One of my old friends actually had Stunfisk as his favourite Pokémon. He loved it so much that he raised one to level 100 and kept it on his main B2W2 team, and I believe he may also have shiny hunted one.
I unfortunately haven't seen him in four years though because he wanted to spend more time with his then girlfriend and started to focus on other things than playing games, so I can't be fully sure if it's still his favourite. However, I have him as a friend in Pokémon GO (which he does log into from time to time as we occasionally send gifts to one another), where his partner is Stunfisk

@@vulturesalesman actually yeah that makes sense. I remember when base Sun and Moon dropped (and I hadn't seen the demo leaks fortunately) I went looking in the school grass for cool new Pokemon. Randomly got a Shiny Alola Grimer before I had ever even seen the original Alola Grimer, so that was cool.

Personally, I just want a black 3 white 3. The idea that it would finish the threads left over from the last two games and give a great conclusion while also being the first mainline trilogy is awesome. Then again with the switch to 3d characters and Pokémon models, it could lose charm as what made gen 5 so cool was the idea of a pixel art style in a 3d world.

I honestly think a 3rd game that isn't a prequel like legends would hurt gen 5 more than help it. There's only so much you could do in a single region before it gets tiring.

With GameFreak’s tendency to shiny lock certain Pokemon for consistency purposes I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided that they shouldn’t update their characters just so that it stays consistent with their (or DeNA’s) mobile Gatcha game
I was a sophomore in college and completely out of the series, but Gen 5 brought me back into Pokémon. If they do BW like what happened with BDSP, then it'll be a wet fart. Legends Kyreum would be super fun!

The thing that sucks about Gen 5 remakes is that there's so many cool features from B2W2 that would most likely be completely ignored for the sake of being "faithful" to the original games. Beloved features like Join Avenue and the PWT? I can see the "PWT Project Has Started!" sign already.
I think if they do a Legends Kyurem the should make it a "Paradox" game and have it in the Future.

I would love it if they somehow went back to the pixelated sprites for the remakes. That would be so cool
Part of why I think BDSP failed is a huge part of Gen 4’s charm is its sprites. The nostalgia is based on memories of play throughs, sprites and the difficulty level. All 3 of those things can’t and/or won’t be replaced these days. BDSP needed something fresh. They didn’t give people a good reason to choose BDSP over Platinum, Diamond and Pearl. Being on the Switch, online play, a few interesting features and getting updates isn’t enough to justify its existence. It’s basically just a copy + paste project with just enough differences to pass as something new.
Edit: I do love Pokémon as a whole and I don’t want to be that guy who criticizes everything. I’m just a lifelong fan who’s sad to see the franchise lose its charm…
For real, the older games just feel so special and i hate that its loosing its charm. i actually made a video about this that i think was pretty good but i hope they do something about it since i really wanna see this game do good.
BDSP didn't fail. BDSP is better than Diamond, Pearl and even Platinum. Gen 4 games were slow, difficult to grind, and had lot of HMs. And no, it wasn't a copy and paste job. Fans don't know how video games work. It is not as simple as copy and paste. I rather play BDSP over any of the Gen 4 games
@@JamieAlexander18 BDSP is overhated because of expectations. I love BDSP and they are ranked 12th best switch game with the copies sold. People say play platinum over BDSP but nah i'm not going back to filling my team with HMs slave having an unenjoyable experience having forced teams/moves! Also I love the addition of ramanas park so there's legendaries we can get this time around rather than having them event locked
@@Nothing-37125 thank you. Platinum was good during it's time but these days it is outdated. It didn't even fixed all the issues from DP. It was still slow especially with the health bar drop. BDSP is not perfect and not what we envisioned but they run faster and easier to play through. And regardless of what others say, BDSP does have new content. Hideaways, Ramanas Park, following pokemon, customization.
BDSP is horrible. It failed because it was made by ILCA. If Game Freak doesn't directly develop the Gen 5 remake, then it's going to suck just like BDSP did.

