Oh how far we have come, from having hope of expanding upon the originals in a remake, to now hoping they don't ruin it too much

@@mariotheundying Yes but if we are being honest, Legends Arceus was half baked as well. Legends Arceus and Scarlet/Violet should of been one game. If I were to give scarlet violet a 6.5 out of 10, legends would be like 6.8. Still not a great game but I saw the vision

As someone who’s played Pokemon since red and blue I can genuinely say I found black and white such fantastic games, I’d say some of the most impressive, original games they’ve ever made, the fact they were able to have 156 brand new Pokemon made it feel like they were really invested on making a new red/blue for a new generation of fans
Pokémon Black and White have been aged surprisilly good but it would be nice to get remakes of those games or what if remakes of Heartgold and Soulsilver? No those actually are remakes. 😅😮
Just imagine how'd each Gen have been like with 200 unique species? Each with Cross-Gens(like Electivire in Gen 1 or Togekiss in Gen 2). And none are related to those from foreign regions. How many Pokemon would there've been in total as of Gen 9(and even Gen 10)?
Changing everything to 3D with a horrible Chibi style made us go backwards.
@@champcee7 The 3D era in general and the DLC model has been a step backwards for the Pokémon franchise. Ever since they stopped doing the 3rd definitive addition of a generation and rather just do DLC add-ons the overall quality of said generation of Pokémon has decreased. The only gen to really break this mold was Black and White. Both it and its sequel were fantastic.
Instead of 3D maybe they could do 2.5D and make awesome pixel art.
I will forever die on the hill that Black and White are so based for only including new Pokémon. I like to go into games only using new Pokémon anyway. A whole generation where all there is to catch is new Pokémon? Absolutely perfect.
That’s one of my favorite things about it, so to compromise between both sides my suggestion was to maybe revamp an old area or use a new one like Blueberry Academy and have it be an area where people can catch some other regional Pokemon. Then just have the some badge requirements to regulate progression in that area and the Pokemon available. They could also have other regional variants of Unova Pokemon accessible through trade to mix up the base roster a bit.
But to this day, gen 5 Pokémon aren’t all new anymore.
Perfect idea with mediocre execution
Perhaps their should be an option when starting a save file so that the Pokémon encounters can include or exclude Pokémon from other region.

I really really wanted B&W to be what they announce. Either a continuation with the series in a B&W 3 which hopefully would somehow bring the original dragon back or a remake of both B&W and B&W 2 with their stories somewhat fused. And for the love of everything good in this world no chibis please 😂
I feel that if they did B&W they'd save a dlc for a B&W 2 post game setting but I honestly doubt it at the same time.
for me I would want both b&w 1 and 2 in one game and you can just play ether and a legend or a b&w 3
I like the idea of a B&W 3, as far as remakes go it would make sense and maybe give us two new gym leaders (just like B&W2)

Please no Chibi remake :(. I would personally like an Legends Arceus Approach to a Black and White remake. After all they initially intended a third sequel if I remember correctly. And give me Pokemon Musical. Loved it. Thought my pokemon were so cute and even attempting to get away from their shyness.
Also please no SV artstyle(character designs). Most characters there looked like weird porcelain dolls. And most background NPCs looked hideous. They should've kept PLA's artstyle. At least Iono looked like she's from Gen 8

Keep dreaming. Pokémon Company is too lazy and lost its passion. They’re more focused on their stuffed animals unfortunately.
One of my biggest concerns about Gen 5 remakes is B2W2 features. There’s so much amazing content in those games but it feels like entirely too much to fit into a little “delta episode” styled postgame.
The new cities, new characters, PWT, Pokestar studios, I hope they incorporate some of it.
^^^ This... people are clamoring for remakes, but I don't think they realize how much they'll be missing if it's just the original games (in the same way that like 90% of the complaints I hear about BDSP are that they don't have features that were exclusive to Platinum, like the Battle Frontier)
It’s best if they somehow just re-release BW/BW2 on Switch and then focus on BW3.
They could make BW3 a spiritual sequel instead of a direct one like BW2 was. Like how its done for movies. Similar premise/theme but quite unrelated to the original.
I guarantee that it’ll be a barebones remake of the og bw with chibis that ignores all of the bw2 content.
The fact that the original games have sequels (with new content, a new story, new bosses) means it's gonna be hard to incorporate such elements into it
Like what, postgame boss fight with Iris where she uses her B2W2 team? Marlon just being a random boss you can fight in by Undella Bay? Okay, that could be kinda nice actually
In any case, they're just gonna remake the original Black and White, update the type chart, and do literally nothing else and call it a day
No Black or White Kyurem, no Colress, nothing from the sequels
Unvoa was my first pokemon region, so my biggest request is to just go back there. I just want to explore Unvoa again, that's all I ask.
The PWT from B2/W2 is one of my favorite features in Pokémon of all time hopefully it returns in some form in the gen 5 remakes
It's a very cool feature, being able to fight all of the Gym Leaders and Champions (that existed at the time)
That's why it won't be in the remakes
I mean, they're only remaking the original games, not the sequels!
I spend so much time just making teams for post gen 5 champs and gym leaders like Mustard from the Isle of Armor

