You said you needed your sunglasses. I found that yellow lens glasses help a lot when driving in snow, fog, and at night. Nighttime they really help cut the glare from oncoming headlights.

Made me nervous watching this, would not want to drive in that kind of weather conditions. God was taking care of you that day for sure, too many things could have went wrong but grace was with you.
I remember the Forest Gump Movie, It had many scenes that made you think about life, did me anyway. Love the stories you tell while driving, makes the videos so much more interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing with us. God Bless and take care. "Keep the rubber on the road and the smokies off your back."

I think the freezing up windshield is likely because of the driver's body heat. I used to run the can a little cold in the winter and that helped some for me. The stupid wipers would sill get loaded up for me and would have to clean them from time to time while driving.

I have often wondered about the wipers freezing myself. After being an auto tech for 12 years I do have a theory. The heater core and blowers are almost always on the passenger side which puts the drivers wiper farther away from the heat source and passenger side closer. Just a thought.

JB the window freezing up thing you asked about. The road is a big surface with more heat in the middle of it, which is where you as driver sits most of the time. So your side gets more heat and nature does her thing on the glass. Its almost the same with why do insects always tends hitting the driver side at night more than the cool box side. You are in the middle of the road, more heat where the insects likes to be too, while prob looking for a mate. Hope this makes sense.

In Minnesota almost everyone is related to someone with a plow. When the place gets buried orivate folk manage most everything but the fed, state and county roads. In a prolonged crisis when too many people are too isolated too long, the govt won't pay but won't fine either if someone plows their way along a govt road to a private road. In 2011 everyone was doing everything via snowmachines. Lol it was epic!

I notice small difference on how countries deals with snow, after you talk about how hard is to see where the road is. Where i live in the middle of autumn, road services install long red/yellow sticks to mark road edges so that you know where the road ends and to help plowing services to stay on road.

JBG - Yes Jesus loves his Father with all of his heart but both the Father and his son Jesus love us with all of their heart also. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Jesus volunteered to his Father to be sent down to Earth to teach the gospel and died (with great pain) for our sins. If God does not love us then none of this would have happened. Jesus loves you, truly.

Sir. I have to say something about what you said. Crist died for both. Father and mankind. Satan said that God was not telling all the truth in eden, when He said "Do not eat the fruit of this tree." God wanted to protect mankind and Satan said it was because God did not want anyone to be like God knowing good and bad. Some one had to proof the lye of Satan...Crist did that. And John 3:16 Says that God sent Crist to save the men because He loved mankind and wants to save us all. So i believe Crist died for both. God bless you and your family.

Always drive to road conditions and be a defensive driver my brother died in a head-on collision over 28 years driving northern Ontario Canada which we all know that roads are bad in winter he was killed by a young inexperienced driver who was doing twice the speed he should have been and the roads were snow covered icy and hilly and curvy and sure enough he lost control while my brother is driving down 4 ft snow bank beside rock cut the other driver was 23 and no experience didn't even try to avoid just hammered brakes which you never do on winter covered roads my brother drove right till end with no way out and other driver just panicked don't put drivers behind wheel unless they have had some running in snow bad weather it's been bad up hear we have had so many crashes and all were new Canadians who get there licence without any stipulations been over 20 in last come years and all young men inexperienced drivers causing crashes my brother was killed by a driver who should never been on hwy trucknews.com day of mourning does a story of my brother if you get a chance take a look police report is in it his name was Ken MacDonald he was 49 when he was killed doing same nightly run a switch he did for over 25 years are Hwy patrol OPP said my brother was a sitting duck it's destroyed are family but remember even if your a new driver experience driver I hauled round wood and forestry products 5 axle trailers or super b s and when it's snowing just slow down that's it plain and simple we had another crash a month after my brothers closer to ignace Ontario two young inexperienced drivers together now this just blows my mind but it was only two lanes one East one West it's always really foggy around that area because lots of swamps and low land this driver was 22 he decided to pass another rig in fog that was so thick you couldn't see even a foot in front of them I mean first thing you think of is what is this guy doing he is going to kill someone well sure enough he is out in incoming lane and a westernstar with strains loaded with lumber is right there so we have a3 tractertrailer crash only people to become fatalities were the two you friends one was 22 other 23 it's just a shame someone would out these guys in a truck and say drive across Canada first thing I think is how could he pull out and drive down lane with oncoming traffic that you couldn't see it just blows my mind it's like Russian roulette I mean I would probably die just preying no one was coming anyway out of all 6 drivers 2 per unit only fatalities were the young inexperienced New Canadians just like my brothers crash my brother was by himself and other unit had 2 all 3 died in both accidents it should have never happened these drivers should have never been on hwy imagine our government would let these people come hear no problem but there driving is nothing like it is hear so instead of making special rules they let them get a car licence or commercial licence the same way we do I have a younger brother who had to rewrite his az licence watched a guy fail his written beginners for a car 6 times back to back he would write it fail pay another 10 bucks whatever it was and hey he finally passed on 7 th time now isn't that a system any way I apologize when I start on my brother I just can't shut up I got ptsd out of this trying to take care of my parents who have given up and if your ever up hear on our transcanada hwy be defensive cause every 2nd rig is 2 young inexperienced drivers doing 120 on snow and ice there needs to be a new way a graduation system for them so at minimum they get 6 months on winter driving most big respectful company's won't hire them unless they have at least a year hwy driving in all conditions thanks for time drive safe thanks