i'd rather them take your time so i agree with you on that but on the other hand i feel they shouldnt take years and be able to produce quality games within a reasonable timeframe
Pokemon remakes are every other gen, in gen 10 (which is released or releases soon in 2 years from now if they still make the dumb choice of not delaying games) the gen 5 remakes are gonna release, so yeah it might be 2026 or 2027, so it being announced on those years wouldn't change anything, we still don't know if there will be more legends games so idk the schedule to those ones, hopefully it won't be near the remakes because that's just too many things at once for a company with 140+ employees (they would be working in making gen 11, the remakes if they don't lend it to another company, and the legend game)
Every remake has followed the release order of the series. Gold and silver will be first, then a new game, and maybe then we get gen 5 remake. Maybe? DLC in there as well for their new game

Honestly what I feel would work really well is have Square Enix work on the BW remakes and make it look like Live A Live or Octopath Traveler in terms of visual style as one of the things people liked most about gen 5 was it's pixel art
I don't know how many times I've said i wanted a gen 5 remake. It's my favorite gen out of all of them simply for the fact of how well black 2 and white 2 did, if they don't make the same mistakes as bdsp and remake the sequels and not the original, or maybe remake the original with more designs from the sequel, this remake could potentially be a very successful one. BDSP was a success. It is what remakes should be. They won't remake the sequels to BW because that is not how that works and it doesn't make sense. BW remakes are more likely and they won't have any content from the sequels because it makes no sense to do so.
@@JamieAlexander18it doesn't have to make sense, to me what defines a remake for pokemon is enjoying to replay the story in a better updated version and have at least a few things to do in post game. BW has barely any post game whatsoever aside from going to fight alder for the first time. And also, im not saying bdsp was not successful, what im saying is that they sort of lack the post game ideas they could've done to the game. Like ORAS for example, they changed a bit the story with adding primal forms and we had a good amount of stone to do in post game like the delta episode and going through the dimension portals to catch all the legendaries available. That's what i want for gen 5 remake, I don't want them to copy paste BW and call it a remake like they kinda did with bdsp. If they take what they did with ORAS and bring it to BW with it's own niche and stuff, it'd be a lot more enjoyable.
@@jamesmatt8397 BW did had post game. Post game areas with some having legendaries and rematch of Elite four. BDSP wasn't a copy and paste job because that is not how video gaming development works. BDSP has enough additions/changes to it and represents what a remake is. ORAS is not a good example of a remake and change way too much. Remakes are not what a lot of pokemon fans think it is. Remakes are just games remade from the originals for the newer players to enjoy.
@@JamieAlexander18 i can totally agree with that, but for me, who's been playing pokemon for many years, I don't find enjoyment in a game that is the same as how it was years ago with just updated designs. I enjoyed HGSS and ORAS because i was able to do stuff in the post game and gives me the want to replay the game over and over with certain restrictions like playing it with a monotype team, story to me or keeping the game as original as can be doesn't matter to me cuz I've already did it many many times. All i wish is for an added post game content so that older players who've played these games like myself have something to be excited about and wanting to buy the game, while still maintaining the originality of the game for newer players who haven't played gen 5. Im not trying to start any arguments here but what i am trying to do is show my point of view of how I enjoy playing these remakes. If you don't agree, totally understandable. My opinion, i prefer HGSS and ORAS more than BDSP.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think we will get Black and White remakes/ Legends Kyurem in gen 10 rather than gen 9. Because just think about it, with the exception of the kanto remakes all other remakes have come on the generation double the original, gen 4 for the gen 2 remakes, gen 6 for the gen 3 and gen 8 for the gen 4. So if they continue this trend then the gen 5 remakes will come in gen 10 and gen 6 remakes in gen 12. It could just be a coincidence and I look into this too much but it would make sense if it's not.

I have unsettlingly little hope for there to be any polish in future Pokemon games. Scarlet and Violet were (and are) piles of trash sat out in the summer sun. And they're the best selling pokemon games. Gamefreak knows they can put whatever garbage out they want and the community will still buy it.