The most important thing the remakes have to do is actually work day 1. They can’t be broken with awful technical performance like SV and can’t have a massive day 1 patch with important game content like BDSP
16:07, I thought Gen 5 having a completely new Pokédex until post game was FANTASTIC, and if the remakes should carry it on imo.
As long as the promotional art shows Black/Hilbert has his original start Emboar and Reshiram.
I would be ok if they finished the bw2 storyline/ or remade black and white 1 and 2 into something new.
I want them to change Hilberts name too.

Hoping for the same BDSP experience for BW/2 remakes. BDSP is the best pokemon game on Switch so BW/2 getting the same would be amazing ( ,,･ิω･ิ,, )

The biggest problem with brilliant diamond shining pearl was that it was based on diamond and pearl and not platinum. Black and white are much better as a base game they didn't need a third version. That's probably the reason we got a sequel and not Pokemon Grey
They *might* announce Black/White remakes, but I'm guessing that the fans who are currently demanding these games will just whine and moan once they're out, in the same way that fans demanded Diamond/Pearl remakes and then complained about BDSP missing features compared to Platfinum. Because Black2/White 2 added SO many features, "faithful" remakes of the originals would serve to highlight how barebones they actually were... like "faithful" remakes would not include:
* Pokémon World Tournament
* Aspertia City, Virbank City, Floccessy Town, Lentimas Town, Humilau City & the connecting areas
* Join Avenue
* Pokéstar Studios
* Hidden Grottoes
* Colress & Gene Splicer
Sure we really wanted Diamond and Pearl remakes, but come on. We couldn't have known they would be so bad. We expected something like HGSS or ORAS. Not just a lazy copy and paste.
I don't mind remakes, as long as they are actually good.

they better not do another basic bdsp chibi style game for bw remakes people are gonna SO pissed. they will sell so poorly this time. granted if we get them this holiday season and the next legends game in 2025 then it will. but if they somehow release a legends game summer …..before november guess what. they will still sell poorly -maybe not actuslly bc people might have nostalgia fever after playing a legends game to relesse in the summer.

Hot take: I’m glad they forced us to only use Unova Pokémon and I wish that was a trend they continued with. It would’ve made the ultimate dex cut more palatable.
What if every Gen had 200 unique Pokemon? While each had Cross-Gens like Electivire in Gen 1 and Togekiss in Gen 2. While none are related to those from foreign Regions. And Gen 1 already had more features like a genders, breeding, and more Types(Steel, Dark, Fairy). While RGBY & GS(pre-Crystal) already had female protagonists from the start. How'd that have been like?

Ngl, I like the routes better than open world, I wish we could have something like semi open worlds routes, but they are still kinda linear and a little open world if that makes sense
A perfect black and white remake for me would be the following
-each area and zone has an expanded area of like 30% (except the little (except for the office kiosk intersections between cities and stuff)
-sword and shield art style and character models (no chibis.)
-rebattle the elite 4 and gym leaders and their mons change or something and moves change when you rebattle in the post game
-more post game content
Faithful ost remaster (i love gen 5s sound font so much)
-maybe somehow use heartgold and soulsilvers cell phone call mechanic to rebattle trainers aswell with the XTransciever
-battle sub stays
-cities get mega expanded into actual cities sizes or something
-keep the special music flares when you talk to nps
-keep the season mechanic
-keep the unique low health music
-make black city or white forest usable

Maybe I’m just blinded by nostalgia but I’ve never really liked this open world method since coming on the switch

I love unova it was when I started my Pokémon journey so I have more hesitation with the remakes than most (thanks BDSP) I just hope they don’t screw it up but given their track record I’m not gonna be surprised if they pump out a half baked game. :(

To me, Black & White 2 had the best content. Best routes, best hidden areas, best story, best postgame. GameFreak had better not screw this up!
I won't disagree with you on eventually but if the B&W remakes are made by a certain developer (ILCA) it will have the same effect as sticking a pin into a balloon held by a toddler
Everyone seems to have their own very special reason they want Unova to return which is super heartwarming. A big reason I want it to return is because I was too young to understand the online features of the game which made me miss out on victini and arguably one of the best trading systems in pokemon, the GTS. It was so cool seeing all the shiny pokemon on there. I hope the game returns. My favorite childhood game

