Gosh, even at many hotels in Scandinavia, beside you rent a room you need to pay for your car parking extra also WHAT...................What;s up with that ! Ok, enough said.
@@tcb1017 Unfortunately that's how we Scandinavians are. Here it's pretty much the 'fend for yourself' kind of vibe. We're often very sceptical of strangers and like to keep people at a distance. Not sure if you have seen the memes about Scandinavians standing far apart waiting for the busses, but it's really true. Of course not all people are hostile or sceptical but the majority absolutely is. Has a lot to do with our culture. We're not really giving off any warmth, which can be found in the weather we experience during the colder times of year. I'd say Scandinavia is a great destination if you wanna see a lot of nature and different kinds of weather. The history is pretty great too, if one is a fan of a little history. However, it's not something I'd recommend if you're looking for cheery inviting people. What I'm trying to say is, from an early age we learn that the best thing is if we are as independent as possible so we don't have to ask for help. It's valued a lot, so for those having trouble with it will find it rather hard to live and given the support needed. That's why for example disabled people have it really really hard to get by, because they're seen as disposable and not worthy. So yeah, individualism is cheered for, while collectivism is seen as something that shouldn't be strived for. From having watched a lot of travel videos, I'd say the warmer the country, in terms of weather, the friendlier the people.

I love your channel! I spent many months in Bosnia as a military guy and I befriended three Bosnian radio technicians like me. While living on military rations, one of them felt sorry for me and had his wife cook probably the best meal I've ever had. And it was finished off with Baklava which was such a treat! “Bravo Eva” That was another great episode, this family were amazing. Totally agree with you on the fact about looking from the outside of this kind of life, how it make people want to switch positions. I don’t think this kind of life is for everyone. It really stoning you some times in some areas, looking like in moovies and really breathtaking mountain valleys 🥰 as a hiker you would never regret a trip to Kosovo😇
Hello, Thank you for a wonderful video! As an old man in his late 70's, I found the video is full of many insightful and fascinating perceptions! I am always grateful for your attention and your time in producing/editing such fabulous videos!
Eva... you are making me fall in live with eastern europe and MY GOD you make me want to just pack my bag and leave to see these places.
Thank you so much for this and for you joy and smile, you are an inspiration for all of us travelers and overlanders.
the lady who hosted the tourist and cooked was really lovely and I could feel a lot of love in her making of food and the way she treated Eva was just like a mom ... thats something rare ...💕
A million “thank you’s” Eva for sharing this incredible experience with us. 💕
totally amazed by the host that's quite a meal she prepared, outstanding!
Thank you for visiting us 🇽🇰💙
Three Cheers for Fetije! Eva's got this unique ability to source out these hidden gems. Good on ya mate!
This is so incredible! What an amazing family! What a feast! If only I could taste the Flija.
If you’re in London or NYC you could probably find an Albanian restaurant to try the flija. It’s 100% worth it.
@@alb0zfinest Thanks for the information. Much appreciated.🙏
It is a beautiful pastoral place of rest and peace. Very kind hosts too
Very Gracious.
Good job little girl ! Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful and warm family - such a pleasant visit Eva! I had a smile on my face the whole time watching it. Thank you for sharing 😘🙏
I love your channel! I spent many months in Bosnia as a military guy and I befriended three Bosnian radio technicians like me. While living on military rations, one of them felt sorry for me and had his wife cook probably the best meal I've ever had. And it was finished off with Baklava which was such a treat! I miss travelling and I've seen quite a bit of the world myself. But now I can do it through your channel. I can live vicariously through you. I look forward to each and every episode. Thank you so much.
Best video I’ve seen in a long time. Your stay there is the definition of truly experiencing another culture. Bravo!
Fatijie seems to be such a wonderful and warm person. Thank you for sharing her life with us.

Eva, you have so many amazing, even epic videos but this might be your most impressive video to date. Your hosts are such sweet and hard working people. Thanks for showing us this window on the world!
I agree. This is one of my favorite videos of hers.
It's amazing, you can feel the love coming true the TV or phone or whatever you are watching this on. It feels really good. Great video!
Beautiful video Eva, what an amazing family, I really enjoy how respectful you present. Safe Travels
Just today, I was invited to go to Peja and I saw this video. Since my travel hero Eva was just there, I think I will go. This week is Kosova, next week it’s Canada 🇨🇦!
Everytime you visited little rural places like this one or those videos in Iran and Pakistan, I find these videos so enjoyable... They are so calming.. For a little I forget all the stresses of my life. ❤️ From Bangladesh 🇧🇩
They seemed so happy to have you there. Very loving people.
Wow, they are a tough and absolutely gorgeous family! Thank you for sharing a bit of their lives/your life with us Eva! Great travels to you :D
That's how Albanians and mainly all Balkan people are. Their life is not easy, but they face every difficulty without fear. It makes you tough, naturally.
It's easy to see why you decided to stay longer at the hostel - such warm, kind and generous people. And such good food to boot.
I get so excited whenever you show people making traditional cheese recipes from all over the world. They are so similar but so different at the same time. It is fascinating to watch.
Great video. You are great, Kosovo and Albanians are always humble and welcoming rto foreigners.
“Bravo Eva”
That was another great episode, this family were amazing. Totally agree with you on the fact about looking from the outside of this kind of life, how it make people want to switch positions. I don’t think this kind of life is for everyone. I got to experience a little this year after buying our village house….and it is hard work. Next year we will try to go in with both feet first….and see if we can handle it. You have intrigued me with the theme of the next episode, awaiting eagerly until next Friday
So hospitable and smiling all the time. The lady is so hard working.
You never fail to make me fall in love with the family you immerse with and the life they lead ... in every village you end up to.
OMG she is so lovely the way she hugged you and kissed you. ❤️
This video was AMAZING. Thank you Eva for your work, effort and simplicity. You are so humble I feel like that makes people very comfortable around you and you get to see the true side of everyone you meet. Thank you for visiting my country Kosovo 🇽🇰, I hope to someday meet you in person!!
this bringed back so many childhood memories from kosovo,i miss my country
Nice, however you happily live at the west, I guess?
You are living so many people's dream Eva. Thank you so much for the lovely videos.
Eva, The connection you have with the locals you meet make you the talented vlogger that you are. And that resonants with the humanity that we all connect to. Thank you for taking us along for the ride. Be Well ! Harriet and Jim Richmond, Va.
Eva this episode made me cry. It reminded my grandmother who passed away several years ago. We used to visit her for summers and she use to make fresh bread and tap it over just like Fethije did on the video.
I love to watch the people and their culture through Eva's cam. I can feel the pain when you leave the people when they become friends in a remote area. And I think life is too short to love the humanity and culture. How people find space for hate and wars?
I love this Kosovo family.
I love you Eva.
From 🇵🇰
Beautiful land people and food! You are so generous to share your adventures. If we can eat with our eyes my soul is full to over flowing😍😍💯♥️♥️
Beautiful vlog Eva. The area looked lovely but the real beauty was watching you and Fetiya together. You formed a lovely friendship, so nice to see
