived in Hungary since 1957 when my parents escaped the Russians so I did not think about it very much. However, my mother was always furiously angry about all that Hungarian land being "stolen".
@@sbalogh53 also in Ukraine, city Uzhgorod (Ungvar). Btw I am searching a bit in history. Have you known that the kazakhs are distant relatives to the hungarian? Also in language there are some common words: ana mother in both languages, alma apple, kerek need, kichi, balta hammer, sakal bart. There are a lot of words I can not remember. And grammar for example my mother Hungarian Anyam , in kazakh Anam. "My" possessive pronoun will be built by means of suffix like in kazakh😀
@@peace-jf3xx ... Hungarians originally came from Mongolia, Attila the Hun for example. www.ancient.eu/Attila_the_Hun/
He would have travelled through Kazakhstan on his way to Europe so I am not surprised there are some left-over similarities between the languages.
@@sbalogh53 ancestors of kazakh people were the Huns, sakas and turks. It is obviously the Hungarian Khan Adlan had central asian face features. The common things are everywhere seen: house in form of tents yurts, past nomadic life, horses, arrows and Karachon on 21.12. Search for Hungarian anthropologist Andras Biro. He visited plenty of time Kazakhstan and searched kazak tribe named magyar (majar in kazak).

To live in a place like the village in Romania would be a dream.
No, it would not. Cooking over a coal stove is no fun and heating your house with a masonry heater is a pain as well.
@@partialintegral is not always like that. The houses in the video are not that common. Now many people in the villages have central heating and all modern things.
@@Nina.In.Narnia If it's gas heating then I could live with it. Coal heating would still be a pain, central or not.