What I hope for is that they add a new fusion. Since technically, kiram and zacrom, Reseram where once one Pokémon the truth, the lie and the husk. So i'm hoping maybe they'll add a mechanic to able to combine all three true form

What I'd really like to see in a future Unova remake/threequel/legends game is the Original Dragon either before it was split into the tao dragons or somehow made whole again(a la Ultra Necrozma, maybe?). There's been a crap ton of fan designs for it and I know people want to see it.
I definitely can see that center location being an open world area i forgot what i was called was it like dream park?
i hope they incorporate some kind of level scaling to make it truly open world (if gamefreak decides to make BW open world tht is) otherwise there's no point. Atleast SV was a brand new region so one could at least focus on the open world exploration but I doubt that will suffice for Unova (unless they make an entirely new place --> BW3 spiritual sequel/successor to BW2)

totally agree!!! I mean even if I prefer the BW2 DS gen graphics style over anything 3D stuff that makes my head hurt, I understand it is not timely. So the next best thing is ORAS 3DS gen style or at least an improved version of XY 3DS graphics. The main problem with these modern 3D stuff is the lack of "shading" and "texture" which are definitely very difficult to incorporate into game development but still achievable. So the easiest option is for all the characters to have "outlines" like in 2D. At the end of the day, I just want the graphics to be "easy on the eyes" so we can focus on all things Pokemon and the story. Graphics is the main reason why to this day I haven't played any pokemon games on Switch.
I would like the sword and shield artstyle in the black and white remakes. I hope they do black and white 2 remakes as well and not forget about it or ignore it.

I miss the pixel aesthetic honestly. The animations of the spirtes had so much character.
If they can do a 3D game with the animations on Par with Pokemon Stadium from N64, then i'll be happy
I’m a hardcore Gen 2 lover and would love a HG/SS remake(yes I know that’s Gen 4) but I’m not confident Gamefreak can make Pokemon games as good as they used too. Ever since X and Y the games have felt soulless and an incomplete vision. Even ORAS and good of a try as it was had cut content and I still consider them a pretty good remake. Unfortunately in the switch era Gamefreak has let me down time and time again. Scarlet and violet is the first generation I didn’t buy the DLC since my friends that got it all told me it’s not worth it and I already didn’t care for the base game that much. I can’t see a Unova remake being nearly as good as the originals going by Gamefreaks current track record on the switch. It comes down to I just don’t know if the Pokemon company and Gamefreak care about making quality content anymore since it doesn’t matter, everyone will buy it anyway. Hopefully Palworld scares them a little and they really put in the time and effort the Pokemon series deserves.
Well I think it was already confirmed ILCA will remake black and white, so I’m just hoping for the unova legends game at this point

I finish Pokémon games typically in around 30 hrs for the GBA/DS/3DS titles (around 50 for Switch titles). So when I played Black 1/2 it only took me a week to finish the main and post game content, therefore I only saw one season for my entire playthrough. Only thru replaying the game was I able to see the other 3 seasons, I really wish the seasons would cycle more frequently.
I think it would be nice if maybe seasons changed after a shorter period of time like how Dragon Quest Monsters 3 does it but with longer times in seasons. For example a season lasts 48 hrs irl before changing to the next.
both the B/W games back then were right when i almost fell off pokemon but got back for xy. i’d want some kind of ultimate remake for both versions because i do remember having and catching the legendaries for both black and then white 2 but legit don’t remember the story at all 😭😩
I just gotta say it don’t get ur expectations high especially with all these “leaks” that’s why every year people say the direct and presents are bad because everyone gets their expectations to high. That’s being said I think the should do a remake similar to Soulsilver and Heartgold and maybe OrAs in the same style as SWSH or maybe even SV but I think SWSH would work better, with the B2W2 Pokédex

time for the comment that gets me in trouble every time but BDSP was perfect and i love the chibi art ..literally all i want in a remake is the old game on a TV nice and cleaned up looking no more no less i have no idea why everybody wants the wheel reinvented all the time >.>
I also liked the chibi style artwork for Bdsp. They were cute. Though I wouldnt be calling them the perfect games. Remakes are supposed to improve upon the original games but sadly bdsp did not do that.
I'm sorry but the chibis in BDSP were atrocious. In my opinion ORAS did a much better job handling them
@@sylvyboi i guess After getting lets go & SwSh in the switch, ppl were expecting those kind of graphics for Bdsp. Soo chibi style bdsp did not receive well. Maybe if it had been remade for the 3DS it would have been ok