Great video man, if i would have to say one thing tho, that is that you should lower some of the low-end frequencies and frequencies around 300Hz to remove the Boomy/bassy sound in the mic and it would make it sound 10 times better, also adjust the loudness of the background music, certain points of the video i found it hard to make out what you were saying. Lets Go Johto won't happen. LGPE was a one off with the purpose of bringing Go fans to the main games. It has done that. Also Go has been declining in popularity these days.

I feel like everybody wants a legends game because the only legends game we have is loved by the community and most people look at it in good light. Gamefreak could definitely mess up making a legends Unova, but since the only legends game we have is adored by most of the community, people don't take a look at the possibility that another legends game could be bad. I also think that it's more likely that future legends games (if there are any) will be accompanied by remakes of the same generation said legends game's story occurs in. Honestly, I don't think that another legends game would be bad, but I feel like that it would either come at the cost of another remake being underwhelming at best or the possibility of disappointing the fans even if the game is great. The next games, hopefully B/W remakes, since the name of the character holding the pan very obviously references drayden, meaning that the B/W remakes *might* include a story segment that includes the character, meaning that there might be a delta-episode style story expansion in the remakes. They also have the very clear opportunity to make terastalization available in these remakes since the Blueberry academy isn't in paldea, and all they have to do is say that "it's in unova" exactly once in the entire dlc story and it would make sense for terastalization to be available in the remakes due to terapagos being present within the academy. (Unless it leaves by the end of the dlc.) Either way all of these are just assumptions, so I don't have any logical evidence to back them up with. Either way, If the developers of the remakes are passionate about it, it WILL be good. Even if we ILCA were the developers of the game and the game was made in the chibi style of bdsp, it still has a lot of potential. Also, this comment is in no way trying to disrespect anybody's opinion, and I just thought that it would be fun to share my personal view on the situation! Anyway, I hope that whoever's reading this has great day, and thanks for taking the time out of your day to ready this comment! :)
i didn't start playing the games until gen 6, but gen 5 was what technically brought me to pokemon as I watched the anime. to be able to play the remakes on a switch would be great as I struggle to play games before gen 6 usually.

Whatever the next Pokemon game is, whether its a Remake/Legends/New game, I'm not going to be rushing to get it until I see all the reviews because I'm sick of Gamefreak giving us these incomplete games with all these lags and bugs and just an overall underwhelming experience.

The easiest way to address the issue of Black and White 2 is to just make a collection like with the Naruto Storm games it's one game you loaded up and then select which storm game you want to play. Then they could just do what they do for normal remakes like fixing issues and adding to the story. This will also address the issue of the extra link necessary to unlock the full content of Black and White 2's postgame because then your save data from black and white 1 could just be ported over to 2. And then, just maybe we can get that boss fight against ourselves we were robbed of in the original Black and White 2. But it's the Pokemon company chances are they're only remaking black and white.
Gen 2 remakes were in gen 4 gen 3 remakes were in gen 6 gen 4 remakes were in gen 8. We aren’t getting a unova remake until after the gen 10 games are out for at least a year

4:56 I'm glad you're able to notice that the way Legends Arceus looks is intentional. I've seen a couple hundred people complain that it looks weird or smudgy but they don't seem to realize it's meant to look like a watercolour artpiece.

In my opinion the best way to revisit the Unova region would be through a B3W3 which is simultaneously a legends game.
Let me explain in Legends Arceus right a the beginning Arceus pulls Lucas/Dawn from their time after becoming champion into the past. This explains why they are basically the best trainer in Hisui and older than in D/P / BD/SP. They know about battling, catching, type matchups and all of that. It's also the reason Arceus chose them because they are the best non-Cynthia related person.
So what does that mean for the Unova game? Well Hilbert/Hilda after becoming the champion and defeating Ghetsis mysteriously vanished as stated by N, who travelled I believe through the world to find them. So maybe Hilbert/Hilda were also pulled into another time to probably stop the "original dragon" or someone trying the abuse it. The interesting play would be wether it's in the past, future if not even both.
This would be really cool. I just don’t want a legends style game in the style of arceus. I really want b3w3 to have an octopath traveler feel or some sort of advanced 2.5D art style. Something that made bw and bw2 feel incredibly special and hold up so well
it would also allow them to tie up any loose ends with Ingo being sent to the past too

@@TKDPandaa I realize that longer videos are exponentially more work, but I would really love to see you make more longer form and deep dive style videos, at least 30 minutes to an hour long.
I find the algorithm really likes those currently, & it's a bit easier to enjoy getting lost in the videos on any one channel that way.
That's especially true for folks who are downloading videos ahead of time or dealing with adds between videos (depending on which side of RUclips's paywall you sit)

I like the idea of a Future Paradox game similar to Lockstin’s Neo Gehtsis where tins of Pokémon have gone extinct and they live in a haunt city. This could explain why there are robot Pokémon in the future they remade Pokémon need for the wildlife

Genwunners ought to have been elated at the prospect of getting to do a region with 151 brand new pokemon and relive their beloved kanto experience with all new content. That's how I felt, then getting to unlock the rest with the postgame, it was awesome. It's alright, just like with bdsp, I've still got my originals to enjoy.

If it's true that they're planning the remake of Pokemon Black and Pokemon White for next year then I'm hoping it's better than Pokemon Brilliant and Pokemon Shining Pearl Games because I wanted the graphic designs of the characters and the scenery to be more like Pokemon Sword/Shiled and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet games.

I dont want it announced anytime soon, they need to take their time with the next game(s), everyone is saying "they better announce it soon!" And rushing them, while also saying they want a better game, it makes no sense, you cant have both! It's Either let them take their time, and have a higher chance of a better running game, or rush them and have scarlet/violet problems again.
The hd 2d was best in xy and oras.. pokemon let’s go was amazing as well but I feel they should save that style for the go games, as respect almost
I propose that game freak makes a game where you can explore an open world game in a new region based off of Germany or that introduces new pokemon more interactive human culture into its cities with more open houses for the players to explore and a gym system so you can challenge gym leaders in any order and their pokemon levels would adjust to that order. The surprise would be that in the end game they you can travel between Paldea, Kalos, and Galar region with new interactive cities and their own truly open world wild areas. (Italy can have its own Legends of Arceus version where its set in Ancient Rome).
I really hope they add some newer pokemon in a possible bw3. I wanna see roxxie with a toxitricity

I don't want BW remakes. If we do get a remake, I'd rather it be a spin off title that no one played because the DS was still pretty small when it came to cult classic spin offs.
Gen V was actually my least favorite, however I'll be willing to give a remake a try.

I know that this isn’t really realistic (and I cry myself to sleep over this), but if there is one thing that I would ever ask of Gamefreak, it’s Black and White 3. I know that this is a lot to ask, but think about it! It’s set 2 years after black white 2, the shadow triad are the new villains, and they want to bring back the original dragon.
I would give almost anything to play that game on the switch. Please game freak, you’re the same studio that has made emerald, platinum, heart gold, soul silver, black white, and black white 2! You can make us proud!

1:11 - "a surprise hit for the series" feels weird to say for the lowest-selling mainline games. I think it's more of a cult-classic type deal, where B2W2 continue to be underappreciated by most fans even if Gen 5 as a whole is seen in a much better light

The thing is that we won‘t see a Gen 5 remake after the release of Gen 10, meaning that we can wait for at least 3 years. I personnally think it‘s going to be in 4 years since Gen 10 might get dlc‘s. In 4 years, a lot can happen but I don‘t think those games will be good. Tbh, since Pokemon is on Switch apart form Let‘s Go, time has come to stop buying it. If sales go down, they might change up the superiors since they have the say in how these games look, play and feel like. In Japan, game directors give directions on nearly everything in the games they make, so the workers don‘t screw up, it‘s the directors. It‘s really weird to see that the people that once made the games we all loved and couldn‘t stop playing, now make games with a huge lack in quality in animations, textures, world building, gameplay, texts, etc etc.
The best way to do it would be bringing back The old ds games on The switch like stadium and making a new game such as Legends kyurem