@@sylvyboi LGPE was the first pokemon game on the switch and still had such good graphics and stuff. Dont know why Gamefreak could not keep up with that in subsequent games....
Personally my hope of the BW remakes if they happen is that they are a recopilation of BW and B2W2....or that they are actually B3W3. Would be neat if we get a trilogy since its the only game with a secuel

As long as the BW remakes don’t look anything like BDSP, I’ll be happy. I would prefer full 3D models like in S&V, and PLEASE find some way to incorporate Mega Evolutions again; I’m dying here! But I’m curious - if we get Unova remakes, would it be a remake of 1 and 2 individually, or find a way to play both on one cartridge?
If there one I want to do in the remake for this game is going with my old team for it with maybe few changes
i think a black and white (almost) faithful remakes are the best option. i aslo think that they should leave the pokedex as it is in black and white(only pokemon from unova) because let's be honest when was the last time you remembered that heatmor existed?
Black and white were my favorite out of the the entire franchise! I just like I guess how more serious it seemed compared to the rest of the games kind of like diamond and pearl. If gamefreak does remake it I really REALLY hope they don't screw it up and put there best efforts into it!
I really want it to be multiple open zones like PLA but all the bridges all act as loading zones instead of having to return to a basecamp.
Imagine there’s a Black and White sequel but there’s just a missing person’s poster in place of Ingo
I can see the Dream World being added to the Xtranciver and the original browser game being remade in the actual games, I can see Pokémon contest being simplified and the musicals being removed and more so resembling the rhythm games of BDSP but actually good using Unova music, and I can see open world Pokémon just like in Let’s Go (over all I think the style will be similar to let’s go)
I actually wouldn't mind if we were forced to use only gen 5 Pokémon in the remakes. That's pretty much how I've been playing every Pokémon game on the Switch. I only use Pokémon from that generation (gen 8 Pokémon in Sword and Shield, gen 4 Pokémon in BDSP, Hisuian Pokémon and forms in Legends Arceus, and gen 9 Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet).
The most important things are QOL things like early IV training, some kind of speed boost mode, HMs like sun/moon (not needing HM slaves), consume items not being used in battle (like focus sash) etc.

I honestly just hope that the black and white remake, if it does get announced, doesn't end up like Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
I never played the originals so I’m looking forward to playing it, but I would like them to include at least the bw2 dex and PWT because I never completed that, but what I did play I enjoyed a lot

I do feel like Black and White remakes will be next year and Johto will be the remake this year because Johtos 25th anniversary this year and B&W 15th anniversary would be next year.
I would be OK with a remake of either the originals or the peoples, but either way, I do hope that it’s not unova Pokémon only. Having features like paradox, book would be awesome, too! Or even if they want to do a legend style game, I’d be happy with that too
If it does come this year I want it to be as great as HGSS, Gen 5 has been my favorite generation for a long time so it deserved a really good remake by getting the similar art style of SV a better Pokedex & the return of some battle gimmicks 🔥

I think brilliant diamond and shining Pearl designs are not chibi designs I think they're 3D versions of the 2D designs that's what makes it fun to play the game to me 😸
unova is the most dificult region they could remake. if they want to do the bare minimum they have to do bw3, if they just want to remake they have to do all 4. but ideally they do the bw trilogy.
this brings me to johto actually, the second most problematic, we are sick and tired of kanto, johto has to have two regions so they will feature kanto, but we will riot if we get more kanto, what do? feature unova of course.
Blueberry Academy needs to be included. (Just take out the last 8 Pokémon, and take out the unovan starters and add the Paldean starters.)
So we’re all just forgetting that it’s gen 2s anniversary
Idk why do Black and White remakes when Pokémon can just make a collections game of all of the old games but with online functionality and add the side games as bonuses, or who knows we might get a Gen 5 remake just hope it's not like BDSP. What I really want is an official Pokemon MMO where you can explore all of the regions in Pixels or 3D models, I don't know why Pokémon haven't tried to capitalize off of that, that would make them tons of money they are so dumb for that.
I love Pokemon, and I'm sad to see some of the hype die down. It seems that we're not going to get what we want, and that we'll need to take matters into our own hands by creating new indie games to compete or create the visions we have.
But for all it's worth, I'd love to see a billion dollar company succeed in pleasing the fans. At least then we'll have something amazing.

B2&W2 Remakes, but they're chibi, but add later gen pokemon, Like Tinkatink's line, Wimpod's line, The Galarian Fossils, Flabebe's line, Rolycoly's line, Orthworm, Charcadet's line (With both armors being actually accessable via rare rock smash drops: one will be higher chance though while the other will be lower & Vice Versa) & Mimikyu. Gym Leaders get a Notable Buff, they'll no longer be capped to three pokemon in their team, Marlon's team will be 5 pokemon, Glosiopod & Dracovish are the new additions.
